Hmm.. So a friend (and I don’t have many) got the results from a test on her liver. I haven’t been able to reach her yet, but I found out the results through her mother. She has not one, but 2 types of tumors in her liver, so that’s great. Apparently they’re benign, but one of them could turn malignent. Doctors are working on it, she’s waiting for further advice. Less troubling but also not great, apparently my brother also went to the hospital for a test, apparently he has the same skin disease Micheal Jackson had. He has some white spots on his skin, but the most visible symptom is his grey hair. He didn’t have any a year ago, and he’s 26. <sigh>

Unfortunately, I didn’t sign up for Peeps’ DIY because I was engaged in a war to save the universe (or so I thought, but this isn’t the place), but I’ve been itching to play one again since the sign-ups of the last Pokemafia (but I had other stuff on my mind, so I didn’t sign up for that one as well). @Tales, what’s the status of yours?

You’re highly insinuating that I whine too much about little details about the face, and when I suggest the other extreme, no details at all, then suddenly you do care about visuals. You can replace all the sprites in Super Mario Bros with coloured squares without affecting the gameplay. But that’s going too far? My point was, you think you’re level of immersion is the right one, whereas I crossed some line somewhere apparently. And that annoyed me. Don’t attack me because I’m more immersed in the trilogy than you are. Anyway, got my package, it’s installed, downloading the dlc right now.. Then I’ll play multiplayer for a few hours. I’ll put my origin account (<sigh>) here later for the other PC players (or just the one ) out there, we can do some co-op in the weekend perhaps (I’ll start with an engineer).

Anything can happen in 40 30 minutes! Anyway, there have been rumours for months that a new Ipad would be released in March, but apart from that there was no news. Today I see various tech spec rumours popping up on Engadget, and now apparently there’s some release event. So ehm, fingers crossed for retina display!

Supposedly the Ipad 3 is going to be unveiled in 40 minutes: http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/07/apple-ipad-3-liveblog/

I wouldn’t know, I haven’t seen the guy in action.

Also, there seems to be an ME anime coming out, but I don’t know how official this is. There’s no official announcement as of yet I believe.. But here’s the teaser page: http://www.masseffectparagonlost.com/ If it’s real then Production IG is behind it, which would be cool. Don't think I need to spoiler it, but just in case, it’s supposedly about:

Please, give me a break. You may not be concerned with details, but I am. I’m sure you wouldn’t care if they shipped ME3 without actual cutscenes and just simple text descriptions between missions telling the story. To me, not being able to play my character, is the exact same thing as suddenly replacing a character’s actor in a TV show. But I’m obviously in the minority here. Anyway, we can drop the subject. They said they’re working on it, and I can rest easy (sort of.. I haven’t received any confirmation on shipping yet, so I wonder if I’ll get it tomorrow). On a different note: People on PC (and playing the game through VPN’s perhaps) can pick up a free sniper rifle by registering on the Alienware site: http://www.alienwarearena.com/giveaway/mass-effect-3-giveaway/ (PC only for now)

Not me, I’ve spent a lot of time 2 years ago to get the face perfect. Yeah sure, I can get a good approximate of the face by taking a screenshot (from different angles and good lighting..) of ME1 or 2, but an approximate will not do. It will always feel off, if I’m not sure it isn’t exactly my Shepard. I’ll need the exact slider positions, and that’ll take more than 10 minutes, and basically is a chore. Stuff like hair colour is easy obviously, but the exact brow height? Or the other subtle stuff? Why put gamers like me through that, if this is something that should’ve have worked in the first place? It worked fine in ME2. Also to clear up: faces created in ME2 work fine.

I intended to play multiplayer anyway, at least enough for it to have a big enough impact in singleplayer. Didn’t expect it to play a week (?) of multiplayer without even starting singleplayer though. If they’re not going to fix it, I’ll use one of those work-arounds.

Hmm, due to my excitement I’ve been visiting BSN the last couple of days, picked up a few minor gamepley spoilers but nothing I can’t handle. There’s one non-spoiler issue though, that concerns me greatly, and which now has been confirmed thanks to the US release of the game. Hardcore fans who have been there since the beginning, and played through both games with a Shepard they’ve carefully created in ME1’s character creator, and have imported it unchanged in ME2, will not be able to import that Shepard into ME3. All your choices will import, but not the face. Personally, that’s enough reason for me not to start singleplayer right away, at least not untill they fix it. If they’ll fix it. The issue has been known for a week, but only now there has been a official comment on the matter, with no hint of a fix in the works for now. There are various work-arounds, but they are a lot of hassle, all using unofficial 3rd party tools, and with various degrees of success. This is a great disappointment for me, nonetheless I’m hopeful they’ll fix it, and hopefully quickly. In the meantime I’ll be playing multiplayer.

1] take the money. A pound is still a pound. 2] provide evidence. I find the situation highly illogical / bizar. You both deserve to be in prison, and why would you have evidence on him? But anyway, to provide evidence is the more rewarding option in this case. If the other guy would be my partner / friend, I would do the 50 / 50 thing. The links Eddie posted are interesting too.

But the only me2 dlc that costed 800 points was the shadow broker, so it better live up to those expectations. I really wonder how it?ll fit in story-wise.. If it?ll be appropriate for both in the middle of the game and after beating the normal content. Also decided playing the multiplayer part of the demo wasn?t going to spoil the single player, so I?ve been playing that, as I was curious what the gameplay was like, and to not be the total n00b when the game finally ships. Finally beat silver tonight. I don?t think my regular character (human male lvl 20 engineer) is appropriate for dealing with the likes of phantoms. Anyway. Few more weeks!

Really? I thought the trailer really wasn?t interesting, but if people here liked it, I may have to give this a chance. That said, there are some other films I want to see first.

Yeah, I hated the improsned as well. Damn annoying, and there’s a timelimit as well! Second is the hardest I think, it’s the last boss in the boss run (at least for me it is, I don’t know if the order varies much? Only once I’ve seen a slight different order in bosses). After some tries, I learned a few tricks though. When he starts climbing the wall, you can save a bomb, and get a relatively easy way to stun him, you have to windsail your way to the cliff he’s climbing, then hit his fingernails, as they are a lot easier to destroy than his toenails (and then he falls down). Speaking about the bossrun, did it almost on my first attempt, but lost the last battle.. Indeed, to the Imprisoned. It was the first time I saw him crash the temple as well, as I defeated him in the normal encounters on the first attempt. Then triend again, and won! Only to be very disappointed, I thought somehow all the prizes would accumulate, and I’m only interested in the shield and the heartpiece obviously. Yeah, lots of Rupees, but nothing to spend it on at that point, I bought everything in Beedle’s shop (I also missed the discount Beedle gives you). Anyway, so I try the boss run a few times more, I think I died once in the first battle, I always choose the final Imprisoned fight to start with. After each attempt at the bossrun, I seemed to be getting worse and worse at those battles! Anyway, I finally got the shield in the end, now it’s just the heartpiece I need, then I’m done with the bossrun. Luckily the heartpiece is easily obtained. The bossrun would be more fun without the Improsoned battles.

All female party. As for roles, in generally do the standard mix, depending on how many party members I can have. I healer who can also do some offensive spells when everyone?s healed up, one are of affect spellcaster, 1 or 2 pure offensive characters, usually some melee character to tank, and if I can have a fourth, a long range attacker (mage or rogue or summoner or whatever) to support. I general I prefer mages though, and I like characters who have alternative functions, like the forementioned offensive healers, and mages who besides standard offensive spells have status changing spells. It does depend on the game a bit. Although I haven?t finished dragon Age, I was playing with 3 mages and a rogue (i.e. the all-girly-party). It?s been a while though since I played a (J)RPG, I have yet to buy Xenoblade Chronicles (but I will).
