  1. Wern't reviewers saying the LCD Vita wasn't better than the OLED which is currently available?
  2. A lot of wrestling fans don't want to see Taker lose at Mania, and i'm one of them. And i also believe that Mania 30 should be his last, i mean he wrestles once, maybe twice a year. He's looking more and more like a shell of his old self. Think he's closing in on 50 now as well.
  3. If he did go to the WWE, then it may only be for 1 match at Mania vs Undertaker. If he signed now, he's got a few months to get into shape and get match ready for Mania 30. But they are just rumours, probably won't happen.
  4. Batista is contracted a minimum of 2 years, and is working a near-full schedule once again. So that's most RAW's, most PPV's etc. As far as i'm aware with Hogan, it's strongly put in that he's signed and agreed to do Mania 30. The site(s) i use for my wrestling news are NoDQ and Wrestling News Source. Latest rumours (again, these happen same time every year) regarding Sting coming to the WWE. They keep saying he's strongly considering coming over. But again, take that with a pinch of salt.
  5. He doesn't need to resign, but he is fully responsible for the WiiU not selling as well as it should. The issue lies with the ideas that are in place. Games for the WiiU and 3DS which are months old still being charged at full price (aka £34.99, £49.99) this far down the line. I mean with Microsoft and Sony titles, the games are reduced after a month or two in price. Maybe changing the prices on games would be beneficial as well, and maybe reducing the cost of WiiU games to £40 each would help a bit.
  6. Fable II is more worth getting over Fable III, and with the Anniversary edition of the original Fable coming in 2 weeks time it may be worth picking up. I can't really think of any other games, maybe Forza.
  7. That would be interesting, and something that would make the game the all more better. Majora's Mask for the 3DS NEEDS to happen.
  8. I'll send over a challenge @Charlie, need a match after being beated by bob 6-3 today.
  9. F-Zero and a 2D Metroid would do me fine
  10. Forgot about the Fludd-less levels, they gave a welcome break and refreshed the game in parts. I'm in agreeance with the comment about the pointless "chase Shadow Mario" Shine missions. Chase him around the level, or race him or something or other. Something unique per level would have been nice.
  11. Didn't you know, spacecraft take forever to wake-up.
  12. Just got back into playing DKC Returns 3D on the 3DS, and it's certainly enlightened my mood for some more Kong action. Be great to play this on the big screen, and without the touch-pad for a change.
  13. Just spent an hour thinking of 3 competences that made little to no sense, but didn't undermine the company. And it wasn't proof read, had spelling mistakes and were not about my current employment.
  14. Bugger. Oh well, best of luck to all.
  15. I've never played this, and it's on both the 3DS and (soon) WiiU. Choices, choices. If there ever was a time for Nintendo to allow 1 purchase of a game and allow downloading it to 3DS and WiiU, this (well Super Mario Bros 3 should have been it) is it. Will only get the 1 license for it, unsure for what console though.
  16. The £5k won't be offered unless my application gets rejected, the unions are challenging to make sure everyone who doesn't remain once contracts end gets the compensation at the end. So even if i got offered the job, i wouldn't get the payoff until September (and in that case, they could still extend contracts again). I can't quit my job, even with the greviences i've got which i've got in writing in triplicate (i have a copy, managers have a copy and my rep has a copy) the job centre look at it as i've "quit" an available job. My Mum works for them, she keeps me in the know and what they look at. My only real choice is to fill in the application, and botch it so it will get rejected. And to see out my contract whilst hunting for a new job, if my job ends in March i'll take the money and live off that for a while before signing on. It's a tricky predicament, but cheers for the advice everyone.
  17. Basically, my contract ends in March. All those contracts ending in March were being offered compensation or a chance to re-apply for their own jobs. As it's renewals, no-one wants to do it so are taking the chance to leave with upto £5k in the back pocket. Out of 200 or so staff, 30 have re-applied which is not enough. It's the same predicament across the UK, no-one wants to work for a company which has had so many issues and problems over the course of 3 years (which i've put my issues in this thread over the months and years). So everyone was intending to take the money and leave for pastures new. The company, realising that they won't fill all the slots across the country (and having checked across the country whom may or may not be applying) are now refusing the compensation to anyone who doesn't apply for the vacancies. No-one wants to apply, but are feeling forced to do so in order to get this money. The thing is, if the job is offered you cannot refuse as if you were to not get employment elsewhere you couldn't get benefits. And they've changed their tune in even offering this, trying to find any reason as to not pay it (being cheap is what people are saying). Don't get me wrong, i want to work and am currently hunting down a new job elsewhere so i never have to come back here. Because i dislike this place (to the point being i contemplate sick leave and i have cried) and because all the jobs i've applied for i'm getting rejected, i feel i'm being forced to re-apply for this job that i simply don't ever want to come back to. And i don't particulary want to go on JSA, but feel that is my only way out sometimes.
  18. http://news.sky.com/story/1197822/rosetta-comet-chasing-crafts-wake-up-call Interesting indeed.
  19. Nope, if i apply and they offer the extension i can't turn it down as i wouldn't be entitled to claim any benefits as i would have refused employment, and because i refused the job they wouldn't give the bonus as it gives them all the cards. Basically, i'm screwed.
  20. Well well, didn't think it was possible but my employer has stooped to a new low. As i mentioned in an earlier post, they wanted us to re-apply for our jobs. And i may have said out of the number of staff applying, only 10-20% are re-applying with the rest taking the money and going. Now the new low arises. With only a small number of staff applying, they want all the roles being filled at any cost (and i mean any cost). So what they have done, is sent a memo around saying all staff on FTA contracts (which i and all of the above are on) have to apply for the jobs otherwise risk not getting any of the compensation or any benefits as in technical terms, you are refusing employment. Or as the Unions and everyone is seeing it, it's blackmail. They are blackmailing us to re-apply for our own jobs, which is disgraceful behavior. I would botch an application, but it's been said they may not look at the application and offer employment. I'm not in the best of moods today, worse than ever for a Monday.
  21. It's not one of the best Mario games, that title goes to Galaxy. Fludd to me felt out of place for Mario, more of a add-on to the game. Luigi's Mansion had a E-Gladd hoover, so Mario had a water gun as it were. The attachments were decent enough which made sections of the game more interesting. Shines were enjoyable to collect, but the Blue coins were a pain in the backside to get. Never did collect them all, and will never. Levels were interesting, but nothing compared to what 64 and Galaxy offered us.
  22. Was watching an episode of Power Rangers last night, either the Megazord has a secret (which isn't being secretive), Rita can mysteriously grow anything in radius of her wand. Or we need to worry about the Japanese. (Note, bad editing)
  23. I hope not, even with Sega having gone 3rd party since the demise of the Dreamcast. I've personally found that Sega just hasn't been the same since going down this route. Games are good, but they've not been the same. Playing the retro Sonic games on a Nintendo or XBox 360, yes they are good but not as a remember them. With Nintendo, i sure as hope they don't go third party. The Handheld market is virtually non-competitive with other developers. Nintendo's only competitor is the Vita, and sales certainly show that isn't doing as well as Sony want. Looking at other peoples opinions here, i'm in agreeance with some views. If it came to it, Nintendo should either combine a handheld with the home console. So you could take games like Zelda, Mario, Metroid etc including the virtual console on the move. Then when you get home, press a button transfer back over to the console and continue the game where you left off. With the handheld with it's screen becoming a second screen and controller for the console for say items or in-game menus without the need to jump through menus to find what you need. And you could still have the "off screen" play by a press of a button as it is at the present moment with the WiiU. No need for multiple controllers anymore, just the one simple controller for all needs. Or the other route, abandon the home console market and focus on the successful handheld market. As i mentioned earlier, it's completely uncontested from Microsoft and Sony, but the Smartphone market is catching up. Which is where you can focus on.
  24. I must of been one of the few people who liked this game for what it was, seeing as it was only my 2nd Donkey Kong game. And i didn't like this costing close to (at the time) £70-£80 brand new because of the expansion pack (and we moan about todays prices, the N64 games were £50 if not more new). Loved running around Kong Island unlocking all the different Kongs, can't remember the levels at all though.
  25. @bob, friendly accepted. I shall be arriving, raising hell and leaving.
