Yep, loved the game too.. In those days I still rented a game from time to time, and I loved this games so much, that even after renting it twice, I still bothered to buy this game. The guy from from the rental store was even surprised I rented it twice. I had to buy it, to see the last planet I didn't visit on my run-throughs when I rented the game, Zoness, which I think may be my favourite planet. I love Macbeth also. Least favourite is Sector Z. I don't think I liked Aquas much when I first played it, but I think it just takes some time to get used too. It's the most tiring planet for me though, but gotta abuse those unlimited torpedoes . Agree on the lines, they make me chuckle every time I hear them (or somebody quotes them ). Another one to add: "Daddy screamed real good before he died" . This is also one of the few games I managed to finish 100 %, in other words all medals on normal & hard, which unlocked me the on-foot mode in multiplayer, the soundtest, the alternative titlescreen, and the hardmode obviously.. I've seen the 2 extra endingscreens in hard mode, and I've seen the alternative ending to Katina. My hi-score is a little over 1500, which isn't spectacular compared to the world rankings it seems . Last few notes on this great game: - Great collection of bosses (and the best of all Starfox games, but that's not hard to achieve unfortunately). - Best rumble experience ever.. I should buy some batteries for that thing again. - Too bad they couldn't use the Starfox title in the ehh title at that point, that's what I rented at the rental store (Japanese version in a much cooler box). - The only gripe I have with the game.. Voluntarily going to that desert planet results in the biggest goof of the game.. Somehow Slippy has been captured from right under your nose on your way over there.

Didn't know that's the case (don't think it is actually), it's showing in cinemas nevertheless, so I'm calling it a movie . And I for one, will be seeing it. It looks cool, and personally I found the clone wars and the clone wars animations to be the best things to come from the new trilogy (I hated pretty much the rest of it, I really only enjoyed part II of the movies). I do like the look and sound of this, so I'll be looking forward to it.

Forgot all about this, but I've seen it in the store today (popped out of nowhere), forgot to check the price though. Does anyone have experience with this game? IGN found it decent, it may be a nice title for my horror fix.. Fatal Frame won't be out for quite some time, and RE 5.. Well, yes. But people say it's a nice co-op title.. Any people who enjoyed this on their own?
-
Wait.. I forgot all about the DS version. Has it actually been released in Europe? Because I don't remember ever seeing it in stores.. I was interested in that game. This game by the way, also has my interest. I'll keep it in mind.
-
.. I'll kill some "babiez", then when they put me in prison, I'll tell the press Ubisoft made me do it.. That'll get their attention. They could make up for it though, by making Red Stell bloody fantastic and / or releasing the new Prince of Persia (if technically possible).
-
Haven't played the others in the series, but it sounds very cool, so I hope this'll get an European release. Strange those rumours though.. Not something you'd expect, Nintendo buying such a franchise.
-
For me personally it wasn't a problem.. If you're like me, you like to kill everything that should be killed . So yeah, to me it was obvious what had to be done. Some lovely animation by the way in this game, just adds to the artstyle, but this boss for example, it was very cool to watch him emerge. And so sweet when you've ehh "purified" him, he picks up Deo. About glitches: I've never been pushed throught the ground myself, but I had a rock disappear, which I needed for a switch (the switch was actually what made it disappear.. D'oh.). And there's the occasional framerate issue.. And not a glitch, but an oversight in my opinion, especially since the rest of the animation is great.. Toku can't simply push a rock or seed.. He just bumps into it. Actually, it's the same if you walk into a wall. Oh well, just as VC games, it's always possible to update Wiiware games. Anyway, do you get anything special for collecting every statue? Or is that spoiler material? I'm missing one. I'll come back for it later, but I'm currecntly playing Final Fantasy.

Hmm, I only own (and have played) 4, but I'm interested in the older titles, because eventhough the controls might feel clunky, they seem to be a lot scarier than 4. So, let me see if I got this straight (please correct me if I don't): There are 5 "normal" RE games, and they're all available on the Cube. In chronicle order they are 0, 1, 2, 3, and CV somewhere around.. 3? 0 is originally for the Cube and 1 has been remade entirely for the Cube, making these 2 the best on the Cube in terms of presentational quality etc. 2 and 3 haven't been remade, but are instead direct ports of the PS 1 versions, making these graphically least interesting titles. CV, being a port from the.. DC? Falls somewhere in between I assume. The games that have been enjoyed most by fans are 1, 0 and CV? Ok, if got this straight.. Which games should I add to me collection? They're all easy to find I think, but I don't think I'll buy them all, or not at once at least. Then again, the reason I'm interested is the story, of which you don't get much in part 4.Oh well, I probably should hunt down Beyond good & evil first before going after these RE games .
-
Hmm, I might get this, but is the Headtracking easteregg still in? I'd love to see that for myself.. Also there's a competition on the official Nintendo site, where EA's giving away Boom Blox prizes. I checked the Dutch site, but I assume it's for every country.

Hmm. Haven't kept up with the news on this one, but those screens look lovely.. They actually revive my hype for this game. I used to think I'd have an X-box by now, purely for the Rare games, but I never got one. Not even Perfect Dark could persuade me. Banjo Kazooie however, is what I've really been waiting for, and what I miss the most on Nintendo consoles. Even more than Perfect Dark, I want to keep up with the adventures of my favorite bear and bird duo, I want Banjo Threeie. I think when Banjo Threeie is released it'll probably the day I buy an X-box (and Banjo Threeie obviously).

Virtual Console - All you need to know

Hmm, Nintendo site says one of the upcoming Hanabi games is Cho Aniki.. That's that very, very, very wrong shooter if I'm not mistaking? I'm so gonna download that. -
Finally finished Path of Radiance and started on Radiant Dawn. I've now found out what exactly the data transfer does, and apparently it's next to useless in my case . I only have 5 characters leveled up to 20/20 unfortunately, and I don't have any A level supports. Oh well, I won't mind doing another playthrough of PoR one day . As for Radiant Dawn, well, I'm liking it so far, but not as much as Path of Radiance. Eventhough it appears the story is even more epic this time around, the way it's presented in 4 seperate chapters with it's own mini-stories, it al feels a bit hasty.. You don't get much to know about the Dawn Brigade's members, and that's why I don't really care for many of them.. Quick question, I've played through chapter 1, but I didn't use my bonus exp in the final chapter (was saving it 'till the end like PoR, but I guess this game has 4 final chapters). It's gone now, and I suppose I don't get it back even when I regain control of the Dawn Brigade? Oh well, I'm thinking of replaying chapter 1 anyway to divide the exp better.

I'm pretty crap, but I should practice the GP's more.. Have only done up 'till the 3rd cup of 100 CC. Don't even know all the shortcuts, but it's better to watch the time trial runs of the champions for tips & tricks on each track. Nice feature. But in any case, I barely managed to scrape together 1000 points (making my total around 6000). About getting disconnects and your points, I disconnected twice so far I think, one time I was expecting it, but I can't recall what it did to my points, I don't think it did anything. One time I disconnected from a friends game, or maybe they got disconnected.. I don't know their side of the story yet, so I don't know what really happened. I thought people who disconnected got replaced by AI, or was that Smash Brothers? Anyway, it was a 3 player game, 1 disappeared completely, and one other still remained, I won the race and got the points. About the tracks I choose.. I've only voted random. I think I'll keep that policy. Oh, and I have yet to try out the wheel! Haven't tried the Cube controller and nunchuck / remote combo yet either, but I find the classic very comfortable.
-
It happens when you disconnect for whatever reason, bad connection for example. I've seen it happen too once, I was expecting a disconnect, and it seems Mario Kart Wii handles disconnects very poorly.. Must be me, but I had to laugh at this. Haven't posted my experiences yet, only that I bought the game, but here it is. It's a very entertaining experience. Online is great, haven't experienced real lag, only when my brother was youtubing videos I got kicked out (I'm using the USB connector on his computer). I wasn't biased for or against the inclusion of bikes, but I'm liking them now, eventhough I'm not using them myself. But it appears they're actually better than karts, or is it me? I love the the trickboosting. I like a lot of the new tracks, and most of the old ones (most of them which are new to me too since I barely remember the SNES & GBA version, never played the DS version, and don't acknowledge the Cube version, which leaves only the 4 N64 tracks I'm familiar with). Of the new ones I love Maple tree, Toad's factory, and Wario's mine. Don't like Moonview highway much, but maybe it'll change when I get to know the track better. Of the retro ones I don't (or barely) know I love the SNES tracks and the Delfino track, and the DS Diddy ehh desert track. I'm a bit dissappointed with battle mode, but maybe I'll like it more if I play it some more. But I wish they included a FFA and / or 4 player max option(s). Just one thing I really, really hate.. That thundercloud thing. Aren't items, especially when you're losing, not supposed to help you? Then what good does that thundercloud do? I thought I didn't mind much the lack of option to choose which specific items you want in the game, but I really want to turn that damn thing off.

I really hope they get a publisher.. If they do, I promise they've got my money (even now with so little info). Now if only someone would do this for the RPG genre..

Damn. No world map, worse character designs and graphics compared to original, judging from the screenshots, and now we find out there are no anime cutscenes? Why not take out the battle mechanics as well and make it a platformer. Each new information is more and more depressing it seems.. The story and gameplay be better unbelievably fantastic. If I'm dissappointed, I might join the others on that raid thingy. I hope it still turns out decent, but if not.. Well it's sad because it's still a must-buy for Tales (of Symphonia) fans, eventhough it's already dissappointing. Not buying it just reduces are chances of getting a "real" Tales. I spent litterally hundreds of Euros on Tales of Symphonia stuff now, so this is the thanks I get..

Got this today; not gonna play it 'till tomorrow, when I can play it the old fashioned way, 4 people in a room . That's (hopefully) gonna be a blast. Then back at home I'll try my hands at online, and maybe even try the single player while I'm at it! . Can't wait. Edit: Just opened the box to take a look at the manual, I noticed I have 2 starpointcards.. One for the wheel, one for the game? (..)

Finally bought this game today (was supposed to get this together with No more Heroes on release), but I'm not going to play it yet, since I have Path of Radiance still to complete. I've started over without finishing my first run, although I still have the savefile just in case. With that one I was at chapter 21 I believe. I've started over in preparation of Radiant Dawn, to get the best team possible. So does anyone have any general advice? I'm already more conscious of who's getting exp, I already have a general idea of who I'm gonna use, and I'll use GameFaqs for any new recruits (got most of them so far in my old save, with and without the help of GameFaqs, but I did kill Shinon for example.. Eventhough I do not intend to use him). Can you carry over items, even from the convoy? I haven't used any stat increasing items I've gotten so far in the new file, I'll save them for near the end, or even for Radiant Dawn if possible. And just to be clear, I'm playing PoR on normal, so that means "easy" for me on RD? And again, I'd appreciate any general tips..

Heh, it was exactly the same for me. Shinobu still got me 1 or 2 times I think, when I tried again, but after some patience, I finally got her. Seems she is as much bothered by pillars as I am .
-
Hmm, so you can't turn off the AI? Or have simply 4 players in a (battle) game? That does suck.. Fortunately I can still play Mario Kart 64 if I want to play Sky Scraper with 4 players.. It also means playing against my brother won't be as fun as it used to be.. If it's true, that would be a huge oversight indeed.

Got this game (now still Fire Emblem to buy), and I'm loving it (well like I though I would ). Travis is such an asshole though . Not a problem in general (obviously), but I wish he (well, I) didn't have to kill the third boss (Shinobi was it or something?) She's sexy and stylish, heh. Anyone know where I can find some artwork of her? Anyway, I'm getting my arse kicked by her at the moment. I didn't have any problems with the first 2 bosses, but with her I keep walking into pillars or walls at which point she nails me with her multiple hitting moves, which usually kills me instantly (looks very cool though).. I think I'm going to do the tutorial some more, I still haven't got all the techniques under control I guess. Can't do those free fights too. I agree, the overworld could use some polish, but I'm really not that bothered with it. After boss 2, it's obvious you'll unlock plenty stuff to do. Love jumping off that ramp at the beach by the way . Shortcut to your motel basically . Anyway, I'll do the tutorial again later like I said, and make some other attempts at beating the third boss.

To be honest, I think I'm also more excited for this than for brawl. It's obvious Brawl blow Mario Kart out of the water in terms of production value etc., but well, I think I stand a better chance at Kart online than Brawl online . That, and this being released in April and Brawl supposedly 3rd quarter, also helps . It's also why I'm not that upset over that 3rd Q release of Brawl. Anyway, I hope it feels more like MK64 than Double Dash, because I absolutely loath DD. I wish they'd replace Waluigi track from DD with the far superior Wario track from MK64 (unless of course that's already in?). I'm looking forward to this, but I don't want to be reminded of DD at all.. Anyway, less than 2 months away, can't wait. Hope they get it right..

Well, for me personally, Metroid Prime fulfills both my Metroid fix and my FPS fix. It isn't a traditional FPS, but I don't care what's it called, I love it. There are other FPS games that blend genres, like Deus Ex, so I don't see why Metroid Prime can't be another example of such great games. I'd love to see a more traditional FPS Metroid game in the form of a Wii Metroid Prime Hunters though. I'll probably be in the minority, but I'd love to see this as a spin-off, especially since a new (normal) console Metroid game probably won't be out for quite some time. Everyone who doesn't like it can ignore it, all the FPS gamers can have a blast. I would love to see more FPS games in general, multiplayer especially, since my PC is too old to handle any recent game unfortunately. I love the aspect of 32 players online in MOH II, but I've had enough of WW II, so I'll pass on that game. Metroid Prime Hunters Wii would be excellent. Anyway, back to MP III, I've started a new session recently, doing Veteran this time. I got "stuck" on the Ridley morphball tube bit, I wanted to get that bonus, but not getting hit once is damn anoying. And doing another attempt takes much time. I finally gave up, and just got on with it. Did the real fight, he seemed a harder, but I forgot how I was doing on normal (aka easy). I've done most of Bryo as well, did the Icemen boss, which was a lot easier this time around, surprisingly enough.Maybe because I have more experience, but probably because I spammed hypermode, which I was reluctant to use in my first run.. I fought him normally 'till halfway his health he starts getting anoying, at that point it took just discharge of hyper phazonbeams.. I quit right before disabling the seed shield, and right after I realized that again I forgot to scan the Meta Ridley fucker! Grr. I did get that Huzzar guy though. Oh well, I'll save Meta Ridley for when (if?) I attempt hypermode. Anyway, Mogenar is next on my list, I wonder how tough he is on veteran.

I'm also more of a Tiberium man myself, but nevertheless, this gets me very excited! I liked Tiberian Sun (my first PC game) better than Red Alert 2 for single player, Red alert 2 was better for multiplayer. I have yet to play C&C 3 (I have the game, just not the PC yet ) though. But I'm looking forward to this, can't wait to find out what else they'll add and change to Red Alert. I do hope they bring Kari Wuhrer back as Tanya though! But I doubt it ha ha. Anyway, I hope the cutscenes will be just as fun as in red Alert 2. The whole cast was great.

Yeah, Zelos is the 7th secret character. There are 7 characters, in 2 versions, Zelos with the flowers is the alternate version (he normally has some sort of sabre). Regal and Raine are missing indeed, which is unfortunate, I really would've liked a figure of Raine especially (with a broom as alternative version ). Eventhough I'm a Sheena lover (like the rest of you :P), I personnally find Presea the coolest of the bunch. Something about little pink-haired girls with Axes thrice their size . Be careful though.. That axe is vulnerable. I actually dropped her (and the axe), and it broke. But as I ordered 3 of those boxes, I'm confident there's another Presea (with normal Axe) in there . As for Raine and, I'm sure the sequel (and the OVA) will be enough reason to make a new set of gashapon, and they'd better include my other favourite this time around!
