  1. Don't be a penis. Name changes are for penises. Don't be a penis. (I'm a great hater of name changes, and penises, sorry.)
  2. Nice cat vids, but THIS, this is frickin awesome! I want some too!
  3. I'm with bluey, that title is...weird. Whoever did it needs to have a good chat with mr.freud, I'm sure. As for the situation Jav...well, if it was me in that position, I'd just think my gf was being a tit. Then again, most girls are, and especially cos they're rather irrational. You've straight up explained to her that your mum is just like that and that she barely even asks how you are, her own son, how can your gf seriously still think she hates just her after that? It sounds like your mum's just like that, and as you said she's paid for the two of you so that's fine. She isn't actually being out of order or harsh to your gf, so I see it as nothing to fret about, but I guess she won't take that at all. Maybe jay's got the solution here, though I think it's a bit...I dunno. As for me, I've never really been with anyone long enough for it to be serious enough for me to tell my mum, and I've always done an amazing job with skirting around things, I think it's a kind of a mutual understanding that neither of us needs to talk about it. She'd ask, I'd not tell her, she knows not to push it and that I would if it mattered. Also, my use of italics and boldings were unneccessary, but I really felt the urge.
  4. Celebrity fragrances? I've never even bothered to bother with them, why should I trust some famous actor who's spent no time in the perfumage business to be making nice smelling stuff when there's pros been doing it for years eh? Bet them fools don't even wear it themselves! I tend to wear just whatever I can get/is knocking about/I like the smell of. I gotta like the smell of it, I used to wear some Next colognes, there was a well nice one then I got bought a different one but still from them and it wasn't so bad but it wasn't as good as the first, and then one day my dad got bought some JeanPaul Gobbledogookymajig which I slyly jacked/got given, and that's lasted aaaaaages. So in short, no, no to celebrities and their silly silly smells. (P.S Molly I may have to ask you to be my new best friend and buy me lots of duty free, pls? )
  5. Hello all, this is a request for my sister(a bit similar to tapedeck's thread) however she IS looking for something small and cheap. She isn't very tech savvy, keeps saying notebook but I think she means netbook, but she does have some requirements as follows; Obviously wireless is first key/crucial, she's looking to print stuff but has a USB printer floating about so that's fine, size is kind of important - has to be smallish, some ability for web browsing and playing flash stuff/downloads(by which i presume she means streams), and she'd like it to be able to handle word documents. That is basically her requests, listed in order of preference. I'm asking if any of you guys know something that can do all that, and what'd be best for her/best kinda deal? I'd like for her not to have something too shit, though tbh I don't think she'd notice or care, but just for my peace of mind I'd like the most decent thing what meets all those specs. Anyone know of anywhere with a good deal, or just a generally good model/ones to avoid? (Just an aside, the wireless on my router seems to be slowly buggering itself up the bum, would one of these netbook dealies have an ethernet port? Would just be useful til we I fix it/til she moves out)
  6. Forget how but stumbled across this picture, and I'm usually scared but I find it rather cute! So I felt the need to post it here, totally not amused.
  7. I've not read this thread, and I've not made this thread either. I've been tempted to make a thread about Jade for weeks, serious weeks, yet I noticed the continous lack of it and decided it was intriguing to see how long it went on that nobody mentioned her! Intriguing, very intriguing. Anyway, it's another loss of life in a rather harsh kind of way and that is sad, but that's that and it happens all the time. This doesn't reflect any of my own views of her, I find her quite the phenomenon and that's why I wanted to make a more...serious discussion kind of thread, I guess it'd be overshadowed by her death now, though.
  8. Man, I don't think I've even finished watching the first series, gotta get on that then move onto this second series, after I finish up with Wolverine and the Xmen, then Heroes, then about 7bajillion seasons of smallville, then I've gotta watch that thing....
  9. I saw this thread, it looked quite interesting and so is the idea, but I dunno, I'm a little bit put off because it's just a comic really.Ntrly Jokes plzdonthurtmerez. I'm scared I'd fall in love with it, and then end up having to buy it for myself and totally wasting my 20p/future monies/stealing the 'rental' copies onlynotrly cos i wdnt do that but i just cannot afford to get another addiction right now at the minute oksrymaybeillthinkaboutit Maybe I'll think about it.
  10. I like all forms of beer, guiness included! Stop being such damn beer nazis! Also Dyson, in the nicest way, you have such an uncertain face. I like it though, you strike me as a fellow I wish to drink with, and come a few months time, me you and KN-EE shall DRINK!
  11. Ahh yes, I sort of know ealing! I think the N11 goes there from central? And I know a bus goes there from kingston, so I've determined it's somewhere west/south of central! Didn't know you were so close! We should find out what other londoner folks we have and arrange ourselves some mini london meetups! What zone's ealing in btw? Suprised nobody has taken you up on your generous sofa offer! I'm mighty tempted for the crashings to do stuff all weekend, but I'm gonna rely on my friend who I haven't told yet and at worst I can just come back home and head in again the next day
  12. Ehh, I didn't actually read the story much at all, probs should have but I wasn't in the mood. Really good game tho, deffo recommend it to someone looking to kill half hour or so. I only tried the story mode so far, might take challenge for a spin later, but the most interesting thing I noticed...a puzzle editor! We may need to make ourselves a little thread full of our own puzzles...
  13. Sleeping photos can be pretty damn horrendous. Unfortunately for me, I'm that guy what always falls asleep at things. I vote ReZ or someone who has such photo share it with us all so I can be the one laughing at the sleeping guy for once!
  14. Damn you and your addictive web gamey links that keep getting you stuck! Nice little thing though. I've just done both PD and MP, I'd say PD is more about sequence, and MP is just a case of timing.
  15. I'm usually busy on tuesday with my aikido so tbf I'm gonna be doing that really, though we sometimes have a pint in the bar after so I might have a guiness specifically towards the old irish day, but really I don't think I'm gonna be doing anything significant for it this year(usually a good old long drink in some of the pubs)
  16. Haha, a photo battle! Twas good, maybe something new for the playground... I am rather liking the new hair jay, though it is a bit weird seeing it without a lick of colour of somewhere, put some in it! I also noticed your drinking establishment of choice was a spoons, hats off to you sir! Whilst I'm here, a few photos from NYE in central(there's been a lack of phototaking in my life lately), I love the first one, and the second one, actually I really loved all my photos from that night! Nobody seems to recall what we were looking at in the second one!
  17. Not impossible, but as I said it's probably unlikely to happen unless the copyright owners make a claim to the material, like when TV shows are taken off youtube and that.
  18. Looks like I'm gonna be raising my littl'uns for a career in arch-villainy then! Muahahahaha!
  19. *siddles up beside* Hey baby [/obligatory pass] But yeah, I agree with Molly. I'd love to have children one day, but it has to be when it's a best situation for the kid, and I also know that I don't want any for a while yet! I'm still young, got my life to live and all that! I've felt the kind of broodyness(and I agree with jay, I think it's easier and more common for guys to think it earlier, cos they don't have the joy of carrying the baby) at times, but I know I'm not ready yet. I do agree btw, you've got some pretty cute kids there Odwin! They must take after their mother alot...jokesjokesjokespleasedontbanhurtme. I've got a little cousin, she's like 10years younger than me but she's awesome and I've seen her growing up and it makes me feel funny inside, which made me think I could be a good dad! But yeah, not for a while yet. Nonono. I also always wonder, you must think before that you'll be a certain kind of parent, that cool kind of parent that has a really good relationship with their child etc, and I really would love to be that, but I fear I'll just end up as some sort of...psycho dad. I don't want to be a psycho dad. I also don't know if I'd want a girls, boys, both, just one etc etc. This is why I'm not ready to be a father yet!
  20. I own a Wii. Hell, I think it was cos of the Wii that I joined this place's forums! However, I did last year cave and get a 360 on the side(mainly for fable) and since I've played that more than the Wii. I only really use the Wii for Brawling, that's it. I HAVE been dissappointed with its output, and that's why I got the 360. Along with that, the cost of Wii games just don't seem worth it in comparison to 360 ones
  21. So RE4 and RE5 are the least 'resi' games of the series? Cos they're the only two I've actually played! Always keep meaning to try and get the older ones to play, but just never get round to it...
  22. Aww thanks, I do rather like it too, and my hat is on my head a good proportion of the time! Sometimes I wish I COULD sew it on! It's currently been misplaced somewhere... But how short short, like back in 07/08 time kinda short? Shorter? I was all confident and now I'm having second thoughts! I should have anticipated this thread just telling me I look like people, though. Have you ever had long hair EEVIL? I can sort of imagine you with long hair, but it doesn't seem to suit you in my head.
  23. Lol, thanks I guess(he does annoy me 50% of the time), I am struggling to see it but it's an appreciated comment! Rather unfortunately, it's natrually quick thick hair, and naturally quite damn curly. It has always been quite unmanageable(heh, saying that always makes me giggle) and I usually have to brush it when wet to get anything going with it, I use like...nothing in it, except I put a tiny bit of baby oil on it sometimes to hold it together and reduce frizzzzz after washings. Thanks for all the responses guys, looks like early 2008 time is winning, which is I guess a bit shorter than I was gonna go for, and may be hard to maintain cos it had basically grown out for a year from cuttings, with it once being trimmed and thinned a bit(which led to all sorts of annoyance). I may not get it quite as short as that, but all your opinions have given me some confidence in my original plan! And Mr.Odwin, it was funny you should mention the facial hair, I was considering it too, maybe giving it a clean shave and then letting it grow out again...
  24. Did everyone in this thread notice how he said for business use at the end of his post, and thus a number of suggested 'free' antiviruses would not then be free under their license agreements. As for me personally, I know little of Antivirus beyond the free, and some non free, options available to home users for personal use. However, if you know of ones like that which are good and do the job, I'd say you might as well just shell out for the business edition or whatever, also easier because it's something you know(I'm presuming you'd be able to help the person who wants it, if they needed any).
