I'm gonna throw in my thoughts, though it's basically been said anyway. Firstly, the joke WAS funny, but I think it was harsh and went too far to be telling a man's answerphone about how you had sex with his granddaughter, even if it's just plainly saying you did such a thing, that's just harsh. Secondly, it's been blown out by the media and tons of people have jumped on the bandwagon, it's amazing how many people I know are talking about this but don't actually know about it much, like haven't heard the show or anything(myself included, I only saw a transcript in The Mail, and people seem to be offering alternative transcripts too, I've not had time to actually lsiten to the show). I'd say at least 50% of complaints are just off of what people have heard in the media. The media hype has too, in turn, led to the consequences. It's ridiculous how it can snowball such stuff in a big circle! Thirdly, the blame on Ross and Brand, whilst part rests with them, this is their style and bosses should have been aware. I'd say they clearly were as it wasn't a live broadcast, so whoever vetoed the show for the go ahead is far more responsible, because that's their fucking job. It's not Ross's or Brand's. Fourthly, suspension, sackings, quittings, whatever, the two are too much in demand. I don't hate them, it doesn't make either of them any less entertaining in their other entertainments either, so I'm not fussed and would still watch JR on a friday night(which was a rare occurence anyway). I think he's pretty cool guy, eh rings grandfathers and doesn't afraid of media. Fithly, I like making wordly numbered lists. Also, Brand clearly doesn't care and I love the fact he's just apologised and quit, cos he is sticking to something of his own there, I guess. There's an arrogance in it though, and he knows he doesn't need the BBC. Sixthly, why the fuck is JRo being paid so much damn money by the BBC? Jesus, I'd rather that went on something else and ITV or someone picked him up. What a waste BBC, what a waste. Half of the BBC is shit imo anyway, and it's probs cos they're spending all their monies on people like him. Shit, if I was JRo I'd have quit too, ITV would take me(sure it'd be a hard bargain cos of this, and he's probs just waiting to be offered better by one of the competing channels anyway). Seventhly, NUMBERED WORDS.

I've never actually had it happen, but one time whilst home alone a few years ago for a week or so, I got a strange call about people coming the next day to check regarding a gas leak in the street, I was immediately suspicious given I knew my house was only occupied by me at the time, so I told my friend down the road, and got some advice from elsewhere(plus I have two front doors, nice barrier) but most of all I went searching my house for a good beating stick. It resides in my room ever since, I think it's a table leg or something. Should anybody be in my house when they shouldn't be, I shall take it with an investigate, quietly ideally, and try to keep out of the way of anything, I'd love to think I'd go and beat the crap out of someone with it, but really it'd just be a last resort sort of defense.

I might make a top ten of my favourite Top Ten lists, but I'm incredibly lazy today, so I've decided to just half formulate this joke and let the punchline take. Yeah. (it is a cool idea though)

I generally despise any and all applications on facebook, the only ones I have added are C&H and Lolcats, due to picturesque humour obviously, but most applications I ignore and hate. Facebook was quite cool before it turned into the next Myspace.

Favourite Gaming Moments [Youtube vids only]
Rummy replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in General Chit Chat
Man, OoT has TONS of moments for me, one I really remember was the opening bit at the beginning of the game after the Deku Tree like, where you see from Navi's perspective as she flies through the forest to find You, bumping into a fence along the way, too lazy to go find a vid though. You should all know it! -
Mate, I spied them since the first page, so glad someone else finally mentioned them! I didn't want to seem like some sort of silohette pervert... Ahh, genius post Shino(jokes), but that gif's perfect for people who refuse to believe either. I can't quite bring myself to imagine each of those seperately though, can anyone else do it? Like, if I look at the clockwise one I see BOTH go clockwise, then when it shifts cos I look at the anti, BOTH shift. I love the brain, it's so silly sometimes.

I haven't won much ever. I won a cake once in some phone in for some show on digital tv(might have been bbc choice) back when digital was new, and naturally I didn't have it. It was a Bart Simpson cake that I won for answering questions about The Simpsons, which they'd rung me to do after I'd done something on the internet or something. Also once I went to meet my friend for when she finished work, so I bought us some food to eat and she rung it up, but didn't have any money to give me for her stuff so she gave me a lottery ticket with 6 lucky dip lines on it that a customer had given her earlier, saying I was free to have any monies. Two lines had 3 numbers, I won £20! I took £6 of that £20 and spent it on 6 lucky dip lines for the next draw, didn't win jack. Won stuff at fayres and that too as a kid, but that's nothing too fancy really. I've probs won some other stuff too, I feel like I have or I should have, but I can't think what right now. EDIT:Oo oo, I do remember, I was watching Poker on five once and it had one of them competitions and you could entered with an email so I did and it turned out I won! It wasn't anything fancy, a copy of a How to Play Poker dvd or something, but I won! I remember being quite chuffed to have one something

God you people suck. Yes, it IS an old optical illusion, and yes, it CAN be hard to shift the focus, but it can easily go both ways because there is absolutely no depth in the animation and so you put it in yourself. For the record, for me, she was going clockwise off the bat, which means I'm right dominant? But reading the description of the Left I'd surely have said I was left dominant, and think I found out the same in an experiment in first year! Here's how I do it, you see one leg roates and one stays fairly central? If she's clockwise, the leg goes round clockwise(the free one). Now, focus on that leg, in actually due to the 2D nature it's going left and right. When clock wise, it goes round the back whilst going to the right, and round the front whilst going to the left. Just imagine it the other way round, like when you see it moving to the right, imagine it swinging round the front, not the back, and when left round the back, not the front. It's easier once you've done it once, but still pretty hard! EDIT: Better idea, I remember last time I saw this, the advice was to look at her shadow, it sometimes help shift your perception. EDITEDIT: According to Wiki it's innaccurate to say this proves dominance of one hemisphere over the other, as this article claims; http://www.theness.com/neurologicablog/index.php?p=27

I was dissappointed she didn't just stab the guy on principle, though having said that I did rather cringe at the fire extinguisher being used as a head extinguisher.

Hmm, someone else said it's going to be the RAM, Graphics Card, or Motherboard(I assume the Graphics card was firmly attached, as I don't know why it wouldn't be and I assume my brother checked when he looked) the monitor cable was in proper too, I know it's definitely not the monitor's fault. I was hopnig it might have been an issue with the passthrough power, but haven't found another power cable to try and check with. My dad apparently asked some guy in a shop, who just went off on one about viruses, either he's just useless or my dad didn't explain it properly. I'm gonna take it to let him have a look at, if he'll do it for free, basically just want/need to locate the problem. As I said, I know nothing about the insides of comps, would it be easy/obvious for me to tell what's fried if I opened it up and looked? Like would there be any visible burn on the motherboard/RAM/Graphics, or is it just guesswork to determine the problem?

I never win the lottery I guess I never really play it either, but when I do...I don't win. It's 2pm, not too bad actually as I thought it later kinda approaching afternoon but I know 9pm's gonna come up and slap me in the face pretty soon, it always does dammit! Unproductive day so far, talking to mum about my silly sister(been some drama lately) and been feeling a bit low for some weird reason, but I'm sure it'll all pick up soon. ReZ, Jay, we totally need to get drunk sometime. Last year fireworks me and my two mates(after watching said fireworks) bought some wine then went and met their mate at his mate's, and she went to sleep early or something, but we just got drunk on wine and spent the ENTIRE night freestyle rapping in the most atrocious of ways. It was ludicrously hilarious, and absolutely brilliant at the same time. You guys reminded me of it

Relevance! Apparently it's actually true, too.

Once I saw a guy take a red bull off the shelf, crack it open, drink it all(i actually just followed him a little bit as I was amazed by his audacity) then he plonked the empty can back down on a shelf in another isle. Crazy.

Single childless white young male? Are you trying to tell me there's free money out there for me for not being white? Cos you know, if it's not the case, then don't really bring race into it. It's unneccessary, and serves little positive purpose. I can't really comment on the Tax matter however, as I'm currently working little enough that I don't get taxed(I filled in one of them forms to tell them not to tax me too) but I'm at about half my allowance now. What DOES annoy me is when they tax me on my bank interest, I still need to reclaim some from the tax year just gone, but the forms and processes just tend to confuse me alot, they really don't make it easy to get your own money back.

I get it from time to time, I hit up a retro game with a good caning. I've done SMW too many times(possibly one of my favourite games ever tbh), and SMB2 and SMB3 too recently. Funny though, alot of the suggestions are the ones I've done! Whilst I like Lylat Wars(got it on my VC) doesn't keep my interest as well as it should, and I played alot of DKR and Blast Corps back in the beginning of the year(I had an N64 procrastin-out), Super Mario RPG I have on my VC but I can't fall back into it so easily atm, dunno why. I might go back to one of those I think, all cracking suggestions, I don't want this to seem like it's just me making lots of excuses for not playing what's been suggested! I never really played the Wario Lands however, so now I'm going to look to procure me one or two through the wonders of ebay, or some slightly more shady methods depending. For now, I'm gonna continue me on with some more DKC!

Haha, don't worry about it, you're young and you've got plenty of time yet! If the worst comes to worst, there's always Eevilmurray to fall back on! (I joke, Eevil) My day has been decidedly unproductive and kinda...non-existent? You know the ones where it's 8oclock at night but you swear it was only 2pm when you looked at the clock ten minutes ago. I've...gotten out of bed, had pizza, play kameo, accidentally had a nap, hoovered up, eaten roast, played kameo, and returned here. I don't quite understand how it took 8 hours, and I was meant to write a spanking good CV and cover letter today and apply for a job! Pah! I feel like I should watch a film to pass the time but then again Layer Cake's on in an hour, methinks I'll watch it whilst internetting myself to sleep, though it doesn't help clear my backlog of films to watch! Read Coolness's Birthday thread! I love Coolness, he just seems to make everything so...fun!

Heheh, this is actually quite fun and amusing. Anyhoo, here's mine; Though to be fair, the original photo was pretty nearly an album cover in itself! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3035/2973575641_6135dac5a1_b.jpg

Haha, you realise you've just opened the floodgates, right? How old are you anyway? I find it crazy that people still get engaged and married and shit when they're young(by young I mean like pre-25), I'd say people should be together at least 5 years or so before they think about getting married! I certainly don't have any plans to be married before 30, but then again I'm also in the whole single boat so I'm pretty safe for now I seeee. I might try and get it out on my Tesco DVD rental thing for the Wii or 360, is there any/any major differences between the three console versions? Alas, that was wednesday's plan and I do not think that I can take the liberty of putting it off another day, my mother seems to be in a rather irate mood and so I'm gonna have to go do that now...

So, recently I've been feeling a bit of an urge to go back and play something old school, and was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions? I'm thinking N64 or older, any system suggestions really, though something Nintendo-y takes my fancy. I've been considering laying into the DKCs, as I never really owned or got into them growing up, I've been playing through the GBA remake of the first one recently. But yeah, anyone got any suggestions? I keep wanting to play OoT or MM again, but decided to look for something else first...

Halloween Games! (Warning: NOT for the faint hearted)
Rummy replied to darksnowman's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I don't remember the one in PM2, but I DO remember the ghost levels and houses in SMW, it freaked me quite a bit too, it was just the music. I dunno how they manage to make such sounds that would put all my hairs on edge(and I'd usually jump when I ended up dying unexpectantly, with that abrupt deathpinch noise lol). -
Good list, though I only knew like half the themes, please to see Megaman where it was, I swear Megaman music was like an early precursor to modern DnB or something! When I played the game recently(for the first time) the music just struck me as so awesomely done, and quite trancey sort of dancey, I could actually listen to that as music. Quite complex and very well made, given the limited range available to the developers. Of course, number 1 had to be number 1, it's a classic brilliance!
