  1. Theres no confirmation of a VGA lead for the Wii at present. I'd reccomend getting the component lead and some form of component switch. There's a component switch by js technology that's about £50 which I've only heard good things about. And one sold by lik-sang for £15 that I've heard mixed reviews, of loss of quality and simply faulty. The js technology one has the advantage of being able to switch automatically, whereas the lik-sang one is a manual switch. I use a manual scart switch for my gc at present, because most times I want to play the GC I have to get up at switch it on anyway or change game. An automatic switch would probably be better for the Wii as the on/off button is on the remote and with the Virtual Console and Channels your less likely to be getting up to change games anyway.
  2. RGB Can't even do 480p, RGB can only go up to 480i. Coax<Composite<S-Video<RGB<Component/VGA<DVI/HDMI Also note that if the component on the PAL Wii software will not output progressive scan(480p) there wont be a hell of a lot of difference between RGB and component. EDIT: RGB can actual go up to 576i (not sure on the exact number) which is PAL resolution, 480i is NTSC.
  3. Well according to a quote I read that even if your Wii console gets hit by a meteor you will still be able to re-download your old VC games onto your new Wii.
  4. Eurogamer has reported that Component cables will be availible "through the normal retail channels" I think amazon have them online to order for under £20
  5. I flew out from Stansted the day before all of that kicked off, saw it on the news on Greece. Was well freaked out on the way back, they didnt check my gf's bottle of coke at the hand luggage area. So if they didnt check that who knows what else they didnt check. Last minute easyjet flights can cost a hell of a lot (BA was cheaper for our flight to Athens, not including train fare to gatwick though) and that was a month in advance. So I can see where Wiiagama is comming from, still no excuse for all caps and dodgy spelling. Unless of course he's Dyslexic and all caps helps then i could understand.
  6. Yay, before launch too Parking will cost megabucks though.
  7. Monkey bowling will be well hard with the classic controller.
  8. Probably because it used to make half as much as the other two stores. Unfortunatly most people I knew in managment at Game have left now, but I'm sure the info given today will get online soon.
  9. Ah near the restaurant? Went looking for it months ago but didnt think to look there.
  10. I think Game will probably get a larger quantity than other stores but 60% is too much. Game afterall are the biggest chain that specialise in selling only games. Although I think Gamestation are/will be giving them a run for there money nowadays. Oh and there's only 1 Game store in Luton now, the one that used to be EB is now a Costa Coffee. And the one in Debenhams is gone.
  11. Not that I agree with the dude in the OP but, if they dont make enough profit to re-coop the money spent over the last 3 years designing and developing the wii. Then even though they're making profit they still may end up, down on the Wii project which may make them re-consider another home console. But to be honest I don't see that happening, or at least I hope that doesnt happen.
  12. yes but up n down are 1 Axis, not two. So are Sony saying there controller works 6 Dimensionally?
  13. We still don't know if PAL games will support progressive scan. If not I can see a lot of people importing consoles from the US.
