Was actually one of the titels in my backlog wishlist I was thinking of picking up shortly. IGN gave this a very good review if I recall correctly, so this game probably would've been worth the full price. It's € 30,- in our local stores, not as cheap as £ 10,-, but still pretty cheap.

Is it confirmed it won't get a release at all in Europe / outside Japan? I understand the difficulties, but I hope they can still find a way to make it happen. Of the 2 3D Street Fighters, I'm really looking more forward to this one. Don't think I'll bother importing it though.

It's ridiculous. I haven't watched much TV lately, so I rarely see any Nintendo commercials.. But guess which one I did see recently? No, not Disaster, not de Blob or Wario either, no, Super Mario Galaxy. It is that I believe the game is great, or else I would've inserted a curse word somewhere in it's title.

Received it yesterday (along with Rhythm Tengoku, Tales of Innocence, and Screw Breakers for GBA, better known as Drill Dozer). Yesasia was incredibly fast this time.. A bit too fast I fear. They only took the weekend to send it.. Anyway. Of course I thought ahead of the adapter problem, unfortunately I should've looked more into it, it seems Nintendo devices adapters are picky what power they want. I only got an extension plug, which let me insert it in the powersocket, but it doesn't change the voltage, and now my DSi won't charge.. Strangely enough, the DSi was a bit charged out of the box (not normal?), so I could play with it for a couple of hours. You first have to adjust some settings (just like the DSlite if I recall correctly, things like the date and your nick), and it also asks to take a photograph, to use as a wallpaper. I looked through the settings menu, which is a risky thing to do, as you might find the master reset, undoing all your previous entered settings (I don't understand any Japanese by the way). The language barrier also prevented me from entering the shop and downloading the browser, just like on the Wii, it asks you to accept a license agreement first. I tried all the combinations, but everytime it sent me back to the settings menu.. After watching the Tales of Innocence intro and playing for a bit, the battery died.So now I'm looking for a voltage convertor .

I understand the complaints people have, to be honest I'd also like to see some new furniture styles etc, it looks too much the same. That said, Animal Crossing: Wild world was my first Animal Crossing game, and I love the concept, but unfortunately I've greatly neglected my town.. Mainly because I don't go online that much with my DS. It's easier for me on a console.. So I see this as a great way to get back into the Animal Crossing universe, with the few added new features and bonusses, like the DLC, the city, enhanced customisation, and of course the voice chat. Which make this 1 of only 2 games I'm still looking forward too on Wii untill the end of the year.

Heard the news, and I'm sad to see Tennant go, really loved the guy as the doctor. Eventhough it would be weird & illogical, I'd love it if John Simm through some bizar twist gets to be the new doctor. I think he'd be an excellent one. Allthough I love James Nesbit as well, I don't see him as a possible new doctor. Steve Coogan anybody? :P And about Martha, it's funny, because with her first appearance I thought "Ow, that's a shame. why does that hot babe have to die?", so you can imagine my joy when she was announced as the new assistant! And my disapointment when she left. Freema is hot, she needs her own Arena cover.

If you'd read Dante's post you'd know it most likely does. I'm glad for the SDHC support by the way.
-
I think this is the game I'm most looking forward to at the moment, so it'd better come out here! That's not to say there isn't anything else I'm looking forward to, because there's plenty (allthough unfortunately very few within the next three months), but this one's on the top of the list.

I'm going through with my pre-order, eventhough I'll probably buy a EU version too for the DSware. I chose the standard shipping with Yesasia though, so it'll be at least 2 weeks before it arrives (hasn't shipped yet). I mean, I want it early, but I'm not in such a hurry that I want to risk import duty and taxes (which, for an order of € 300,- will be quite a lot). Anyway, does anyone know audacity-like software which also exports to AAC format? I'm adamant on using my new DSi as a music player . I hope they include the play-yan (micro) interface.. Finally, I hope Keys Factory will have another awsome series of pouches for the DSi! Don't have anything to put it in when it arrives..
-
I have absolutely no trouble with the level of comfort of the micro (then again, I do have small hands (and you know what they say about people with small hands! No wait, forget what I said)). You're right I think, about the Cube, but I bought the Cube very late in it's lifecycle (I think it was 2005.. Had some catching up to do). And the Famicom micro was too damn cool too pass up. And the backlit screen is significantly better than a regular screen, even in a well lit room.. So at that point, I was pretty disappointed about Nintendo's support of the micro, even in Japan they didn't have a Micro / Cube cable I think. In hindsight, I guess I don't know why it bothered me that much, I didn't buy 4 swords in the end, and I have only 2 games myself that use the linkcable as far as I know.
-
I just remembered, to me this game pointed out a mayor flaw in Nintendo's products at that time.. There was no GBA <-> Cube cable for the micro.. So I had to play this on a dark screen of a regular GBA. That was disappointing..
-
I've played this only once unfortunately, but I've always been interested in this, it seemed like great fun (my only experience was too short to really comment on it). But I never got it, in the end I didn't think it was worth it for the very rare instances I got to play it the way it was intended. I hope they'll make a WFC enabled Wiiware sequel though, it would be perfect.
-
Heh, I think I may actually prefer this over SF 4.. They're both 3D, and allthough I'll always prefer 2D, I do have to admit they both look good in motion.. But I haven't seen footage of this game of characters making funny faces like they do in SF 4, and Chun-li looks hotter in my opinion . Then there are all the crazy non-SF characters (the ridiculous goldbar transformer , and that robot thingy from Lost planet). I think I'll get this if it comes out here (I think it will though). Then again, I may get SF 4 as well, it looks pretty cool (despite the stupid faces and 3D), the anti-hype has died down mostly (that's the other way around huh?).

Never owned this game unfortunately, but have some nice (albeit vague, but that's just my memory :P) memories of it. And it was the reason I just had to have Perfect Dark. I love how you could mess up the cutscenes. Put on slowmotion mode in the last level to have the helicopter leave without you, and even more funnier, turn on turbo mode to leave without the helicopter! And the funniest cutscene of all, allthough I forgot the name of the level.. Archive? You have to end the level by escaping through a window, and you get a cutscene of Bond and Natalya walking out of an alley. Before you escape though, leave a timed mine (you need a cheat for that I recall) on the furthest window of the room, then leave the room through he first. Heh.

To be honest, I really don't like this news of the two versions. I mean, of course I hate censorship, but they shouldn't have censored the first game in the first place. I stuck with the EU version, so with the sequel, I have to choose between the "real" version which doesn't match the first one in style, or yet again the censored version, which does match.. They'll only make me happy if they also rerelease the uncensored version of the first one if this is the case.

I'm not really into serious sport games, but PES Wii did interest me, with the special controls and all. As occasionally I do get the urge for a normal football game (one without hammer throwing turtles), I've though of getting it, but as I'm not in a hurry, and they seem to have refined the controls, I think I'll wait for this one.
-
Great, another € 50,- gone (assuming it's on Wii though).
-
This is somewhere in 2009 right? I'd love to get this, so I hope to have a PS3 and a HDTV next to my Wii by that time. RE 4 was my first RE too, so I've not had my fill yet . I also wanna vote Sheva (that was her name?) for ultimate gamebabe.
-
Yeah, to me this was a low-point in an otherwise great conference.. I'm not interested in the slightest. I either already own the game, or I wasn't interested in the first place. With a few exceptions.. I don't own Pikmin 2 for example. But even those, I'd rather hunt down the original versions, while I still can. That's not to say I don't think added Wii controls etc. won't be improvements, but not enough for me to really bother, I'll stick with the original versions. Like I have with Zelda Twilight Princess and Resident Evil 4.

IGN also mentiones the DSi uses a different AC adapter, good to know in advance.
-
I do! Ok good. Well, about the game in general, you draw the same conclusion as IGN.. Not great, simply good. You mention several things the IGN review mentions, only you dislike Nina's voice, where they'd though it's one of the better voices in the game.. As for the Wii specific things, good to know there are no (real) disadvantages. So I'll keep this game in mind. After Blob, Wario and Mega Man, there aren't many Wii titles left untill next year that I'm really looking forward too, so I'll probably pick this up in the coming months.
-
Hmm, the article on the frontpage now mentions DSi specific games (card-based games mind) will also be regionlocked from now on.. That's not good, that's bad. Allthough I never imported much myself, I was happy to have the option.. Now my import pre-order is 100% justified, the ability to easily import Japanese games far outweighs the disadvantages for me. But it also means a required EU device for the EU games..

Didn't seem to have its own thread yet, so there you have it. I've seen it in stores, and I recognized the name, as I've read an IGN review of the PC version some time ago, as I have an interest in point & click adventures. The IGN review was pretty favourable, and I've though of picking this up, but with a lot of other games to play and buy, I think I'll wait for a while. In the meantime, I'd like to hear people's experiences with this particular version (if there are any ), or otherwise with the PC version. I know there are other P&C adventure fans, so anyone else thinking of picking this one up?

Hi, Is there an option for when you use the ignore option, there won't be anything revealed at all? So there's not even a post with the notion that the post won't show up because you're ignoring that person. It's like only half-ignoring right now..
