I think if they do implement anything to do with VR then having it comparable to the mobile varients would be the way to go. It wouldnt be able to get the same kind of experiences as say the Vive with its roomscale and wands but as long as people knew that going in then it could still be a good and hopefully cheap experience.

Plus I would say the way to stop piracy is to provide a better alternative, not block anyone who ever even tried something like that. I used to pirate PC games all the time when I was younger until Steam and other digital gaming options came along then I was perfectly happy to pay.

I would say Infinite is different enough that you could play it now without risking feeling fatigued with the series

I just got done trying out the free section. It just felt a bit bland really. I'm sure the later levels get more interesting but these opening ones sure didn't inspire me to pay actual money for the rest.

Can you imagine if they didnt bother to patent it until just before launch to avoid leaks and then someone patented it in the mean time?

I dont mind watching the 1am or 2am conferences but I dont think I can bring myself to watch a 4am one if im working that day. I'll probably watch it that night when I get back from work and just try to avoid the Internet.

I just opened the Samurai Flamenco boxset that AllTheAnime sent me today and it had lists off staff picks of both blu ray and dvds. I assume this is what we are getting (I'll keep it in spoiler tags in case you wanted the surprise:

Bought the collector's edition bundle in today's AllTheAnime Christmas sale. The staff pick 5 collector's editions to send out in the package but you don't know which until it arrives. Looking forward to seeing what I get.

The only leak I've heard of with this was the internal Starbucks email talking about the promotion which I guess mentioned the new Pokemon.

I think we'll get a better view of how popular it could be after the January reveal. At the moment you ask most of the general public what the Nintendo Switch was they would of course have no idea. It is nice though to see the gaming community able to get excited for a Nintendo console again. The games may not be drawing me in personally but I still like the look of the device (plus the GC games could be enough of a draw for me to get one at launch).

FFXIV is a pretty well thought of game. It still does surprisingly well for an MMO not named World of Warcraft these days. I really enjoyed my time with it.
