It is in the XBox Game Pass for PC, and that's currently on trial for €1 for one month. So if you have time to finish it in one month you can do so for almost free. And then finish the 99 other games in the Pass in the remaining time. I haven't subscribed yet but I have the week off next week so maybe I should.

Okay, the game is now 60% off so I finally caved and got it! It's instantly better on the Switch with 2 better analogue sticks and the bigger screen and the HD graphics.It feels good getting back into hunting, and I'm glad that I could still tackle a Najarala without fainting. So some of that muscle memory is still there. This means I'm up for some online hunting as well, if you don't mind carrying me up from HR2 haha. I'll see if I can at least get some basic quests out of the way so we can at least fight some monsters instead of doing item quests!

I gave them all a whirl as well, and here is the verdict for @Dcubed, @Sméagol and @RedShell: As for my own level, a missed chance to not put in a slot machine! Funny thing with the ongoing bullets is that it wasn't like that in the first place. But I needed some extra room for the Koopaling so I extended the Bullet Bill part, forgetting to put in a wall to make it stop scrolling haha. I don't even know exactly how creating rooms works so I should check the tutorials I guess. There are more flaws in my level and I wasn't too happy with it myself, but hey it's something! Thanks for your levels! I'm voting for @Sméagol as well. Very Super Mario Bros 2 and your version of Birdo was very creative.

I only learned yesterday that there was a THPS5! And looks like I didn't miss anything there. I do remember THPS HD coming out, but never got around to playing that. I think the main criticism with HD was that they couldn't get the physics engine to work like in the older games so it played quite differently and not as good as the old games. I'm curious to see if they can fix that for 1+2 Remaster. Anyway, siked now because I have a lot of nostalgia for the series. I've played 2, 4, Underground 1+2 and American Sk8land (the DS one) to bits and I think I've played 3 a little bit as well. The soundtracks still bring back great memories, although the later ones had too much hiphop and other tracks to my liking. But the punkrock and metal tracks, god damn. Trailer looks good, but I need to see more gameplay. They went for the realistic look it seems, which can work out although more cartoony maybe would have been better. I wonder if there will be an option to play as young Tony or old Tony. And I need to see if I can find one of these as that's what I used to play THPS2 with back in the days: Bring the Noise!

Haha well that was not what I was expecting after @Jonnas and my excitement. The Café Crew was a bit more critical about the game it seems .

Nice one @bob, looks pretty clean for a gaming notebook! I'd be up for that. What kind of PC games do you guys usually play in multiplayer? I usually prefer co-op over p2p because I mostly suck, but I'm open to all suggestions.

My last spot has been filled on my island. Alli came over and she said she come over from Radiata (so @Tales's place). Funny thing is I never asked her to come, so I guess islanders can also come from friends islands when not asked? Doesn't this decrease the chance of other villagers coming in that are not on any of your friends islands? Anyway, I'm still having fun with AC but last weekend was the first time I skipped a day playing it. I was playing something else and just couldn't be arsed to interrupt my session to put on AC, even with it being Saturday and KK around. It actually felt quite like a relief, and I think I won't be playing it daily anymore. The things I still really want to do is finish some gardens and decorations, and fill my house the way I like it, but both are quite dependent on the items you can buy or get from the shop. With plenty of bells in the bank I don't feel the need to go after fish/fruit/rocks to hit. So it's strange, with a sandbox outside this time I still feel I'm more quickly done with the game than with the DS/3DS versions.

Glad you're enjoying it @Julius! I have it on Switch and for some reason I play this at a glacial pace. I bought it in March 2019 and I'm currently at chapter 13. I play it for a couple of chapters and then I just leave it for a couple of weeks. And I can't figure out why because it is a great game haha. I hope to finish it soon and when I do I'll post the long version in the Gaming Diary thread. But it's cool to see someone else play this as well.

I'm not sure how it is now with Zephyrus as they are going in the third generation, so you would think they have the overheating under control. But true, gaming notebooks get expensive very fast! Anything over a 2060 is creeping up to the €2000. Like @Happenstance said, you can buy quite a nifty PC for that money! You can also wait a bit longer, buy a cheap laptop and a Google Stadia subscription.

I actually dont mind the look of the ASUS ROG series, but apparently they have an overheating problem. I think it depends on the series. Basically now they have the Zephyrus (thin and light and I think these may have some overheating problems), Strix (which are a bit more bulky but have much better cooling) and TUF Gaming (which are mostly plastic budget ones, but cooling is okay and they're the cheapest). I was actually product manager for Asus notebooks up until two years ago haha. Back then I didn't receive many overheating complaints, but I don't know how it is now.

This. There are quite a bunch of more sleek gaming laptops out there that don't look like a carnival. Or you could look into ones with a GTX1650 graphic cards for basic gaming, and you will probably find laptops targeted at content creators which also don't have a gamey look.

We can always host a digital meetup for the time being, using Houseparty or whatever. Could be fun, slap together a gaming quiz or something?

Yep, received a mail about the Kickstarter as well. That's estimated to ship late June (which means there's a chance they will be arriving after the retail release is in the stores). You do get a Steam key as compensation though for the Kickstarter delay.
