1. Now wash your hand.
2. You can even stand on his hand while he's snoozing and he'll helpfully lift you on to his stomach if you wait long enough. Or climb a tree and use the paraglider to slowly lower yourself on to his stomach. Just don't drop. That's probably the biggest thing I like about this game. Most of the time, there's more than one solution to a problem.
3. My Game & Watch Gallery Advance file disagrees. G&W Mario Bros. is a fun game. Better than the arcade one anyway.
4. Enemies in the Major Test of Strengths will totally one shot you without serious armor and a massive amount of hearts though. Didn't stop me from doing it with 5 hearts though. Not to mention a certain shrine in the bottom right of the world. No amount of preparation will help you there.
5. You should see me hold a Wii Remote, I shake all over the place so hard, I need a stability update! @Dcubed will back me up on that. Have you tried turning the sensitivity down? It's what I do. I know Splatoon 2 has that option.
6. Methinks you've been spending too much time on GAF.
7. Could be a clever joke. There is an NPC, claiming he's got the 'Master Torch'
8. Second paragraph, dude. How do you go from calling Komala 'adorable' and then in the next paragraph, calling the design atrocious. Also Serebii! You trying to tell me there's a section in Sun/Moon where you're running around, collecting Komalas? You're meant to be the living Pokemon encyclopedia here!
9. I'm really not digging some of the redesigns... It's not bad, but compared to the original art, it looks a bit... generic. Still, it is Radiant Historia. Secretly, one of the best DS RPG's.
10. Stufful, right? It's meant to be based off a Teddy Bear. I agree with you, not a good looking Pokemon. It's evolution's Pokedex entry is hella disturbing though.
11. The problem with comparing graphics is that it's completely subjective. The only way you can be fair is to compare actual graphical quality with no consideration for art style (For which I feel is far more important) The problem there is that those graphically intensive games tend to look pretty samey and realistic.
12. You can really tell who are the oldies when it comes to aiming these days. Gyro controls are one of the only things I actually like about Splatoon! Use the sticks for big dramatic movements and the gyro for fine-tuning. Simple!
13. My Charizard has a Grass move, doesn't make it a Grass type. That's called good coverage. It's a good idea to have another Pokemon with a backup move in case your actual water type faints. Also, Midnight Lycanroc is an awesome design, way more interesting than another cute puppy Pokemon, long overdue a werewolf style Pokemon. Shame it's absolutely atrocious, battle-wise.
14. We've all been there. You're playing a JRPG of some kind and you're presented with a choice, it's probably a Yes or No choice. Naturally, it's bound to affect the fate of everyone involved. Except, no, it doesn't. Not one bit. If you select the "No", you're either constantly asked the same question, completely ignored (Golden Sun loves this one) or in some cases, slapped with a Game Over (These normally show up when you make an incredibly stupid decision). Either way, the plot ain't progressing until you agree to go along with it. So, I'm curious. Are there any Japanese RPG's which have a choice that actually is a choice? Because I am coming up with squat. I specifically ask for Japanese ones because Western RPG's tend to favour choice that actually does stuff to the plot. So those are too easy. Failing that, how about games that mock the whole "Choice" mechanic these games don't really have? The above screenshot being a great example. It's from... surprise, surprise... Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. And it's not the only time... No hasty decisions, now... The previous PMD game, Blue Rescue Team, also pokes fun at it.
15. On the plus side, the PC versions cheat options make a 12 hour run much more achievable. Chocobo hot and cold was strangely relaxing. It made a great minigame to break up the usual gameplay. The Chocographs were executed well. Giving you an image which you had to find on the world map. So now we know where Breath of the Wild got that idea from. The only issue I had with all of the Chocobo stuff was getting Zidane's Ultimate Weapon, uhh, Ultima Weapon... It's the only Chocobo chest that has absolutely no indication it's there. No Chocograph picture, no bubbles in the ocean, not a thing. Doesn't help that it only appears after Disc 4 as well. (Oh yeah, the PC version has no Disc switching, forgot to mention that.) But that's a very small part, the Chocobo sidequests were all enjoyable. Like you said, the thought of doing all of it in one sitting is very daunting. But doing it now and again throughout the game is very enjoyable.
16. I think you've figured out where I'm going with this... Of course! What else could it be? Final Fantasy IX is a traditional RPG in the... Huh? You were expecting a more recent game? Nah, I have no idea why you'd think that. Anyway, Final Fantasy IX is a traditional RPG in the long running Final Fantasy series. It originally came out for the Playstation in 2001. I, however, played the PC port that came out last year. They are both essentially the same game, but the PC version has some quality-of-life improvements. A bit of a recap of my history with Final Fantasy... Back in the GBA days, I played my first ever Final Fantasy, the GBA remake of Final Fantasy. I enjoyed it and went on to play Final Fantasy II. I enjoyed that too, even if it was a little borked. Then I played the DS remake of FF III. So I've been playing through each mainline Final Fantasy game in order for the first time. 2 years ago, I played through Final Fantasy VIII. I posted my thoughts on it here. This led to a... discussion between @Sheikah and I. Actual footage of our discussion. And then @Jonnas said this. No pressure then, let's get started. The story follows a dude called Zidane. He works with a group called Tantalus, a band of bandits pretending to be a theater troupe. Their latest job involves kidnapping Princess Garnet. She's the Princess of Alexandria. It goes pretty smoothly, but it turns out Garnet is in the middle of doing a runner anyway, which simplifies matters. Shame their Airship gets shot down, forcing them to crash land into Evil Forest, which sounds like a lovely place to crash into. So why does Garnet want to escape her kingdom? Could there be a sinister plot in the making? Can Zidane stop all this possible evil-ness and save the day? Don't look at me, I'm not spoiling the story. I quite liked the story here, it's definitely more of a medieval setting that most Final Fantasy stories are known for, and I feel it works well. Especially after the more Steampunk settings of the two previous games. The characters are quite different to each other, from cocky Zidane to far too serious Steiner to "Clearly here for Comic Relief" Quina. Which is definitely an improvement over unlikable Squall, and utterly pointless Selphie from VIII. That said, the main villain, Kuja, might just be the lamest FF villain so far. He starts off like a typical, "I want ultimate power" bad guy. But near the end of the... actually, better spoiler tag this.
17. Anyone who was expecting anything else was only fooling themselves. That map is so unintuitive though. Can't be helped, but still...
18. Yeesh, that team was just all sorts of wrong for the job. Now I finally get why Arcanine has gotten a surge in popularity recently. I never seem to struggle with them. BTW, older videos don't work because of the update that changed Parting Shot. Seeing as the replays work like Smash Bros, they don't work anymore.
19. Yeah, you just get plonked at your previous save when you finish. It all depends on how many memories you have left to find. Which are worth seeing anyway.
20. It's getting all the memories, just looked it up. Also have to do all 4 Divine Beasts, but that was obvious. I guessed at the memories. And it was confirmed when I saw the ending.
21. Ganon all beaten. 97 shrines, purposely left one memory out to see the crappy ending. Will give impressions in the gaming diary sometime in the future. I definitely have a lot to say about this though.
22. The only one that comes to mind are the two Mewtwonites. It was quite recent, so it might be possible to still get them. (Code is M2DESCENT)
