Nice one, cheers. Yeah, it instantly made me think of Mario Golf. And it turns out the Everybody's Golf series was originally developed by Camelot, so that'd be why. Anyway, now that I know which version to go for I'll definitely be getting this at some point in the near future.

I am loving Super Training. At first I was kind of like "hmm... this is a bit poo" but the more I use it, the more I like it. And it makes EV training so quick and straightforward. Great addition. Really wish they'd improve Pokémon breeding though. Not so much making it faster, the current system of having it tied to steps is fine I reckon. But what really annoys me is how fiddly it is. You're basically forced to focus 100% on breeding, instead of being able to continue catching/battling etc... It would be so much better if you could just keep your usual team on you, and not need to collect the eggs from the day care guy. They could get automatically put into a storage box (and if you had a Pokémon with Flame Body in there that'd still work too) then, when you're out and about doing other stuff you could get a Holo Caster call to inform you when an egg has hatched. Would be so awesome to return to a Pokémon Center and find your storage box full of newborn Pokémon.

Yeah, Vice City was amazing. I never played IV (and only played San Andreas briefly) but the impression I get from those who have, is that V is a big improvement. It definitely gets my seal of approval too. Hell, it's the game that made me buy a PS3 in the first place! Not yet, no. Do they have to be used within a certain time frame?Got too much going on as it is, so wouldn't be able to get into any of the free games at the moment anyway. I also don't see myself using PS+ on a "permanent" basis, so I'm not really in any hurry to try it.

I can see. Incidentally, I noticed no GTA V on your game/trophy list. Have you got it on the XBox, or is it just not your cup of tea?

So very tempted to watch that vid, but I'm going to try and avoid everything about this game now until launch. Already know it's going to be awesome (knew from the first reveal at E3 ) and I want as many surprises as possible when I start playing. That's the plan anyway. I imagine Nintendo will do a Direct on this at some point though, and that'll be the end of that.

You're probably the only one. I still haven't finished the game! Nope. And there are unlikely to be any I reckon. They would've produced a minuscule amount of units for this, what with it being such a niche title, so I don't reckon it's going to get the bargain big treatment. Instead it's probably going to get increasingly difficult to find a copy. You're not missing much though. Well, actually you're missing loads... loads and loads of hours playing this game and getting nowhere near to finishing it.

What was it? Either way, I look forward to struggling to catch it in a regular Pokéball.

I'm really starting to dig this whole trophy thing. Even though most of them are obtained for doing trivial/random stuff, it's still pretty cool collecting them. Anyway, I've got a question about Everybody's Golf (@Cookyman is no doubt the person to ask, judging by his sig ). Pretty interested in checking this game out, but I see that there are 2 versions on the Playstation Store, they only differ in price by a quid but the cheaper one appears to be the Complete Edition and is a much bigger download. Which is the better version? Yeah, I downloaded it a while back, awesome game. Have since picked up the full version on disc (which ShopTo are currently selling for £20) so now have access to all of the characters/modes. It uses the same save file as the F2P version too, so my 5 or so hours progress on that carried over.

Finally made it to the 20th match in Battle Maison, was so close to winning but just couldn't KO Nita's last Pokémon.

When's that extra money getting sent out by Rockstar? I still haven't bought an apartment yet.

Absolutely.I decided to try it (despite not liking "movie-games") and sure enough it was one of the most boring gaming experiences I've ever had. Actually struggled to finish the demo! Don't have a problem with this kind of genre emerging, but if the entire industry followed suit then I'd definitely be out of modern gaming for good. I just find it so mind-numbingly dull when the interactive aspect of video games gets watered-down like this and everything becomes so heavily scripted. I want to play games in my own style, not be forced to play in such a specific way. I understand that presentation and story are the focus with this kind of thing, but I don't find it compelling in the slightest. For me the only enjoyable parts were when you're able to float around as the spirit, purely because it gives you some tangible and dynamic control, allowing you to play in a less restricted manner, but I just don't think it's enough to make the overall product a rewarding experience.

Hahaha! Awesome. Seeing that is making me want to get the game right now.

Where not to save in Lumiose City (blue area): A patch is apparently in the works. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/ekjj/info/index.html *EDIT* LOL @ Google Translate:

Hello. Now that sounds interesting. I'm definitely interested in this game, but just can't see when I'm gonna get the chance to play it. Will probably end up leaving it leaving it until next year now. Always good to have something on the to-buy list though, as an anti-drought game. Anyhoo, keep those impressions coming people. : peace:

Holy Sheeeeeeet!! Actually feel bad posting this seeing as many people have never found/caught a shiny, but this is just unbelievable... I just caught another shiny Audino! Audino 1: Audino2: WTF?! 2 shiny Audino in the same day. And as if that wasn't awesome enough, the new one has also become my first Pokémon of "outstanding potential", with HP, Attack and Speed stats that "can't be beat"! :awesome: @Serebii, is there some kind of increased shiny chance in Friend Safari, or am I just having a ridiculously lucky Pokémon day? Nasty. But I suppose the good thing about that (same situation I've got now) is that you have a spare one to trade, for another shiny/decent 'mon.

Finally found a bagworm! If my calculations are correct (probably not ) then there are only 16 more creatures left to get: Bugs: Mole cricket (nov) Dung beetle (dec) Fish: Blowfish (nov) Footballfish (nov) Tuna (nov) Bitterling (dec) Oarfish (dec) Pond smelt (dec) Sea butterfly (dec) Stringfish (dec) Loach (mar) Diving: Horsehair crab (nov) Red king crab (nov) Sea cucumber (nov) Snow crab (nov) Spider crab (mar) It's annoying how there'll be just 2 things left to catch after December, but they won't be obtainable until March! Hmm... perhaps someone (who's not bothered about the effects of time travel) would volunteer to host their town in March, this year. So that people could visit and get those 2 a bit earlier. ;)

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
RedShell replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm not. Not after the Wind Waker keyring fiasco. I'd rather get my game early/on release, than get it late for the sake of a plastic treasure chest. -
Woohoo! Caught my first Pokémon X shiny! Shiny Audino!: That brings my overall shiny Pokémon collection to 4, not including the ones you get from events/a couple I got from the GTS (which I believe were dodgy anyway ). The ones I've caught in previous games are Parasect, Foongus and Scyther (from an egg ). You're welcome. Seeing as I "helped" you, could you tell me where you think the best Exp earning spot is? I was using Victory Road, but have now switched to the Friend Safari, where I have a normal area with Audino (hence the Shiny ) which have been giving me just over 6,000 Exp per battle, using Lucky Egg and Exp Power Lv. 3. This is great and all, but the problem is bloody Teddiursa keeps showing up too, and it only gives 1,000 Exp. So annoying when I've just activated the 3 minute Exp Power and keep seeing them instead of Audino. So yeah, any better spots to level up? It's in a post-story location of the game and is basically just another place where you can go to catch Pokémon. The difference being that the areas you get to run around in are somehow generated from your 3DS friend list, so the more codes you have on your system, the more areas you can choose from. Also, it doesn't matter if the person who the friend code belongs to has Pokémon X/Y, their friend code will still generate an area of the safari.

Yeah, I wasn't referring to how you got the game so early (but now that you mention it, since when was The Hut quicker than ShopTo?! ), rather how you managed to beat the entire game, i.e: all gyms and the Elite 4 in a day! I'm guessing you didn't sleep.

It's not so much feeling entitled to multiple endings, just that I was a bit disappointed with the one we got. And seeing as how multiple endings are a thing (especially in this genre) I just assumed that would be the case. There were many scenes that had much greater impact, like the one I mentioned in my previous post, which actually got me choked up. That's what made the ending seem really flat to me, comparing it to other moments of the story. But at the same time I get where you're coming from, and I can understand why they went with the ending they did, but it doesn't change my impression of it.
-
@Serebii, I know you're the Pokémon Master and all that, but how in the flying fuck did you manage this?!:
-
Damn, that ain't good.I've already beaten the game (defeated the Elite 4 yesterday) but will have to try and remember not to save in Luminose City when checking out the post-story stuff. Cheers for the heads up. I was just thinking that you were already on my friend list. Will delete that code and add your new one then.

Because you're downloading Super Mario 3D World from the eShop, right?... RIGHT?!

Finished this game tonight, 13 hours playtime. Overall it was a pretty good experience, the presentation and story were absolutely amazing, but the actual gameplay was nothing special in my opinion. On top of that, it got repetitive quickly. Was funny when the game itself acknowledged this, with Ellie complaining about having to get on the fucking pallet again. I was slightly disappointed with the ending too, thought that I'd got the "bad ending" and that it would be possible to do things differently at the end to get a different one, but it turns out that's not the case. The great and emotional scene beforehand where Ellie talks to Joel about his daughter, made the ending even more disappointing. Another thing that was seriously bloody annoying about the game was its save system. What a crock of shit! Not only could you not tell when it was saving, it frequently didn't save properly, and I'd find myself having to recollect items that I'd already picked up on my previous session, before "saving"! Anyway, I still enjoyed it, but don't reckon I'll be playing new game+. Is the multiplayer worth checking out though? Not tried that yet.

To activate StreetPass you need to make sure your wireless switch is on, and then click on the icon next to the blue internet one on the top of the touch screen. The Street/SpotPass options can be found in there.
