Ah but you're forgetting how NSMBU was really innovative and pushed the gamepads features by placing platforms within the game. Start as you mean to continue and they did.
-
I had NSMBU in mind when I was talking about them being lazy. I doubt very much that game spent 3 years in development. There's a reason that was ready for launch and there's no way it's development team was the size of GTA 5. Their individual marketing campaigns was another contrast in expenditure. And what lazy green effort followed it shortly out the door that was essentially DLC with a slapped on €40 price tag?
-
Yeah, that's another reason I have little to no time for indies bar a few. If I wanted SNES games, I'd buy a SNES.
-
We all know why Nintendo are going with 2D games. It's their bread & butter, nobody does them better but it's also Nintendo being cheap. It's much easier & quicker to churn these out than large scale 3D games. Weigh them up, cost vs reward. NSMBU against say GTA 5?
-
All these 2D games but there's no Metroid game. I would love to see a Super Metroid style game. I'd take it any day of a leap year over a first person version. That would be number 1 on my wishlist.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Wii replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Pfffttt..... besides missing the face, they didn't even notice the butterflies. Amateurs! I can exclusively reveal that the next Zelda is called: The Legend Of Zelda: Butterfly Bottler. On a serious note though, that clip is perfection. There is 1 flaw, however, it's just nit picking but when Link rounds the corner on the horse(doesn't look like Epona), the shadowing isn't right until he reaches the bridge. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

I was waiting for them to do this. I'll watch it later & see if they noticed anything that I didn't. The football is on at the minute. -
If you take out the games from last year, the likes of Bayonetta 2, X, Yarn Yoshi, Smash, etc. then the games announced this year aren't very impressive. Miyamotos games are dire, don't care for Mario Party, Captain Turd or Mario Maker. Splatoon might be good, we'll have to wait and see. Same with Kirby. Plus most of the games aren't out until next year. Zelda, God knows if that makes 2015. Other than Zelda there was no huge game announced and I really wanted to see more of it. Where's Metroid, F-Zero? Couldn't they have shown something from the new Fatal Frame? Mustn't be ready. Starfox wasn't ready....less said the better about that. VC, still waiting. Still there was a lot to be positive about. Treehouse was brilliant. Easily the best aspect of E3. The presentation was good, great opening with Reggie and Iwata. Robot Chicken references were great too. The Smash tournament was terrific. X looks amazing, Bayonetta 2 coming along nicely plus delighted we're getting the original. Warming to Hyrule Warriors, so much better than it's initial reveal and it's a fine homage to the series. There are some huge gaping holes though. Everyone's ignoring that nothing from 3rd parties was announced bar Devil's Third and that's rough as hell. I'm a Wii U only gamer and I'm not impressed with that situation. They didn't talk about that at all. I didn't see anybody press them about that and what they're doing to fix it. Bar Smash, I don't think there's anything else for me this year.

I want it for free instead of this game.
-
Sneaky. On the quick start up screen, they'd put this as the first pick box. Nearly fell for it and clicked it. Oh, it's free, that's nice. I'll get on it so even though I already have it on DS. Can I Metroid: Zero Mission or Minish Cap instead please? Nevermind, it downloaded automatically.

Pic Of The Day "Pic of the day. This is quite a line-up of characters for the gaming world. I mean, it's amazing enough that Mario can fight Pikachu. I hope you enjoy this truly unique celebration!!"

Nintendo Treehouse crew says goodbye
-
Really should have bought myself some GoPro IPO shares.
-
She ran off before she finished what she was going to say. She was meant to say "What do you want to do at E3 next year.....about the complete absence of third parties"?
-
I thought when I saw that, that my next birthday cake should look like that.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

The level of detail is phenomenal. I've been watching the trailer over and over for little clues and hints like the pattern on Links shawl as he throws it away. But I'm only noticing now that Link pulls the trigger on the arrow(almost like pulling the pin from a grenade) before he fires it. -

Codename: S.T.E.A.M. - Strike Team Eliminating the Alien Menace

First images. Right, I've had enough of this shit. I know some of these images aren't loading, I've been trying to edit them on the Wii U but it's having a fart attack. The Wii browser is an absolute C###! I swear if the gamepad wasn't so expensive I'd have bounced it off the wall by now. If you want to see them, just go here: http://nintendoeverything.com/first-code-name-s-t-e-a-m-screenshots/ I can't be dealing with this POS anymore. It's not my connection, I think it's the Wii U itself. I tried deleting cookies and resetting. When I reload the browser it brings up a bit of the page then goes back to a snails pace before the page is fully loaded. Anyone know the problem and solution please? It's like the memory is full. If I switch between tabs it constantly has to reload, closing tabs takes ages as well. -
"Diving in", "going deep". Were those clues?

This game is on Treehouse right now. It's very interesting.

I know I was thinking one of the dungeon items will be a weed whacker or a lawn mower. Can just hear the jingle as I open the chest. If only I could photoshop. -
That fella playing Smash on 3DS right now is so bad.
-
Yeah, they looked horrendous. This is what Miyamoto has been working on all this time and what's worse, these were to highlight the gamepad? Not his finest effort by a long shot. That robot giant is utter pants. No way they make retail, there's no depth to them, eShop perhaps, I wouldn't expel a fart for them though. Starfox no doubt will get better but it clearly wasn't ready to have been shown at all this year.

F### off with that scarf. Someone strangle Zero with that thing.
