Day 8 - Best Musical Moment Ive gotta give this to the end of the Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission. I love this song and it just makes the entire thing feel so epic.

I’m so glad they fixed the Xbox One pad. The first one they came out with had slightly different L & R bumpers to what we have now and they didn’t work nearly as well.

Day 7 - Favourite Ranged Combat As with @Cube I was also very tempted to go with the bow and arrow from Tomb Raider but to mix it up a bit I went with the guns from Doom. The speed at which you do everything in that game works so well with the weapons and makes everything ridiculously fun. Might be time to reinstall it later.

Probably yeah. I've now got the cables for the MegaSG/SuperNT permanently plugged into a screen so they can be displayed but easily plugged straight back in for gaming.

The projector screen is right above the unit (you can just see the black bar and start of the white screen in the photo) so nothing can go above it unfortunately.

Ok then that’s the new lights fitted for the Mega Drive games. SNES carts are in the remaining boxes bottom right. I’m pretty happy how it all looks, lights aren’t too overpowering but just give a nice highlight.

Day 6 - Most Relaxing Navigation I think I’ll go with the swinging from Spider-Man 2. The PS4’s version is better but I spent so much time just swinging around New York for hours at a time doing nothing much other than enjoying the motion.

Yeah they aren't going anywhere yet but if I did decide to then I'll let you know. I've just ordered some shelf lights for their new location so I'll post a photo when its all set up tomorrow. Shame the SNES carts can't get the same kind of display but I literally only own one SNES game box.

....I love my retro collection but god does it take up so much room! It's so tempting to just throw away all the Mega Drive game boxes and keep the carts in one big box like the SNES ones are now.

Decided to rearrange my retro collection a bit, moved my Mega Drive and it looks like some bit of plastic on the bottom has melted and left some nice plastic mess everywhere. Speaking of the Mega Drive and SNES collections, I think I might whittle them down a bit. Nothing major, just get rid of the few games that I never really wanted but came in ebay bundles so I've got space for the more important stuff.

Day 5 - 3D Platformer Right.....I know this isn’t necessarily even a good game, let alone a good 3D platformer but anyone who I chat with in the retro thread knows I have some weird obsession with Croc Legend of the Gobbos. For some reason that game just stuck with me over the years, much more than all the shitty Mario games you’ll all be posting today 😝

Starting a bit late but I'll try to catch up: Day 4 - Favourite Villain/Antagonist I actually thought I would have an obvious one here but apparently I don't care about villains as much as I thought I did. I think I'll give this one to the Joker from the Arkham series for what an amazing job Mark Hamill did with him as usual. And I guess a special mention for this fucker:

Looks like my furlough has been extended to the end of August but with the likelihood I'll be brought back a couple of weeks before that to to start getting things ready for the start of next term. Was hoping to be brought back at the start of August as I'm gonna have a lot of work to do but not much I can do.

How is FunimationNow's streaming these days? It's been a few years since I tried it out with the free trial but I never fully subscribed because there was too much buffering regardless of the quality of the connection and I seemed to hear the same complaint from other people. Has it gotten better?

Watched the Child’s Play remake with @Goafer and was not particularly impressed. It seemed to start off ok and I was thinking I could like it as it’s own thing, distancing it from the main series but it just didn’t seem to know what it wanted to be with weird humour moments and then a load of character choices/reactions that didn’t make sense. I also think it lost a lot by making it AI gone wrong rather than a possessed doll. It’s a lot more creepy when it’s something pretending to be a doll compared to something always walking and talking.

Haven't seen @Hero-of-Time on for a while. Anyone know if he's ok?

Just got back from the ride. God my legs are knackered now 😆 Getting there was simple enough so I’m happy that I’d be able to go to work and back with a nice 8 hour stretch to rest in between. It was doing this with just a 15 minute break before heading home and only having a weeks riding under my belt to begin with that did me in!

Gonna attempt my commute route in a minute, see how I do. Very gusty as well today so that should add an extra level of fun!

Bought Disco Elysium but I’m not particularly liking the writing style so far. Tempted to get a refund before I play too much and lock myself out.

I’m probably going to pickup Tabletop Simulator during this sale. Just trying to find a list of any dlc that’s also worth getting. I would also like to get Disco Elysium but I’m still waiting for a bigger discount on it.

Sad that Maddog isn’t around to see this.
