According to VGCHARTZ it sold 700,000. They're notoriously inaccurate. They say Red Steel sold 660,000, the Wii's launch equivalent but I'm pretty sure it sold over 1 million units.

Given a choice between this or F-Zero I'd pick F-Zero every time. Besides Diddy Kong Racing is too similar to MK8, so I'd doubt it'll happen and MK8 Nintendo says they've long term plans for. A DKR game would distract from that.

I haven't watched this yet but already everywhere I've heard it was a huge disappointment. I'll reserve my judgement until I do so.

This console is a joke now as far as 3rd party support goes. It's officially the worst console ever in that regard. We don't get virtually any games and when we do they're either gimped, delayed or missing features. To Hell with this! Like Watch Dogs we've yet to see a single cell of Wii U footage.

Just @Mokong was talking about Hurling this evening and this is the bruise I was talking about. That's what a sliotar will do to you at full force. That's nothing compared to some of the injuries they get. It was worse a few years back before helmets became mandatory. I remember a friend of mine years ago got a swipe of the hurley in the mouth, broke his jaw and nearly every tooth and his jaw wired shut for over 6 months. It was the edge of the hurley which made it all the more damaging. It was horrific but a complete accident. It's incidents like that that caused the rules to be changed. That and law suits. Tipperary v Offaly is on Sky Sports 3 at 7.00 p.m this Saturday. You should watch it. I expect Tipperary to walk the game but it'll give ye an idea of what it's like.

It would be nice if there was a button configuration option. I'm happy with the gamepad and the pro controller but I tried out the remote and nunchuk today and it's awful. I want to switch C for B and vice versa but because I can't I won't ever be using that control method again.

I'd say so, I hope so. I'd love for it to do well but I just can't see it happening. We'll be expected to pay full whack while it'll probably be reduced on the other platforms at that stage or they'll have some GOTY Edition announced for the others. I just can't see it ending well. If it did by some miracle do well it could help convince some third parties to come back...maybe.

I'm not paying for any DLC. Least of all costumes. It's bull$h1t in my eyes as it's blatantly ripping people off. How much effort would these costumes take? They're just copying assets from existing games. They're probably already done sitting there waiting to try and cash in on them. Not me, I depise this practise(that's if it's confirmed that we have to pay for them). Is Sakurai going to charge us for alternate costumes in Smash Bros.? No, I didn't think so.
