  1. I can't comment on the ABC series as I've never seen them (as they're not on Netflix), but I don't share your opinion on the Netflix series. I actually loved Jessica Jones. Iron fist wasn't fantastic, but I still thought it was ok. Personally, I found Luke Cage to be the most disappointig, but even that show had still things I really enjoyed. To me, this just looks like a similar situation as phase 1 of the MCU.. I loved Iron man, thought the Hulk was ok, but didn't care much for Thor and Captain America. The last 2 still had thing I enjoyed in them, not the least of all the lead characters, which still resulted in me being hyped for The Avengers. I still think The defenders is going to be the The avengers for the Netflix series.
  2. Little dragon - Season high I'm going to see them in November. I also just bought my ticket to my very first footbalmatch! A quarter final for the women's Euro cup. Let's also pretend I bought Splatoon 2 today.
  3. This is going to be just as much part of phase 3 as the Netflix series are :P. And it's not looking better. I mean, I'll probably still give it a try if I get the chance, but It's not doing anything for me currently. And it looks way to cheap for a theatrical release..
  4. Tomorrow I'll try to hook up my Wii Speak, see if that works.
  5. .. Ehm, I was late, and the store was already closed :|. Does anyone want to play some online games tomorrow afternoon (with someone who doesn't know how to play the game :P)? Wasn't there some kind of league for the first game similar to Mario Kart? I was also thinking of starting a thread for scheduling casual online meet-ups, though not for one game in particular. I could do with some weekly rotation of casual games of Mario Kart and Splatoon, and other games when I get them.
  6. Or € 30,-. I hear it's popular, but it doesn't seem like a € 30,- game to me? And it's half of that on Steam. Does anyone have any comments about NBA playgrounds after the online patch? Seems like it could be a fun multiplayer game.
  7. I barely care at this point, I even haven't started season 3 yet, but: this is getting a 4th and final season. Batman is also getting a new season, and shocker! so is The wolf among us!
  8. Nights of azure moon 2 - Bride of the new moon Hmm, "do I need more waifus?", I find myself wondering. I have no idea if the game's for me, I only know I like the artwork. And this seems like a nice limited edition regardless. This is a limited release for Europe actually, the releasedate is 27-10-2017 and you can order here I also saw the Fire Emblem Warriors limited editions up for pre-order, but I remember those already being posted in its respective thread.
  9. Called a local shop (the one where I got my Switch) today, but they wouldn't sell it today, ah well, can't blame them, no problem. They reserved a copy for me, and I'll be getting it tomorrow.
  10. I can't believe this has turned into a boring discussion about gender issues and other boring stuff. I happen to love women. I've wanted a female doctor for years. I'm looking forward to see what she brings to the character. Hopefully the writers and directors know what to do with the her this time.
  11. Played the Splatfest for about an hour. had enough fun that I want to keep playing, so I'll be getting this Thursday. I still need a lot of work to get used to the controls though, but I love absolutely everything else. I just love the whole style of it.. Seeing the hub transformed for a concert was so cool.
  12. My brother found this somewhere.. Looks fucking awesome.
  13. Yup, I thought the film was just ok too. Didn't have the obvious problems Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad had, but didn't really do anything to elevate things either.. Just like Bob, loved the beginning, ending was boring. Gal Gadot though.. ♥ She brings such elegance to the character, I loved that. The Amazons were cool (even a fun cameo by famous Dutch babe Doutzen Kroes), but Chris Pines' friends.. Although very likeable, they felt so inconsequential to the film. Anyway, I was somewhat entertained, but this did nothing to restore any faith in de DC cinematic universe.
  14. Thanks! I've read the review on Nintendolife now.. And it sounds interesting. Sounds like a nice addition next to Snipperclips, so I think I'll get it. Flip Wars.. My quick impression was that it had a similar appeal as Bomberman, for a much lower price, but also with much less content.
  15. Do people have any opinions on any of the games released in the last 2 weeks? Some of them I think "maybe" (like those 2 cats, or bulb boy), others I have no idea. Like that vaccine, or those sheep or death squared.
  16. I really don't give a fuck about my score, so do whatever is easiest for you. But after playing a few of these, I now know I'm not going to join any games with pre-selected vehicle set-ups anymore. I have not used the bike since the Wii, and I was going all over the place.. I'm not having fun if I'm not able to control my vehicle, which is what happens when I'm not familar with it, and outside these games I never using anything other than the standard kart.
  17. For fuck's sake.. Tried using my phone, but it's so old it can't open the forum. Give me a minute to write down the tracks and grab a drink.
  18. I finally was able to pre-order Mario + Rabbids for 40 euros. I also finally ordered Disgaea 5.. It seems it's getting harder to get here in The Netherlands, so I ordered directly from NIS America. Mario Odyssey is on pre-order. I am most likely getting Splatoon at this point. I'll have to choose between Arms and Splatoon I guess. Arms has the better controls, but Splatoon has more content. But I'll definitely get Arms eventually. Yooka Laylee is also (still) a mustbuy, still waiting for a release.. 2017 is looking good, and that's not even mentioning the stuff in the E-shop.
  19. So, I'm finally nearing the end of the game, after 230 hours (though probably less, there was a lot of idle time). After my latest "tour of Hyrule" it was time to finish up. First up was a big section of Faron I really haven't explored before yet, mostly to get to a shrine I knew was there (the one on the beach) because I saw my brother visiting it. I had totally forgotten what you had to do for it though, so I left it again. Revisiting Faron brought me a shitload of Koroks, and more importantly, pictures for my compendium of early-game stuff. Also some sidequests I missed or had forgotten about. I did the horse race thing, which I had forgotten about, but was no problem with my new white horse, so I got some new horse gear. I completly missed the sidequest for getting rid of a Bokoblin gang (on horses), and completed it by accident. Also new was a totally aggravating horseback archery game, which I later found out I had to do again because I didn't get the complete set of horse gear. I also found the giant horse. A giant horse is still a horse, of course. Link looks like he wants to facepalm. Link can ride it just fine? Then it was time to move on to my final region: the Gerudo desert. I had a quick visit much earlier in the game, mostly to get someone to Tarrey town, but I had activated the 2 towers and checked out some shrines, but only scratched the surface. This time I checked out Gerudo town, and collected all the side- and main quests I could find. Then I explored the Gerudo highlands for some shrines, before going after the Thunder helm. The Yiga clan hide-out.. stealth is the suggested method, but for me this is late-game, so I just shot everyone in the face. But god, that stupid dance those soldiers do when they see a banana! Haha. Windcleavers are nice swords though! I also finally got the fucking duplex bow for that sidequest. Then it was the divine beast, and then it was exploring the rest of the desert for shrines, Koroks, and sidequests, and the last fairy. Of course I also had my first run-ins with Moldugas. As you can clearly see, this is the fearsome Molduga. I guess they're less fearsome when you're carrying savage Lynel bows and a shitload of bomb arrows. So apart from Koroks, and any specific locations I may have missed, that's it for the Gerudo area for me. What's left for me is my final tour of Hyrule before I revisit Hyrule castle, this time to fight Ganon. I do not have to search for shrines, they're all accounted for. I'm missing two shrines I wasn't able to enter yet, the beach shrine mentioned above and the 2nd one in Kakariko village. I will be hunting down every Lynel I come across for drops from now on (generally left them alone), and I will be collecting everything I see, for the gear upgrades. I already have 120000 rupees worth of ore, so I should be good on those. Finish up any sidequests and minigames. Then I'll do the Master trials, then it's time to finish the game (apart from the 900 Koroks. I'll find those post-game). As for the Kakariko shrine, I has a quick attempt to solve the quest for it.. I had no idea what to do. I thought I had to wait for something to trigger, which apparently is the case, but I didn't know what.. And then it finally happened, and I still didn't know what exactly caused it to trigger. So I looked it up, it seems finding and completing a sidequest I missed did the trick. Somehow it seems fitting to save that one for last, as it has a relatively larger backstory, and involves the Yiga who I just wiped out. It also seems fitting to finish up Tarrey town at the very last moment. The town is finished, but it feels appropriate to celebrate the wedding by destroying Ganon.
  20. Speaking of Oculus Rift, there's a deal going on, you can get a set (including both the touch controllers ans an XBox one controller) for 450 euros at the moment. I'll wait until I have a new computer and the next iteration is out.
  21. I believe there's been a shortage of rare minerals for years. They simply can't make as many devices / components as they'd like. In general.
  22. I wouldn't know about "dated and ugly", but making basic functionality not stand out more is just plain bad UX design. Putting them right under the body text makes them blur in with the text, which to me is ugly, and not user friendly. I can find them now, but I wouldn't have to look for them in the first place. It's also ridiculous it's hard to just change the backgroundcolor or something just as simple, that sounds like bad forum software. Anyway, I took a look at the only other forum I frequently go to at the moment, they also have simple text links for quotes and stuff. but they place them at the top right of a post, making them stand out more eventhough they're otherwise the same as here. It also helps they have a big margin at the right so text doesn't go to the end. Example: https://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/1759233/last But if a simple background colour is hard, moving things around must be impossible I assume.
  23. I'm still getting used to things, but my early thoughts were that I want some elements stand out more.. Nothing that can't be fixed with CSS. Specifically, I want a clearer separation between a post, the signature, and the element with all the functionality, like "quote" and "like". And again, I'm still getting used to things, but I think I'd like an option to disable WYSIWYG. It sometimes makes it harder to format things if want to move things around or want some extra space (or less space) somewhere. Of course I'll need a list of all the current tags, because I wasn't able to embed a tweet using bb code.. I don't know if a FAQ is already up somewhere.
  24. The Switch uses a capacitive screen (as opposed to resistive screen used on all previous Nintendo devices). Any stylus made for capacitive screens should work.. If I'm getting Splatoon (which is looking more likely now), I may get a stylus purely for Splatoon (well, hopefully there will be more games (or even other apps) that will benefit from a stylus). I tried my DSi stylus as well, but as that was intended for a resistive screen, it did absolutely nothing.
  25. May I suggest you add shorthand codes below the track images so I have less to write down, and can find the tracks easier? I suggest a format of x-y where x is the cup from 1 to 12 (starting top left going left to right) and y is the track within the cup from 1 to 4. So Rainboaw Road (SNES) would be 11-2 for example. Don't think I'll be there next Thursday, I have so many films to catch up on.
