Speech impediment?

I was so put off by the game last night that I just got to the first save point and gave up. I'll give it another proper try tonight after work. Reading some more posts on Era a lot of people didn't like the same things as me but said that the first day in the game is just a really bad area for that stuff and it'll get better. Not really sure how much will change given my complaints shouldnt really be confined to a single area but I'm willing to give it another chance. I think what really worried me straight away was that if this had even just been on par with the Dreamcast games then I would have had no issues but because certain things seemed worse it really stuck out.

I'm really looking forward to hearing what you guys think because I've barely started it and I'm already finding it just a bad game. The constant cutting to black screen for tiny loads is infuriating, especially when it's for stuff that was also in the original games and had no loads. Theres also some stamina/eating mechanic that I can already tell will piss me off. God I hope it gets better because if not then I'd rather they just never made Shenmue 3.

Ok I don't want to seem negative straight away but in some ways this seems worse than the Dreamcast games... Theres a weird fade to black between talking scenes which almost had me worried I was leaning on a button and skipping dialogue. It's so abrupt and unnecessary. Ryo's walk and run animations are weird. On the plus side they've kept his odd way of talking which I appreciate.

Bloody update file for Shenmue 3 fucked up so I have to download it again...

I actually quite like the look of that slipcase. Simple and not garish, kind of what I want a slipcase to be.

Looks like my copy is out for delivery at the moment. Despite my "meh-ness" I expect I'll get started on it tonight.

I'm gonna wait and see if they manage to smooth out the frame rate and fix the glitches with later patches before I decide if i want it. At the moment it doesn't seem like a game i want to buy at full price.

I hate this stream. Everyone is just so fake over excited. That and I feel like I've already been told at least 100 times that they're in London.

One thing I'm looking forward to is the eventual change of Womens Champion and seeing how that ridiculously small belt will look on anyone other than Riho 😆 (Speaking of the Womens division I just want it known that I am already in love with Hikaru Shida)

I only saw the end of a conversation on another forum so I don't know the details but is there some item that you have to get from a character that should really just be an audio accessibility option for people with hearing issues?

Have you been watching much AEW so far? I'm really enjoying what I've been seeing and it's nice to be able to enjoy wrestling again on a weekly basis. I think they could probably use a couple more big names for recognition but it's been a really positive start.

I'm not too surprised. From what I've heard over the years he's just a bit of an arrogant creep so I can see him going back on all the stuff he said, especially after proving to be a massive flop in UFC. I think his reaction to links to AEW over the past year was telling as well, it was oddly dismissive of them in a way that felt like he was trying to keep WWE onside for his eventual return.

Give me the next Pokemon game set in a post apocalyptic Fallout style world where only certain Pokemon survived and I might actually be interested in the series again.

I think I might start a new collection of bluetooth retro controllers to use with emulators/retro systems. Would be nice to be able to use the proper controllers instead of mostly Xbox pads. I've already got Snes and Megadrive pads so that's ok. Probably Saturn next. I did look at the Retrobit N64 ones but they're the wrong shape.

Time for a tablet upgrade as my iPad is starting to shows its age. Decided to switch over to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. I was very tempted by the iPad Pro but it was mainly for the drawing apps and while I am going to hopefully do a lot of drawing on this, it's not gonna be for anything that needs more professional software. I just want to use it to practise more than anything. Then things like being able to run emulators was another big draw as with its specs it should be able to run some of the more taxing games.
