  1. Go on my son! Shame he won't be in the story mode though. Anyway, if this follows a similar localization schedule to the first game, I guess we shouldn't expect it until early next year.
  2. Heh, sorry about that. Gotta keep it real though, and despite there being a lot to like about this game, there's no denying it can be a goddamn chore to play. It's a shame too, as the story was getting really cool last time I was playing it, and I definitely want to progress and see what happens, but the game wants to make that process as annoying as possible it seems.
  3. I tried to get back into this yesterday, after another break from it. Want to just continue with the story, but the next chapter requires you to be level 30, and I was only level 26. Got up to 28 last night after some grinding and sub quests, but leveling up is such a drag in this game. Hopefully when/if I get to the next chapter, it'll give me the motivation to continue.

  5. Seeing as I only use MKTV footage now (don't capture the actual GPs anymore) there's no results screen to include. But TBH I'd rather leave that out anyway, as it'd just add extra length to the vids, and I want to keep them as condensed and snappy as possible. Don't worry, MKTV has been kind to you. Yeah, the highlight vid for last week is ready to render, just waiting for the results.

  7. The highlight vid from last week's GPs is now complete and will hopefully be online soon. BTW, if everyone taking part in the league each week could let me know of any particularly epic/funny moments that happen, that would be great. Whether it be something that happens to you, or something that you spot from another player. Post about it in here afterwards and there's a chance I'll feature it as "highlight of the week" in the next video. : peace:
  8. Absurd! I mean really, what's wrong with the frame? The frame is totally great. The frame is so cool. The frame is just about the greatest thing ever to exist. Not that it was my idea or anything...
  9. Finished the first game recently. Definitely ready for more of the same! Really hope Yangus is in this one too though, such a great character. Jessica and Maya can return as well... *Puff-Puff*

  11. It still suffers from it! Admittedly the servers are way more stable now, so it's not as much of an issue. But if you use rest mode the game loses connection and you have to wait for it to connect again. Also, what happens in the future when the servers are gone? Not that many people will care, but this is still a crappy practice that needs to stop. As for SFV, I'm definitely interested in picking it up, but more than happy to wait for a price drop, even more so after learning of this.

  16. I'm probably not even halfway through yet then. I must say though, having access to a Skell (even a non-flying one) has made such a huge difference to the exploration aspect of the game. Had no idea it was possible to...

  18. It's pretty crappy TBH. Just a bunch of weapons based on Slimes that are weaker than ones you can acquire in-game after almost no time at all. Unless I'm missing something and they have some other use...
  19. No problemo. True. I think there are quite a few alternative ways to travel though. I came across a few player created bridges, and also managed to get hold of a jet pack at one point, so I could just leave materials at the drop point for the bus to collect, and then fly back to town! :awesome: Yeah, adds a bit too much pressure for me on those slide puzzles though, I'm awful at those. I kept paying to auto-complete them, so I wouldn't hold up the queue. Anyway, glad to hear that you might be picking the game up. Hopefully we get info on the price/release date soon.

  22. I'm loving the voice acting in this, they've got a fantastic range of accents going on. Every time a new character appears I look forward to hearing how they'll speak. The Cockney weapon shop guy is hilarious "Be lucky!" Was pretty amusing to hear a Scouser at one point too. I usually switch to Japanese audio whenever the option is available, but I definitely won't be doing that with this game. As for the gameplay, early days yet but it seems pretty fun. Finding it a bit tricky to focus on those gate keeping enemies, I always seem to end up behind them, despite the lock-on. But other than that it's all good. Action packed and very smooth. :awesome:
  23. Really enjoyed last night's beta test. It's a shame the servers went a bit wonky halfway through, as I was absolutely captivated by what I was seeing and hearing. I am completely in love with the presentation of this game! Some pics I took: Dat lighting! Seriously, TTC features the most impressive lighting I've ever seen in a video game! It's just astonishing how good it can look, but more importantly it really enhances the feel of the game. There were times when I was inside some of the island structures, surrounded by the glow of the lantern (in areas that would otherwise be pitch-black) digging away and exploring, yet the feeling of tranquility was just incredible. Don't think I've ever felt so relaxed while playing a game before! There were moments in Journey that produced a similar effect, but what I experienced in TTC was something else entirely. Can definitely see this becoming my go-to chill out game. Of course there's also some action to be enjoyed, if you go looking for it... or not, as this vid shows: I did encounter a few issues last night though, one where I got stuck in the digging animation (and had to restart the software) and a few occasions where the screen would go black (that also happened when I tried to join @Hero\-of\-Time, what did you make of it? I'm going to assume it's not really you're cup of tea, but you never know.
