I liked Split, but I thought the actual ending was disappointing (not the surprise twist, I liked the twist). It was a bit of a cop-out..

So those who want this, now would be a good time to get it.. The game is leaving digital shops. After 15 May, you won't be able to buy this game anymore on XBox live or Steam. Dunno about XBox live, but Steam will offer an 90% discount for the last 2 days. They stop selling the game because of music licenses. https://kotaku.com/alan-wake-is-disappearing-from-steam-and-xbox-live-beca-1795160432 http://steamcommunity.com/games/alanwake/announcements/detail/2362546845450971279 Alan wake's American nightmare is not affected. This was on my wishlist, but I prefer physical copies, but this was never high priority so I never got around to it. Will get the game tomorrow, though may still go after that physical copy. Also, wow that bump. Enjoy your nostalgia, N-Europe veterans.

You're Dutch so you should look at the Tweakers pricewatch for these kind of questions. It seems to be a good deal. While I'm here.. Last month I bought a graphic novel. Like, for myself. I rarely buy graphic novels (the previous one was last year, a souvernir from France). Story-wise it's for children, but the pictures are so pretty. I also ordered and received the blu-ray of the Webseries The vault, but I'll probably bump the thread for it. I also ordered a shitload of Nendoroids, but I'll be getting them over the course of the year.

I think prior experience helps a lot with the grand prix.. I haven 't played the original (well, only once for one race), so I don't know most of the tracks. Of all the (150cc) grand prix I've done so far, I've won most, but I have only 3-starred one of them. Well, 2 of them, but then I deleted my save file in order to have 0% on my assisted steering use. Fuck you Nintendo. Questions. 1] When playing Luigi, what's the button for the death stare. 2] Can you disable certain maps for random choice? I thought you could do this on Wii, but I forgot. I refuse to play fucking Baby park, it's half the reason that I fucking hate Double dash. Love the ending on this video.

So there was a design contest, some of you know as I saw it mentioned on the forum while searching for it. I didn't, or I'd have tried to design something. Anyway, the results are in. http://www.uniqlo.com/utgp2017/uk/ I've heard there will be more designs than the ones from the contest shown in the link. I'm definitely getting the Mario one, maybe the line Pikachu, with a smaller chance for the Splatoon shirt. Damn I want the Kirby one though, but there's only a kids version. The Pikmin shirt is also very nice, but only in a womens fit. Too bad there are no stores here in The Netherlands, so I'll have to order them online. I see they have some other nice themes as well.

Had some fun with this this night. Played some Grand Prix and online. Didn't do too well haha, it's been a while. Had a few connection problems, no idea if it's the wifi. I still have the Wii LAN adapter though, will see if that helps. Can't wait to play you guys.

Decided to do the same following your post. Intended to get it first thing in the morning on Friday, but that didn't pan out, and I'll only be able to visit a store next weekend, but the game was already sold out at the store I usually go to. I'll get it tomorrow, eventhough I'm actually not that much in a hurry, unlike with the console and Zelda at launch. 't will be my 2nd physical game. Was considering digitial, I can certainly see the benefits, but I'm old-fashioned.

Have you already contacted them about it? Anyway, I have 2 issues I should've asked about some time ago. 1] Does anyone else have problems with the resolution in the menu in docked mode? It doesn't completely fit my PC monitor, making the screen fuzzy. It's annoying, but it's only in the menu. Games (the ones that I presume are 1080p) look good (=sharp), like Wondergirl or the Puyo puyo tetris demo. Before you ask, yes, my monitor is exactly 1920*1080. 2] The pro controller. Does anyone else have issues with the d-pad? Mine seems to have problems with registering the right direction. Often pressing right (or left as well I think) will register as up. In Zelda this was annoying (opening the runes menu instead of the weapons menu). Then I thought it was me. But in Puyo puyo tetris it's downright disastrous (dropping blocks instantly when you don't want to), and it happened often. I'm wondering if it's a design issue or just my controller.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

In that case you may want to wait for the dlc to make the experience fresh again. That's tough. For now you could try to speedrun it, while playing other games.. -
Mantis is absolutely adorable. That scene in the teaser.. "She just told everyone your deepest, darkest secret! You must be so embarrassed!" It actually continues. That shot of her and Drax that follows is priceless. So many laughs in this film.

Intended to get this today, didn't work out. Will probably get it tomorrow. But I have some films I need to catch up on, so I'll probably join you online next week.

One month; more films. 2 film festivals actually. I missed Alien day! Alien is one of those films I can't remember if I've actually seen it, so this would've been a great opportunity, but alas, in the end I wasn't feeling up for it that exact moment. I did see another classic, American beauty, one I'm sure I've never seen before, and it was excellent. Ghost in the shell was shit. I've seen a few films at an animation film festival. One being Your name (or Kimi no na wa), finally! Another favourite of the year. Also very good was Seoul station, which is actually an animated prequel to Train in Busan I've mentioned in my previous post. They do things a bit differently, but I think I slightly prefer Seoul station. Then there was Imagine film festival, but I've seen enough films that I don't want to bother with all of them individually, I'll post trailers of my favourites below. Although I did get a second chance to see La región salvaje.. I missed the first 15 minutes at IFFR last time. Got to appreciate this erotic scifi drama more. Finally there's Guardians of the galaxy vol. 2. It's cool. Hilarious, some cool character interactions and even some development, but another typical weak Marvel bad guy who's simply disposed of. Still some great entertainment. Some of my favourites this month (apart from American Beauty and Guardians of the galaxy): Seoul station Zombies on a trainstation, the prequel to Zombies on a train. Your name Bittersweet fantasy romance. Girl asleep Cute and whimsical Australian coming of age. The life and death of Otto Bloom Fantasy romance in documentary style. Slash I have no idea why I initially dismissed this.. It's a sweet coming of age story about a guy writing a very specific kind of fanfiction (ah, that's probably why) but it's often hilarious. The eyes of my mother Nice dark and atmospheric horror El bar My favourite of the festival. A bunch of (very different) people get stuck in a bar. Apart from the mystery of what's actually happening, there are some funny dialogues and it's more about what people think, and ultimately do, to eachother. Pacing at the end could've been better, but overall, excellent. Loop Hungarian time travel shit.

Just a head's up: there's a real chance for another writer's strike. If they go ahead with the strike, this will have some (potentially disastrous) effects on a few films in production, but TV is where the effects are immediate. There should be more news on May 02. If the strike is on, the next season of Game of thrones is safe, but Star Trek Discovery could be even more delayed, to name an example.

Forgot I created this thread. Anyway, the situation is different now than at the time I posted this.. So I hope this will make it's way to Switch. Otherwise I'll get this for Steam eventually.

I'm getting more than expected out of this direct.

Yeah, another Cing (..) game would be high on my list yes. I want both, but out of these 2 I'd slightly prefer Another Code, and more importantly, if either has any chance, than I think an Another Code sequel would be more likely (since both games were published by Nintendo, unlike Little King's story). If people from the former studio would start a Kickstarter for either, I'd back the fuck out of that. Though they'd be needing the help of the relevant publishers / whoever owns the licenses. I got a mail from Steam notifying me Crawl is out of early access. It's a local 4-player multiplayer dungeoncrawler game that's simultaneously co-op and counter-op. It's always 3 vs 1, the hero vs the monsters, and the one who manages to slay the hero becomes the hero. Sounds like fun, but never bothered with it due to lack of online multiplayer. But this would be perfect for Switch. http://store.steampowered.com/app/293780/?snr=1_620_4_1401_45 I've already mentioned some other games in the general Switch thread I'd like to see. Zack & Wiki 2 Red Steel 3 Xcom 2 Fire Emblem - Hey this is actually already confirmed. Metroid 3D Metroid 2D Animal crossing - I always skip one or two generations, and now I'm ready for a new one. Mario maker port - This is actually the only WiiU port I really want. Kororinpa 3 - excellent for the E-shop with the Switch controls Megaman 11 - Still haven't had enough I'd also really like a new Korg emulator app. I have very specific ideas on that one, but at the least I'd like an mp3 export feature.

I want more selfie pose options in the dlc. -
Crap, I would really have loved to see Keira Knightley, I'm not even kidding. The meta jokes would write themselves. Hope they still make fun of it by letting her make a cameo where they show her auditioning or something, together with Mel Gibson (I don't see him doing that) or Dolph Lundgren (I totally see him doing that).

Tomorrow will see the release of: Mr. Shifty The Jackbox party pack 3
-
So.. this seems to be getting panned, but I personally loved it. A little bit of an Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind vibe.
-
I'm not expecting more than this, but I'm wondering if we'll get a glimpse of the Zelda dlc released this summer. But that may be a E3 thing (though I personally think it's too small for E3). I'm mostly interested in a Yooka Laylee releasedate. I haven't made up my mind yet on Splatoon and Arms, but Arms I'm unlikely to buy, and I lost some interest in Splatoon after the testfire. I do expect some releasedates for Indiegames we've seen in the Nindies direct, and I expect them soon, and I'm sure there will be something I like.
-
I stopped watching trailers from Spider-man and Guardians of the Galaxy, but I can handle a teaser for Thor. Looks great! Cate Blanchet looks deliciously evil.. And Tessa Thompson looks, well simply delicious. Can't wait to find out what happens to the other Asgardians.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Sméagol replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, I like how the game gives you multiple solutions to the same problem. I like watching my brother play for that reason, especially if he's doing stuff I've already done, just to see how he tackles stuff. For example, there is a shrine with a chest behind a locked door. I used the "proper" way to get there, burned away some leaves to reveal the key inside the room, then used magnesis to get it and open the door, and got the chest. He on other hand, failed to notice the key inside the room. He moved one of the wooden boxes near the wall, used stasis on the box, then bombed it, climbed on top of it, and jumped over the wall after being propelled upwards, and got the chest, and the key. Unfortunately, you can't open the door from the other side, and there was nothing left to stasis, so he bricked his game. I'm kidding, he warped back to the entrance, and re-entered the shrine, with everything reset except the key.
