Happy Birthday to Adrian DX, Conzer16, MBAM & Kav82
Rummy replied to Dante's topic in General Chit Chat
Oh man, I know it's late too and I don't wanna be that guy who's just posting in birthday threads, but these are 4 proper cool forum people, all born on the same day! So I'm gonna be that guy, and make a late Happy Birthday wish to you all, what an epic day I have missed -
MadDog? THIS IS BIIIRTHDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY....wishes to you, from me, veiled in a terribly overused quotey joke. Apologies. Happy Birthday!

Onto actual matters of funny where nobody's a loser, this shit cracked me up proper for ages. I don't know why, but it made me crack up to no end. It keeps doing it, every time I read it again. I know it's funny, but I'm sure I shouldn't be finding it as funny as I am.

Stuwii, how do you predict the british economy will look in 12 months time? What about western markets as a whole, and compared to the other world markets? Semi-serious question, as I found the phrasing of the original post quite hilarious, and also as if Stuwii was presenting himself as an authority on the news(which he did not present so well). I half find this hilarious, half find it quite sad as of course there's gonna be knock on for the rest of us, and this whole Bradford and Bingley shit isn't good either. British economy is heading right down the shitter for a good few years methinks, best thing you guys wanna do is clear your debts and get yourselves cash monies. Cash is the best thing to have in a recession, right?

If you can draw well with crayons and back to front(like mirror flipped), do so on some sandpaper(like medium grade? i forgot which is best) then iron it on to a plain white t-shirt, stays surprisingly well and also has a kind of cool rough look. Well, I think it does, I only did it once and that was like...years ago, I think I lost the t-shirt at a party. Try it and see with some crappy old fabric first if you have any lying about to see how it'd turn out. I reckon you'd need some serious art skillz to pull it off though. It may also look quite obvious that you used crayon and sandpaper, in fact, this was probably a terrible idea and should probably be a last resort.

PETA Urges Ben & Jerry's To Use Human Milk
Rummy replied to Happenstance's topic in General Chit Chat
I already have enough of an aversion to milk as it is(my only real milk intake comes from tea, and then not too much so I have it strong and dark...like my men! Sorry.) to be having to use people-milk in anything, but it's not big deal to me, I don't eat ben and jerry's either due to aforementioned milk aversion, so hell...bring on the breasts! I'd definitely be interested in a job as a milker! -
As good and nice as this is, I feel it will take a bit of purpose from gamers everywhere. Who are we going to hate on and crack jokes about now? Every great warrior needs a great nemesis! They called me Mr.Glass!

I feel bad I found blender's post funny. I think this IS pretty crazy, my only thoughts were they were trying to commit suicide, but it's such a silly way to go about it, and so I'm leaning more to wondering whether they were somehow illegal or running from something, hence they tried to run from the police. Gotta say, it's pretty fucking crazy, but props to them for their efforts lol. Anyone know anymore about it? I'm rather interested to know...

More importantly, was there penis involved?

Man, I don't think I can get me down with this thing, it's the hair! Both head and facialwise, it's off just a bit. I tried 3 different looks for the hair, but I just end up looking like some kind of dodgy Bollywood villain

I kind of second this notion! Well, I third it really, obvs my first choice of place would again be London . But I don't mind Birmingham as I can catch myself a place or two to stay, and it's only like £12 for a one month open return from London with YP(£18 without) and I happen to think that's rather gangster. Realistically I could do anything/anywhere though with a bit of notice and a bit of cash, and maybe a place to crash? I feel like if I'm travelling afar, it's only right to try and make it more than a day thing
-
Yeah, believe it was, I bought Castle Crashers in the end, probs not gonna get Geometry Wars though cos I'm just too tight to consider it worth it, especially given previous reasonage. Only gay thing about Castle Crashers is I have nobody to Crash Castles with!

I dunno if it's just cos of you and your avatar, but I did think yours looks rather Parkerish!

PP! You've played Fifa before, the goodness of PP will offer you something fresher and newer, and therefore probably more than Fifa would. Surely there's only so far Fifa can keep going? I wouldn't even say buy Fifa at a later date(I see you already got PP). How are you liking it? I played for about 3-4 straight hours when I started off! Addictive as hell, for some strange reason.

Royal Mail workers to stage three-day strike next week
Rummy replied to canand's topic in General Chit Chat
I believe the strike is by people working for some company that Royal Mail employs to do something, and they're mainly engineers anyway, and so there should not be any noticeable effects on the postal service, or something. I got my shit anyway, so I'm happy -
Royal Mail workers to stage three-day strike next week
Rummy replied to canand's topic in General Chit Chat
Oh man no goddamn way! This better not be happening, I've bought stuff for my currently lonesome 360 and I want to fucking play! How tedious. -
You know what else is quite fucking annoying in line with that? When YOU text someone some information(such as a meeting time initially), and a text or two later, they text asking what fucking time. BOUT TIME YOU LEARNT TO FUCKING READ. This gets me soooo mad too, make a fucking commitment! I hate the ones who ask 'who's going' before they'll come out anywhere. As you may be guessing from both my points, it's me who does alot of arranging and it fucks me right off. My now-not-a-friend was well useless too, admittedly she had her shit and issues, but she'd always let me down at the fucking last minute for something, and I could never complain, and when I did I looked like an insensitive bastard. I *really* cannot stand people who make a commitment and break it, as it leaves me(and would leave other people, if i did it to them) at a complete loss because of time sacrificed for them.

You know, I've always thought if the oppurtunity presented, I'd punch Duffy in the face. No reason at all, I don't have anything against her that I know of, I just think she's kind of face punchable material. Maybe it's just because I really really shouldn't, I really want to. Second to that, people who c*nt me off royal should get a punch in the face, and in fact a few of my friends have recieved a slapping or a punching, though with fair warning and way back in the day. Thirdly, I think myself(and some other people here) need a good punch in the face, punching people in the face isn't nice you know! Save it for people who reaallly deserve it(or reallllly don't, for comedy value of doing it). In fact, I have been rather heinously punched in the face a good while ago completely unprovoked(it left a lump in my lip ), so I feel I have a face punching left to dish out. Who wants some!!

Cheap shit that betters the premium brands
Rummy replied to Olympic Gamer's topic in General Chit Chat
Noooooo! I'm standing by my claims that there isn't beating super noodles, ASDA's own brands(not the 8p smart price, the slightly pricier asda branded like) DO come close, but still it's not close enough. I am a fine connossiuer of the Bachelors, and have yet to find anything to match them quite so well. -
I see, I heard the online was a bit pants too, I am unfortunate in that most of my gaming buddies are now filtering back off to university and places beyond, leaving me rather lonely compared to the epic summer of multiplayer brawling that we've had. I'm in two minds about Geometry Wars, I've played the DS version a bit but wondering whether the game'd be enough to keep my interest for the cost, or if I could just do without it. I'll check out the demos/trials though and see how I like them. Cheers for the advice! EDIT:Just got myself all Lived up with some silver membership, checked out geometry wars and CC(quite fun even alone, i can see the multi being good, but as I said I lost all my gamer friends), geometry wars is nice and all, but I dunno whether it's worth it for me considering I can quite easily acquire it on my DS again.

I see, I'm really not informed on this whole 1080i and p thing, I tried reading earlier and assumed LCDs('HD Ready') did 1080i cos something said that 1080p was proper or full HD or something, it confuses the crap out of me. The PC monitor thing is a choice, and one I considered a few months back, but I left out a bit of detail of the current situation, I'm more after something designed to do the job of a TV, cos I'm sneakily(and shamelessly) looking to sting my family to buy it instead of me , so for now the PC monitor option is probably out the window. I could deffo work my sister round(especially if it has built in freeview), as she's got plans to move out and is gonna need a TV when she does anyway(a good half year plus to go yet tho), and my parents haven't bought a new TV for like...15 years, and they're so cheap now compared to then!
-
If you guys were to tell someone to buy the three best games on XBLA, what would you be telling them to buy? I've heard that Castle Crashers is good, Geometry Wars 2(is it better than the first?) and I'm considering maybe something else, just to keep my time taken up. Are they all worth the money, and exactly how much ARE they as well?

So, some may know I have acquired a 360, but all the tv's in my house are CRT and I'm kinda feeling like getting something to make the most of the HD nature of the 360, so I am looking for new screens of a televisual nature. My questions is...does anyone know a good place to get such? Budget isn't too big, £200ish probs, and is there any real major difference between 1080i and p(im assuming I need a 360 HDMI cable for 1080p too?)? I was just flicking through argos, and saw this 19inch for £130 but I have no idea if that's a good sort of price or not. Basically, what's the best/biggest I could get on a £150-200 budget? Just found the one Jimbob mentioned for like £160, though I don't know the site at all. http://www.techhouseuk.com/computers/monitors/22-lcd-monitors/lg-m228wd.html
