Grr I knew that Dr Fraken, and I only just spotted this thread. I've been meaning to post a topic about this game to see if anyone's played it, but thought I'd stick it on here to see instead.

In 2/3 years the graphics cards out now that surpass the 360 will probably be around the £100 mark, so they may not be as out of reach as you'd think. Although the casuals still probably wont bother because taking a PC apart is "Scary." And the hardcore would of probably already brought the same cards when they were at the £300 mark. So in short I have no idea where this post is going. Move along nothing to see here.

Just ordered this from play but it's out of stock, they have it for £17.99 Just thought I'd let people that are on the fence about this game know, I was a bit put off by the initial price tag but for £18 I'm laughing all the way to the bank. Lets just hope they get it back in stock soon.

Well it could possibly be the sex scenes that got it a AO rating in America, who know's why it got banned here. Probably far too bleak for us English to handle, with our rainy summer it could push us all over the edge. We know that NoA have commented to say that they wont release an AO game, but we don't know specifically if that means Nintendo wont release it in Europe. I mean afterall it hasn't recieved a AO rating in France so chances are it could still be released there.

And with no box you'll only be able to exchange it for another Game cable. They'll just take the new one out of the box and stick your broken one in that so they can send it back to head office. I have the same cable, with no box or reciept either so no idea what i'd do if mine broke. I'd probably cut my losses and go for an official one as they're a lot easier to get hold of now.

A lot of people are saying that it must be bad if they've banned it, they've only ever banned one other game. Now let's look at that other game they've banned Carmageddon which had to be changed (people to zombies) before they'd allow it. Oh and let's not forget about a game released 4 years earlier Quarantine which allowed you to run people over (zombies and people). Okay you didn't get points for running them over in Quarantine but the violence was much worse, circular saw on the front of your car and a flame thrower. I'm sorry but the banning of Carmageddon was a joke in my eye's at the time and is a joke now. Especially joined with the fact that a magazine freely availible at the time had a demo of it pre-release that was un-cut (came in handy if you wanted to change the zombies back to people in the full game). I'm not saying that manhunt isn't very violent, but I'm guessing in a years time we'll be seeing a re-release of the uncut version on store shelves. And BBFC's track record of banning games isn't exactly consistant, GTA came out a little while later with no problems. Similar content, different presentation. Maybe if they moved the camera in Manhunt 2 to be overhead instead of over the shoulder they'd allow it through.

GTA:SA only got the AO because of the hot coffee mod, once Rock Star removed the code it went back to it's M rating. So yes AO for GTA:SA was only there because of the "sex" proving that in america it's okay for a 15 year old to simulate beating a hooker to death with a dildo. But not okay for them to see CJ having sex with his clothes on. Woot I turned 27 going on 16 today

I remember when I worked in Game we had the Joy Of Sex for the PC, I'm pretty sure it was only a 15 but can't remember. We had a look at it once, was pretty gratitous (close to hardcore but not quite). I think it got away with it as it was educational, and you had to put up with 20 mins of some old bearded dude talking in between scenes.

Day of the Tentacle was one of my first PC games, it cost me £42 and was worth every penny. And people say games are expensive now-a-days. There's been rumours of a new monkey island game, but they are very very very pinch of salt rumours. I found out an interesting fact the other day, the guy who wrote the monkey island script for the film that got canned eventually ended up working on Pirates of the Caribean. The Zombie Pirate Barbosa Hmm I may have to go through the monkey island games again.

It might come out in other European countries. It's still on play.com and arn't they based in jersey?

Your forgetting that according to the BBFC it's acceptable to kill zombies anyway you want but not to kill normal people, even if they are drug crazed gang members. Take a look at the only other game they banned, Carmageddon, and how did they get that over turned? That's right they replaced the humans with zombies (it's perfectly acceptable to run them over). Although unlike Carma I doubt we're going to be able to download an easy patch to change them back again. I wasn't going to bother with this game TBH, the whole stealth genre hasn't really appealed to me. But I might have to import this now, just to get one up on "The Man." I might play it smoking a spliff just to emphasize the point.

I heard something the other day about this. Now it was only by a commenter on gonintendo so take a handful of salt with this. One of reasons nintendo backed out of the whole CD add-on was because sony wanted quite a big slice of the profits, so nintendo backed. Especially after seeing how well the Mega CD and 32X did I can't blame them really. You can change the height of the camera in the video options section, I think the higher the number the closer the camera. Not sure what the difference between dynamic and static is like though I've kept mine on dynamic.

Just borrowed Red Steel off of a friend, it's quite good. But I think the frame rate lets it down to be honest. So I think you should add that to your list mcj. Have only got a little way into the game so far, just gone to tokyo, so I don't know how it plays out from there.

Just thought I'd phone a couple of the supermarkets in my area to see if they're selling early. Alas they are not, but I did find out that Asda will be selling it for £29.73 tomorrow. Could be an easier option to grab the game for some, and is probably cheaper than usual high street prices, I'm looking at you "Game."

Hopefully this will have more simultanious multiplayer games, the only problem I had with the first was most of the mini games had to played round robin style. Oh and 4 player shooting and dance off's would be great too.
