  1. I know. But this game is rather different on a number of points so actually thought this was the case here - also since catching is a bit different and grants every Pokémon the same amount.
  2. Ah, I see. I thought the EXP was equal no matter what but that is only from catching. Well then.
  3. Why bother having the other one in front? Everyone gets the same amount of EXP, regardless of them being in battle or not so you can just have PIkachu in front all the time to take out 90 % of the trainers in the game.
  4. If you have some Premium Passes, you can do more each day. I have 9 in my Bag so I'll just do them ASAP over the weekend.
  5. It's enough to just enter the raid (i.e. give it your Raid Pass). So you can just enter it and go out of it 10 times, I think.
  6. It works with non-Shiny? Then I'll bet my money that it's the shiny nature of the Charmander that causes the game to break. Can you try other shinies (that you don't mind losing)? DLC for a Pokémon game?
  7. Are you playing two players by yourself for that to work? Does that grant more Exp? Do you plan getting all 150 Pokémon to level 100?
  8. Ugh. This Special Research is easily the worst one yet. I thought having to use 108 Berries to catch Pokémon was tedious but at least it was doable within reasonable time. For this one, I had to find a Ditto by finding a Field Research which took me three days to find, I have to evolve a Scyther later on and only have 13 Candy for that and I don't see any Scyther in the wild, and then I have to catch an Aerodactyl, which is found by finding a Field Research. If you don't find that Field Research before it's gone, you can not complete this Quest. Furthermore, if you don't get it done before the Kanto event ends, finding some Anorith, Omanyte, Kabuto, Lileep, Slugma, Gulpin, Grimer etc. is going to be a pain. I'm up to step 4 which is easy enough - find some Magnemite and walk 12 km to get the remaining 4 candy for my buddy Lotad.
  9. Bought that Magikarp as well. I have not spent much money in the game as I keep getting PokéBalls from battles and thus, I have just bought some revives and potions.
  10. Found the Switch starter pack of this for the equivalent of £35 and tempted to buy it. But with it already hitting that price, I suspect it will be even cheaper in January.
  11. I called him Ursula, because he has no voice. And because I hate coming up with names in games.
  12. Physical edition of the game has been confirmed to come out here in Europe as well. The game has been postponed to January 31st and it is priced at $14.99 / €14.99 for each pack of two figures. The remaining two figures can be purchased as DLC. Source
  13. Found a Chansey on Route 5 yesterday. It gave 795 EXP! That was nice. Was looking for an Abra and a Growlithe (both of which I also found). Then I made a mistake of trading my Lvl 22 Geodude for a new Geodude, thinking it would be stronger or at least grew faster. I got an Alolan Geodude... frick. Before quitting yesterday I defeated Surge and got my third badge after about 5 hours' playtime. I like the game but it feels a bit tedious after a small while and I'm not quite sure if the "no battling before catching" is good or bad. I kinda like it but then again, it feels a bit cheap to level up my Abra without ever using it. The game is really gorgeous, so clean and colourful and nice to look at.
  14. I'm i my on part 2 but I can see that some of the later quests are going to be a pain to complete if not done soon so will focus on it during this week.
  15. I've played it as well, and some of my colleagues are playing it. Never reached further than the fourth dungeon bit haven't put more than 10 hours into it. I'm trying to unlock all abilities before going further into it but I often fail.
  16. It's going to take some time, though. You only get Sinnoh Stone from Research Breakthroughs, and you can only get one of those a week. I don't know if you're guaranteed to get one, though. There are 22 Pokémon that can be evolved to a Gen 4 Pokémon but not all of them are available yet. I need more candy. Hadn't imagined that it would need 100 Candy to evolve them so I haven't got enough for a large number of them. :/ Did a quick Candy count of all with an evolution in Gen 4 (though not all are available yet): Some of those are unfortunately rather rare.
  17. That shouldn't be a problem accountwise, you just need to change your country in My Nintendo for that profile. Only thing I see to take into considerations is the charger and power supply.
  18. Agreed. But I'm interested in whether this actually could be a good game for the veterans as well.
  19. Yeah but it's only for the US. I'm more interested in what's in store for Europe.
  20. Surprisingly high scores. But I want a verdict from a true Pokémon fan rather than random reviewers. I get a review copy on Friday when it's out. Looking forward to trying it out myself.
  21. In celebration of the release of Pokémon Let's Go, Kanto Pokémon will appear more frequently for the next week or so. Again. Please stop with the Kanto Pokémon, Niantic. We already have them - or try with the regionals at least. Also... can't seem to find "Catch 5 bug type Pokémon" so I haven't caught Nincada yet. It's getting a bit frustrating.
  22. This makes me sad. I know he didn't actively do anything new but watching a Marvel movie and spotting him there was always a highlight. Wonder if he made it to Avengers 4.
