My first football match in 3 words: cold, wet, and cancelled!
-
I'll be in-game in say 10 minutes, I'll make a room, and see who joins. unfortunately, I don't have any other means of communications during the game at this point, so just leave when you've had enough, I think I'll play Salmon run for about an hour. I'm not going to make it too late this night.

Went from over-achiever back to go-getter because of those weapons . I'll make a room ad 23:00 UK / 00:00 CET (unless, like I said, I'm not back by then, but I'm pretty sure I will be).

Metroid Samus Returns for 3DS (2D Metroid game)
Sméagol replied to Helmsly's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That's why you vote with your wallet. I actually like the metroid amiibo, so I may get it just for its own sake, but I love the school uniform in Splatoon 2, but I'm not getting the old amiibo just to unlock it, nor have I bought any Zelda amiibo. Cosmetic content unlocked using amiibo is fine, but actual functional content should be available through normal means. So punish Nintendo by not buying the amiibo. -
Is it me, or are some weapons simply terrible when playing Salmon run? I don't like the snipers, the minigun, or the paintbrush at all. The sniper barely inks, is the absolute best weapon against those bomb throwing boss enemies, but crap against anything else. The minigun also barely inks, is great against small groups of small enemies, ok against most boss characters individually, but useless when things get hectic (which is often). The paintbrush is ok at inking, but can barely kill anything. I love Salmon run, but it's excruciating when I get these weapons . Still, I'm up for some midnight (23:00 UK) Salmon run if anyone wants to play. Unless I'm not back home yet.

I also pre-ordered this last-minute, and have downloaded it yesterday. Did it mostly for support, as I wasn't aware actually what the "battle system" was like.. Haha. It's strange.. But fun. It's more like an arcade sports game than a battle system. I've only played for a bit. The first few battles are easy, but I feel like I'm still playing the tutorial part of the game (just 2 hours in).. I can imagine this getting hard when you actually have to switch between characters. It seems so far like a "simple to learn, hard to master" kind of thing. Anyway, I don't have to mention the visuals are gorgeous, and god, the music.. The game is an atmosphere explosion. An amazing world where you want to jump through your screen to enter it yourself.

Haha.. You know what I do with those blue shells.. Throw them away asap, as they're not helping me

I would, but I can't :p. And Salmon run has ended for today unfortunately (and voice chat would be beneficial during salmon run by the way). I'm only checking the forum for a minute.. If someone here reads this and want to start a private game (I have no preferences regarding what modes) at say, 21:30, I'm in. I'll check for private rooms, otherwise I'll just join random NE people. If everyone joins the someone already in a game, we end up with a public NE lobby eventually ;).

Anyone up for some games after the Mario Kart league?

Ok, I'm in.

I know it's fun to make the joke about Nintendo and stock levels.. But physical stores usually have limited stock, depending on where they are located. It's readily available online, I don't think there's a shortage problem. Anyone op for Salmon run tonight? I should be ready around mindnight (so 23:00 for you guys). Going to see Planet of the apes first, which has a respectable running time, but should be ready by then.
-
They removed it from the store. I heard there was some major bug left in one of the levels. I have not experienced this myself, I've only played the first level and some kung football and had enough to form an opinion on it.

I want to play Salmon run goddammit.

Got the game today, and played for several hours. It's fun! First I directly plunged into turfwar battles, to get at least level 4 so the shops would open. Bought some stuff. Then it was the first "world" of the single player (missed one scroll somewhere), then it was onto salmon run. I think I may like that one the best actually. Wish there were more messages though. Played enough to unlock the shirt. I didn't think I would, but I actually like the constant random assigning of weapons. Lets me get used to weapons I'm not currently using outside of Salmon run. In turf war I'm currently using the roller, and I'm a fan of the duelies. I only tried motion controls this session, and I'm still getting motion sick, so I need a break now. I'll probably try dual stick next session. I may be back tonight. Can't wait to play some multiplayer with you guys!

Didn't get around to it yet, as those fuckers here are making it really hard for me to see it properly (in 2D and on a nice screen). I intend to see it tomorrow.

I would look for a simple website host. You pay for it, but you pay much less than the 400 dollars (was it I believe?) Photobucket is asking, and you can hotlink all you want. You even have the option to start a website. If you have the hardware (or are willing to buy it), you could also run your own server.

I skipped Live by night because I didn't hear good things about it. I usually ignore these, but I didn't this time. Perhaps a shame, as I watch almost anything with Elle Fanning. Anyway, I did love Argo.

I hope he'll do the Batman film at the very least.. THe DCU has many problems, but I don't think Ben Affleck is one of them, I like him as Batman.

I can't comment on the ABC series as I've never seen them (as they're not on Netflix), but I don't share your opinion on the Netflix series. I actually loved Jessica Jones. Iron fist wasn't fantastic, but I still thought it was ok. Personally, I found Luke Cage to be the most disappointig, but even that show had still things I really enjoyed. To me, this just looks like a similar situation as phase 1 of the MCU.. I loved Iron man, thought the Hulk was ok, but didn't care much for Thor and Captain America. The last 2 still had thing I enjoyed in them, not the least of all the lead characters, which still resulted in me being hyped for The Avengers. I still think The defenders is going to be the The avengers for the Netflix series.

Little dragon - Season high I'm going to see them in November. I also just bought my ticket to my very first footbalmatch! A quarter final for the women's Euro cup. Let's also pretend I bought Splatoon 2 today.

This is going to be just as much part of phase 3 as the Netflix series are :P. And it's not looking better. I mean, I'll probably still give it a try if I get the chance, but It's not doing anything for me currently. And it looks way to cheap for a theatrical release..
