110% deserved. Mario Odyssey is an absolute joy to play. I can't play it in handheld mode though because I want to be all comfy and have my big-ass TV to see it in all its glory. My only negative of the game is that you can't pose Mario in any way for photo mode. Which is a shame because there are so many awesome things to take pictures of, but Mario's face is most just dead...starring off into the distance...he's been doing this shit for over 20 years...this is it...this is as good as it gets....Where was I? Ah yes, I want to select stupid faces for Mario to make. Like in the latest Uncharted photo mode. The omission is doubly weird since you can pose Link in Zelda.

I don't remember the last EA game I bought on PS4 so I can't say it effects me massively. Although I am sad to say I find their Star wars games...lacking. Don't you buy FIFA every year?

Many many moons ago I ditched the Wii for an Xbox 360. Oh how the tables have turned, I didn't hesitate for a moment buying a Switch this weekend even with the XboneX out so soon. Sure, I bought a PS4 Pro, but I did that because I was already invested in the system – with how many hours I put in one the PS4, it had earned an upgrade. (And if the Switch ever receives an upgrade – and I can actually transfer all my stuff across – I'd be inclined to upgrade that too). The Xbox One X isn't even on my radar.

Going against the general vibe, I thought Thor was not a good film. Completely under-baked villain...which is a shame because Hela had – on paper – a great back story, and good motivation...except she has no one to talk to because her parents are both dead, and her two brothers are off somewhere else for most the film... so it's just her and Judge Dredd... who is unlikeable from the start for his incompetence and goes out on some weird...heroic act that was done for no other benefit of the audience. Because no one else is there to morn his death (not to mention all of Thor's friends who get killed at the start, apparently Thor isn't bothered about their deaths). Also, how POORLY characterised is Loki in this? He's shown to be super astute, a true trickster a manipulator, and yet he leaves a moronic Judge Dredd as his doorman and is acting like an utter goof when Thor turns up. What was his end game? Am I meant to believe he managed to replace Odin and take the thrown of Asgard for the sole purpose of acting like an idiot? The Collector was...underwhelming, unintimidating, and under developed. The music...was almost great at points, but mostly unremarkable. Some of the visuals were absolutely superb, like the Valkyrie memory bit but those bits were all too short. I didn't think it was an especially bad film (until I start thinking harder about it), but I'll say probably the most damning thing I can say about any film.... It was boring.

I'm hoping it's grounded. Nothing in the trailer or what SP have said have indicated anything magic-y.

All I need to know is that Sucker Punch are making it. I am SO excited to see what they do. What a wonderful surprise.

I'm brimming with excitement. Looks rad. Perfect choice of song, great looking visuals, everyone smiles at one point in the trailer, didn't ruin the bad guy, didn't ruin Superman, but teased him perfectly. I love Ezra Miller. He is a genuine joy to watch in interviews. It's the Justice League, fuck yeah.

I caught Suicune on my second raid. I'm pleased. Got to hatch as many eggs as humanly possible by 9pm tonight, gone from about 40,000 Stardust to 618,000. Banging.

I...thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some really artful shots. As far as pilots go, I thought it was excellent... but then I'm not especially fond of a lot of pilots. And I thought the ending was intriguing... I need to watch more, so job done. It actually reminded me a lot of Destiny, from the opening into with the drawings, to the space suits and style of the force fields, to the neo-gothic Klingons, even to the way the ship travelled at warp. But there was actual story here. I liked the Klingons. I've never been a fan but their opposition to 'We come in peace' was succinct. It's a phrase that itself is at the root of another kind of violence. I could understand why war was the only choice for them. And Michael's comment about race and culture was interesting. Which reminds me, it moved at quite a pace. Felt like I was watching one of the better films. It incorporated a lot of the modern TV conventions but kept the heart of Star Trek. It felt fresh. I look forward to more.

Another two Entei raids. Threw 7 or 8 curling Excellent Balls across the both of them and the rest were Great (had a couple misses). Still no dice. This crap RNG luck is endlessly frustrating. I'm 13 for 2 on Entei now.

I'm 11 for 2 on Entei. He's a real shit. And these loot drops are Grade A balls.

I've not had any issue joining public raids tbh. But I'm in London which seems to have plenty of people raiding near central.

The capture rate on Entei is a fucking joke (emphasis on the 'fucking'). The first day I did six raids. I took my time. Was throwing pretty consistently. Finally on the last one, on a Curling ball that was neither 'Nice', 'Great' or 'Excellent' I managed to catch one with 15/15/15. And by that point my 12 Golden Razz Berries had become none, so he was caught on a budget Razz Berry. Yes, it was a perfect Entei. And to be honest, thank god I did because it's really let me experience a no-pressure involvement when I take part in them from now on. I did one yesterday, again no dice. But I'm now back from my 8th Entei raid. This time I used the set-circle trick. And it really worked. I got 14 balls to throw. Missed my first one (lol – still getting used to the distance and setting the circle). But every other throw was a Curling Great ball. Except one which was 'Excellent' and another which just rolled out of my had after some lag while spinning (anyone else experience this? Occasionally I get a touch of lag while casting my ball and it falls short, which is also annoying but this time it happened while I was spinning). Every ball was Razz Berried – because I'm out of Golden Razz Berries and lo and behold I received none again. It's kind of shitty. And it's compounded by the reworked – and fucking trite loot drops. In the past 8 raids I've only received 6 Golden Razz Berries, from one of the raids. I know the base rate is the same as Lugia but Lugia had a Psychic and Flying badge capture rate bonus to go with him (which are easy to get Gold badges in because of Natu pokemon everywhere). Entei is just fire and...well, I hardly ever see fire Pokemon to catch. So that's annoying, too.

Let's be honest, this is being made by Square. A few month after it's out it'll be available on everything, including mobile phones.

So, I've come far. I've doubled up on all my Legendary birds. In terms of IVs, it's a mixed bag; I have a Moltres with an IV of 91. Ace. Although it's move set is a bit poop (I can fix that eventually). An Articuno with an IV of 96, with a great move set. And then I have a couple IV 84 Zapdos, a third at 82. And some poop Lugias, one with a 77 IV and a poop moves set and another with an IV of 80 and a good move set. So I'm going to say I'm done with Articuno raids and I'm going to Prioritise Zapdos and Lugia.

Finaly caught a Lugia!! Got Zapdos last week and Moltres the week before. Just need to find Articuno. None of the Legendary Birds I got had especially good IVs, though Moltrese and Zapdos has the best movesets, but I'm still pretty pleased.

Took down a Lugia but didn't manage to get him even with a few Nice Curve Balls and a Gold Razz Berry. But the XP is dope so it's not all bad. Plus, meeting Raiders was a lot of fun.

I'd love to have a go at Lugia but I don't think – even if I did find a group – I'm especially well equipped to help take it down. My top 10 Pokemon are... Dragonite – CP2699 (Dragon Tail and Hurricane) Rhydon – CP2512 Blissey – CP2511 Vaporeon – CP 2375 Arcanine – CP2116 Moltres – CP1904 (Fire Spin and Overheat, awwww yisss!!) I CAUGHT A MOLTRES!!! My third ever Raid! What a rush. I used a Nana Berry because I read that the effects last longer than the initial throw, so thought I'd give it a go. Regretted the idea almost instantly when I realised I only had 7 balls. Missed with my first ball, then I did a curve ball, landed a 'NICE!' hit and... ...Shake... ...Shake... ...Shake... ...Nothing... MOLTRES GET!!! Over the moon. Never thought I'd even down one of these Legendaries, let along catch one. And I'm still a lowly lvl26.

By all accounts, Just Cause 3 still runs like a piece of shit, so this will be interesting. I've always wanted to play it so it suits me for a Plus game.
