I like to view Electroplankton as an experience. A piece of art, even! Still wouldn't have made my top 5 though. -
Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin?

So a new Battle Royale game is out on the Switch, from the makers of Paladins. Hi-Rez does what they do best, namely copying a popular (type of) game, while adding some original aspects to it. It's free-to-play, but if you've played any of their other games you know they go quite hard with the Season Pass and Crates system. For me it's not a big issue, as all is cosmetic and if you play regularly you can unlock quite some stuff anyway. What's more important is that it is a very good version of a Battle Royale game. It is less jerky than Fortnite, and there is no building aspect. In fact, the basics are quite simple. You can carry 2 weapons, 2 abilities (like a dodge roll, a long jump, healing area, grenades) which are tied to a cooldown. You can collect healing and armour potions, and you can break weapons you don't need down into shards which can be used at one of the forges on the map to craft new items/weapons. The map is actually quite interesting and varied, something I found lacking in the time I gave Fortnite a go. You can hop on a mount anytime to cover some grounds fast. The dying mechanic is also quite funny. Gettting killed means you turn into a chicken, and you have about 20 seconds before you respawn as human. Being killed off while being a chicken means end of the game. But you have a reasonable chance to recover if you find some shelter to hide behind. There are 4 classes to choose from, all with some perks towards certain weapons and a different starting ability. All in all it plays well. The only real downside are the loading times. If you can play a nice long match it is not too bad, but getting knocked out fast means it feels relatively long to get back in the game. So, who is up for some squad based Battle Royale action?

Hmm, if they are looking for an art director, I think the game is still a looooong way away:

Dr. Mario World is releasing on July 10 on both iOD and Android. Free to play but with microtransactions. -
Some good points @Kavand I agree with them all. I would like to add: - Environment damage needs to be more effective. Especially with higher level enemies there is no use in throwing rocks or crates on them as damage is minimal. It should deal a fixed percentage of damage no matter the level of the enemy. - I would like to see the return of some traditional items, especially the hookshot. Or make it possible to draw yourself to magnetic objects as an alternative. - If it is open world again, give us a hero path option from the start instead of as paid DLC! It's damn useful but shouldn't be a paid function.

I also wouldn't mind a change of day. Thursdays I'm usually not available, but Monday or Wednesday would be excellent. Would be even more excellent if we can start early (8PM like with Mario Kart). I'm in CEST time so that's an hour later, and I'm old and go to bed around 10/10:30 -
Sorry @martinist, but it's just so satisfying to hit someone over water Not my proudest moment:

Same here, thanks for the games! Had to leave a bit earlier for some Rocket League but really enjoyed the games. The difference in chaos between 3 or 4 players is insane though. -

I jumped into the Ghostbusters mode pretty blind so it took me a couple of games to know how it worked, but it is pretty fun indeed! And as I've not played it for a while I kept pressing the wrong button for acceleration, thanks Mario Kart.

So, Smash tonight after Mario Kart? -
I am free tonight so it means I can fill one of the empty spots! I finished the BotW DLC yesterday, plus that final announcement in the Direct means I've made my character choice. IN!

So they can be put in Pokémon GO. I also wouldn't mind if a Pokémon main game would only hold a limited number of 'Mon if that would come to the benefit of the story, the overworld and general look of the game. As far as I'm concerned make 2 games: a story-driven RPG with a selection of Pokémon that introduces the new generation, and a stand alone Stadium game for competitive battling including all Pokémon and full Home integration, but lacking a big overworld/RPG element.

That look really reminds me of the Mario Vs Donkey Kong March of the Minis game. All he needs is a wind up key jammed in the back.

What a ride. 40 minutes and the only dull moment was the Pokémon bit. For the rest it was pedal to the metal. With actual gameplay. And almost no brownish realistic games. Happy camper!

Less than half an hour! Are your bodies ready? Come on Nintendo, save this E3 for us!

Just a heads-up: Enter The Gungeon will be free on the Epic Store from June 13 to June 20.

Plus a third party reel with FIFA 2020, whatever game Ubisoft is bringing, Sonic and Mario at the Olympics (is that Sega or Nintendo?) and more.

It still baffles me that The Pokémon Company/Nintendo who are make a ton of profit, and considering Pokémon is one of the biggest franchises in the world, don't invest more in Game Freak and let them hire some extra staff to finally get a proper running game out. Dynamax is not really my cup of tea. I wished they would have continued on the Mega Evolutions path, that was a cool new addition. This is indeed like Z-Moves, and doesn't feel like it adds something of interest. Other than that the game looks fine, could have looked better but you know you cannot expect that from Pokémon. Not hyped though, then again it's been a while since I was hyped for a Pokémon game anyway.
