PS4 is the best selling console, but Switch was the best selling hardware? Is the Switch not considered a console? Edit: looked it up, apparently this means the red and blue switch was the best selling sku across all consoles, but if you add together all the PS4 variants, they sold more than the Switch variants.

It's abundantly obvious that it has no affiliation with the MCU, otherwise it would be riding heavily on them coattails as best it could. The fact that they're being so coy about it makes me think they're hoping to trick people into seeing it, despite not being able to secure any sort of crossover at all.

I thought that once i'd watched it, it would be safe to go and read some of the write-ups about it, but I'm really worried about reading any of the fan theories in case one of the turns out to be true; kind of a spoiler by trial and error. Don't really see how it took 2 weeks for any kind of response to show up - I wonder if it gets explained.

Surely it would be a nightmare to have other controllable characters in the same game. Sure, have interlinking stories and locations, but can you imagine how hard developing the physics system to have Spidey swing about would be, and then you try and put in a flying iron man, or a jumping hulk, whose physics systems will have been developed by a different studio from the ground up? I don't see how it would work.

I'm assuming that game development works in the same way as the development of any product - the early reveals aren't aimed at the customer, they're aimed at investors. You show an early build at E3, and everyone gets excited. Investors see all this excitement, and agree to drop money on the game studio, who can now afford to continue developing the rest of the game. It's just business.
