I got a shotgun. Murrica! Also a brown paper bag with "Do not eat!" Written on it. So obviously.... It was actually a couple of very nice smelling candles. Also a couple sarcastic shirts, pair of Star Wars socks and a Marty Moose shot glass. Got my sisters kids a handful of stuff. Generic Lego set, two copies of Animal Crossing, a 1300 piece Lego Millennium Falcon set.

You got your what back?

I throughly enjoyed the game and have read some of the various nitpicking and complaints about it. (Including the guy who refused to play because of the baptism scene in the beginning). To me none of it really impacts my enjoyment. So what if there are plot holes. Given the dimension hopping shit, I can suspend a bit of disbelief.

The OA was interesting at best. It was a way for me to spend my lazy Sunday essentially. Overall I'd say I enjoyed it, though I found the start to be painful to stick with. OAs character was just poor to me. It all slightly improved and they attempted to add development to others but I have a feeling their budget was pulled out from them. The weird lengths of the episodes is what makes me think that. I think the show was strongest though during the storytelling. They had a much tighter environment to work within. The ending had ups and downs but I think was sufficient. The specific point where it all goes pop felt just fine to me. Yeah there is nothing that hints to it and it comes from left field, but sadly that sort of real situation does come as a surprise to most. I do agree there was little in the way of answers though. Purely set up for more seasons, and likely was always planned that way.

I've got to like 37. Just that last stretch I either flub the jumping or completely miss the targets. Usually both.

I'd like to join but I'm 6 hours behind forum time so when I get off work and home it's midnight already essentially. And then showering and dinner, weekdays just aren't for me.

Number 1 (Oddly I played twice last gen) never fully clicked as it felt like a rehash of System Shock 2 right down to the twist. But I was also a decade younger so certainly more a dumb teen. Hence why I didn't play 2. I felt a direct sequel was pointless. Still do. Infinite though I found to be brilliant. There is a bit of a dissonance between gameplay and story, but that didn't bother me like others. I knew I was buying a FPS where I kill people. I think you'll quite enjoy it FLink. Or at least hope you will. Maybe take a short break between though because it is most definitely more bioshock and no need to burn out on the series?

I'm sold just on the snake wearing pants.

Jim Sterling enjoyed it but also said the controls are firmly rooted in 2006, which greatly detracted from his enjoyment. To paraphrase, it's as if all the advancements in controls and physics and player feedback in the last 10 years never happened.

Uhhhh. Was fishing shortly after the first blockade and just hooked a fish and the game threw me into a loading screen..... no progress on the bar yet so I don't know.

Alternative theory, his little lie from the first game has grown terribly out of control. Also hating the "Part II" title. Dunno why it just don't do it for me.

You say new stand alone game, and for some reason my mind went to new IP rather than just another Uncharted.
-
There are.....none of them offer that. One does switch Attack to R2 and dodge to L2.

I'm having an inordinate amount of trouble with combat controls. Sprint being bound with attack is silly (though given the nature of dodging and phasing makes some sense) attack being on O is just bizarre. I often find myself warp striking in and then mashing O to try and dodge roll away and instead winding up for a slow greatsword hit. I think my problem is I'm trying to play it more like an actual action game, which typically use Square as the main attack button.

More than likely yes, people have done low level runs of the other games including no spheregrid single character runs of FFX.
-
Apparently once you "git gud" it's possible to bunny hop off of the ground and not lose any speed.... hence the the fucking people doing this course in sub20 second runs.
-
Well after watching the uncanny valley, finally into the game. Sort of. Just in the tutorial going for HDR/High it immediately felt sluggish and chunky(maybe all the titanfall2...). The running animation seems so choppy. So I dropped to HDR/Lite which feels decent. And looks good still. I can see only a small difference in resolution. (Little less crisp). HDR I'm not noticing a big difference (thank you bland tutorial room.)

38.50.....fucking bullshit. Maybe tomorrow. 36.70 now. Urgh. And apparently someone has done em this run in 20 seconds. I didn't watch the video but saw a screencap. His speed was maxed at 50kph. I've never seen my speed go above 42.....

I just got home and am planning to watch Kingsglaive first, so I haven't had a chance to fiddle with settings at all yet.

Yeah the UI and OS itself is absolute trash and runs rather poorly. It's just plain sad since at one point they use to understand user experience. Then they did Windows 8 followed be the Xbox One. Quantum Break I only played a little of but it's definitely a solid experience.

Installing/downloading patch. But the hockey game is on so I'm not going to play tonight.

Now that it's been patched to have acceptable load times ReCore is a pretty fantastic game. Sadly I just don't turn my One on enough (still haven't beat Halo 5)

Damn US retailers and their whole not breaking street date thing. I have to wait for Tuesday before I'll get my copy. It isn't even shipped yet.
