To be honest what I really want is a nice lounge la-z boy type recliner that can also be used as a desk chair but I've not had much luck finding one so far
-
Yeah a Herman Miller would be my first choice but there's no way I'm spending that kind of money on a chair.

We have the bog standard office chairs you see everywhere at work. One person seems to have an ergo chair but I have no idea how she swung that. My gaming chair isn’t the worst thing in the world but it definitely doesn’t breathe in the summer and typically I bought it right before the pandemic so had to start appearing on a load of video calls sitting in it and feeling less than professional 😆

What office chairs are you lot using these days? About 2 years ago I switched to a gaming chair and really regret it now. I'm looking into a mesh ergo chair currently but there's a lot of different ones to dig through. Currently leaning towards this Sihoo from Amazon:

I definitely miss being able to work from home. Being back in the office just means that I’ll get grabbed and asked for IT support when the majority of stuff I get asked for help with isn’t my job.

PC Building Simulator is currently free on the Epic Games Store. Fun little game if you like to mess around with PCs.

Just finished installing Windows 11 now it’s been fully released. Installation went nice and smoothly. Haven’t noticed any issues so far.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition (14th May 2021)
Happenstance replied to Julius's topic in Other Consoles
I’m already tempted to buy it again on pc just so I can play it on the Steam Deck 😆 -
Been a few years since I last played them. Probably be some good ones to play on the Steam Deck when I get it.

I'm still looking for a new job but not having a lot of luck at the moment. Applied for a few things but unfortunately none have moved onto an interview. I think a lot of my issue is that I'm trying to shift career paths into something more creative but also can't afford to drop my salary all that much so the entry level jobs just don't pay enough. Fun. I actually quite like the idea of freelancing but have no idea what I would do. On the plus side the other IT guy who works here did get a job offer the other week but ended up turning it down so I won't be stuck here on my own like I originally thought. It's basically turned into a race between the two of us to see who can leave first. I'm still hoping it will happen at the same time so we can leave everyone in the lurch.

Yeah I got a couple of Facebook messenger messages this morning all at once. -

Amazing how blown out of proportion it all was with all the breaking news reports etc. I use Facebook for messenger mostly along with a few groups to keep up to date on some news or buy my precious, precious comics. To be honest if it wasn’t for those few things that still make it helpful I would have deleted it years ago. -
Got my customary after payday orders in. In both my main collections (X-Men and Spider-Man) I'm starting to hit the point where its mostly out of print stuff I need now so I should probably end up spending less which will be nice! Only reason there was so many of this load of books was because I got deals on ebay for some of them. Also without @Hero-of-Time this thread is just back to me talking to myself

Did you end up getting the Sony E10?

The current Star Trek litverse is coming to an end with three final books that are going to tie up that universe and make way for the new continuity created by Discovery, Picard etc. I've really enjoyed this universe they created as the books and stories tied in together. It really was like the shows were getting extra seasons. I've just bought the first book in this final trilogy. Should probably wait until I get home to start reading it but it's quiet at work at the moment and I have the Kindle app on my PC so I'm sure I can get a few chapters in without anyone noticing

Lost all chance of hiding out this week at work as the main IT guy has covid so I'm doing a lot of covering. So many complaints that things aren't working already!

The intro to live action Cowboy Bebop looks nuts

Went to see the Final Fantasy VII Remake Concert with @Goafer at the Royal Albert Hall this Sunday then hung out in London for an extra 2 days. Really nice to just get away from work and feel a bit normal again. The concert was amazing as well. First time I've had the chance to go to one of the Final Fantasy ones.
