  1. Ha, I would like some way of winning. Occasionally someones does get through the wall..
  2. That was fun! Great to see those levels in action! That Japanese one looked cool up close! That tombola.. thing.. I only don't get that lava circle thing. How do you score there? Anyway, I'll try to finish that level I started on earlier, it's a bit involved. And make more.
  3. Why not watch the last 2 films you're missing first? That's just ridiculous. Endgame expexts you to be familiar with all of the characters. Captain Marvel doesn't get much of an introduction (it continues from where Captain Marvel's post credit scene left off pretty much), and there's a cool familiar face returning from Dr. Strange. Which will mean nothing to you if you haven't seen it. So in my opinion you are not ready for Endgame.
  4. Ah, I do.. But I'm working on something right now. I'll save some time for tomorrow evening. I would like to see hose stages in action!
  5. Physical copies are back up for sale. They're doing a 2nd run. https://www.brokestudio.fr/en/shop/micro-mages-2/
  6. While I have to wait for the cartridge, they gave out links to roms and steam codes to all backers yesterday. While I want the full experience on NES, I did want to get a taste of the game, so I connected my broken Xbox controller, and played the first 2 worlds on Steam. Good thing that as a NES game it doesn't need triggers. Anyway! I am pleased to say the game is as fun as it looks. It's amazing for a NES game! There's so much charm in those tiny sprites. They only used 8 by 8 pixel sprites for the playable mages (and most enemies) as a way to optimize the game (see the making of video above), but they're so damn well animated, it doesn't matter. Press down and they do a dance that does absolutely nothing for gameplay. The game totally doesn't look like something that has the same size limitation as SMB 1. The movement and combat are smooth and controls are tight. In that way, it actually feels like a modern game. You can wall jump, which is as smooth as modern indie games like Meatboy, and unlike Ninja Gaiden for example. You can shoot in all directions. Love the music as well. The only thing that makes the size limitation obvious is the fact there are only 4 worlds, although the hard mode apparently is different enough from normal mode that they're considered addtional worlds, but I do not know this from experience. Apparently they did more than simply make enemies tougher, they remixed the layouts of levels a bit, and enemies have other behaviours as well. Also I don't think there is a lot of music, though I love the music that's there. Despite the challenge of creating a game using only 40KB, the game looks, sounds, and feels like it could have been a major commercial retail release back in the day. It's that good. Anyway, I quit after the second boss, and I'll await my new NES copy. I'll also really try to get some oldschool multiplayer party going, because I really want to experience the 4 player mode! I'll go buy a Four Score somewhere! At the moment they ended the Indiegogo campaign, since they almost sold out on their run of NES copies. It seems they may make more, but at the moment you can only buy a digital version. The game is on Steam and Itch.io, and all versions include a ROM file for use with emulators or flash carts. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1065020/Micro_Mages/ https://morphcatgames.itch.io/micromages
  7. Yeah, I have some interest in Aggelos as well. May get it. Some weird remake of Star Fox 64: And another visual novel coming west (also as a physical release):
  8. Well this looks spectacularly shitty
  9. 200. I've removed a few now, some titles I have already bought in the meantime. I use the wishlist as an overview of titles I find even remotely interesting for one reason or another, and I add more to it than I actually buy. I also like to check it occasionally for game on sale.
  10. So apparently I maxed my wishlist.
  11. Just went to see it for a 2nd time.
  12. Well this can't be happening.
  13. I have ordered this, but it's my second import copy from Japan (and another Capcom import as well, thank you Capcom), but apparently it's going to take a while. Maybe should've imported from Amazon.co.jp. But I am looking forward to this. Looks like it's going to be a nice meaty RPG before all hell breaks loose in Summer with Mario Maker, Fire Emblem, and Astral Chain amongst other things. Once I have received it, I'll post my adventures here. Anyone else getting this? Or already playing? Edit: Oh and you can all thank me later if we do get Devil May Cry 5.
  14. I don't know if this will matter, but this is getting a new TV adaptation. BBC. Some time this year.
  15. Another Warriors game for me to ignore, great. This is not what I wanted. But it's probably going to be a hit anyway.
  16. Just a few more hours! But watching Infinity War again first is going to be such a slog.. I'm going to wear my favourite Iron man t-shirt!
  17. Can we remove the Game of Thrones thread from the new posts section on the side?
  18. If you look carefully, you see he's running on a spinning disc. So he's more like a hamster.
  19. Show some videos! I'll join in some other evening, I'm busy building! Also the CPUs don't know what to do with those custom stages!
  20. Yeah but even Mario Kart?
  21. Child of light beats Skyrim and Mario Kart?
  22. For the first time in a long time, I didn't watch the episode as soon as possible yesterday, so I will have to catch up now. Some episodes this season were hit or miss, a like season 1, but the 2nd half of the season got better and went a very different direction in regards to story, also like season 1. I really liked were things were going so far at the end, with various Star Trek lore coming together, from Pike to Section 31, to that bit of the shorts , and maybe even a bit of TNG / ENT with I have yet to see the final episode, so can't wait. Tip for those who have yet to catch up themselves, and have more episodes to go: watch the 4 shorts. They're on Netflix, behind "trailers and more". Only 2 out of 4 are actually interesting, but 3 out of 4 provide some context to the season, with 2 of them only obvious at the very end. And the 4th doesn't provide context to this season, but is the most entertaining one (the one with Harry Mudd).
  23. K, thanks, found it! Problem was that I couldn't find my own level amongst them initially. Probably need to tweak this one:
  24. I did share it obviously, so the button doesn't work anymore. But I can't find it in my tweets (if it's supposed to make a tweet) or in my images folder.
  25. How do you retrieve your code? I can't find it anymore. I made a simple level. Edit: And yes, stage builder brought me back haha. it was a surprise, as I wasn't online at all yesterday, and when I woke up today it was available. First time in months I started the game again.. I hadn't even seen Piranha plant. Had a quick go with him and Joker in classic mode.
