Tilt Controls!? TILT CONTROLS!? Bloody Americans! Game ruined forever! Guess we're doing randoms then.
-
I'm using @Dcubed's. 0401-9926-5412
-
In other news, Auto-Accelerate is amazing and everyone should use it. There are absolutely no downsides to using it.
-
Not sure, but in Mario Kart 8, you couldn't do that. I doubt it'd be any different here.
-
I'm in. Who's gonna host though? Or are we just gonna jump in with you when you go play with randoms?
-
Yes, you can. You can even play Japanese DS games.

OK, quick impressions after two GP's. 1. Double items suck, the Boo item mitigates that a little, but expect to see a lot more uncontested 1st place cruising online. The threat of a coin showing up is not that big a deal anymore, which means you can get away with a lot more. 2. The wheel is really nice, very comfortable, so motion controls I will continue to use. 3. Pink Boost is nice, can't see it happening that often, but it's nice. 4. The Boo item uses the Mario Power Tennis voice and is incredibly obnoxious to look at. Naturally, I love it. 5. The glider parts have revised stats, they don't just affect Weight and Acceleration anymore. If you have a favourite setup, you might have to rethink which glider you use. 6. I'm not sure about this one, but I think item distribution has been fiddled with a bit. I've gotten a total of five Bob-omb's in 1st place so far. EDIT: Also, why do Mii's have ABSOLUTELY NO FACIAL EXPRESSION? It's really creepy. No matter what happens, they have the normal facial expression throughout. See my sig? That's impossible to do now.

There's a lesson mode in the full game that shows you some tricks to get combos. Also, @S\.C\.G and I still had fun despite @Dcubed destroying us all the time.

An LMSPS4? That'll go nice with his LMSN2DSLL

The April International Challenge started today. Kinda caught me by surprise. I only registered yesterday, the last day of registration. Because of that, I didn't have much time to think of imaginative team switch ups. So I went with old faithful, mostly. Tapu Koko Buzzwole Kartana Rock Head Alolan Marowak (I don't think I'll ever not use him, except for Singles, where I switch to Lightning Rod) Tapu Bulu Alolan Raichu The only difference is that I swapped Nihilego with Alolan Rai. After @GenericAperson battered me with one, I decided to train one. Only just got it to Level 100 (Training takes ages in this game) Seeing as I know it's doubles format this time, I thought it'd make a great teammate for Tapu Koko. It must be working, because I won 80% of today's fights! Naturally, I expect it all to fall apart tomorrow. Anyway, videos! LWXG-WWWW-WWW6-Z2TW This fight started not great for me. So when things looked bleak, I decided to open with one hell of a weird manuever. Did it work? I dunno, find out yourself. S2UG-WWWW-WWW6-Z2T5 I suppose this fight had to happen sooner or later. There's no fighting destiny, after all. It's the ultimate Pokemon battle. Red Vs Blue has nothing on this! Prepare yourself for... Me VS Me in a Purple Shirt Yep, found someone with the same face and hairstyle as me. He's flamboyant to boot and his Pokemon are just as fancy. Who will win!? Does anyone care!? Will I stop bumping this thread every time I enter an online competition!?

Well, no-one's ever gonna get one of those. It'll be outta there as soon as you see one.
-
Nintendo confirmed they won't be holding a live conference. Yeah, yeah, about five people are surprised at this point. But still.
-
So yeah, this just dropped. Not gonna lie, it looks really nice. 28th July is the North America date, BTW. Miitopia is also confirmed for the same date.

He is kinda completely mental at puzzle games. His sis is pretty close to him as well. I basically win whenever he messes up. But that last match was nutso. Normally, I'm psyched to get a Tetris. But doing that after he got a double Tetris, so I mitigate it and both of ours gets dumped on you felt particularly mean. Would do it again in a heartbeat. If anyone is up for some matches tomorrow or over the weekend, I'll be up for that. (Although with Mario Kart out...)

We're in a room now. Sorry for the wait. Go to Free Play, choose DCubed and enter a strangely familiar password. It's 4444
-
In that case, how about 10:30 ish? I'll get DCubed to set up a room.
-
Great, @Dcubed said he'd play as well. So, because I'll be using @Ugh first aid's Switch, it'd be great if @Dcubed hosted, as I don't think she has added you yet.
-
If the full game is on the Japanese eShop, then you can buy and play the Japanese version. Whether you can change the language to English is a different matter.
-
Yeah, this game rocks for Multiplayer. And I've only played 2-player with @Dcubed. I've not won yet. And I learned that I suck more at Puyo Puyo than I do at Tetris. which is impressive. Fusion mode is hella weird though. That'll take some practice. Anyone fancy online tonight some time?

It's a strange request, huh? Take that away and you take away a lot of motivation for single players. I remember when I played Melee and got super excited whenever the "A new foe has appeared" screen showed up. And with Brawl, Subspace Emissary was made even more fun whenever an unlockable character appeared. And then you were normally thrust into a stage with them. A great way of trying them out. Smash 4 still had unlockable characters, but there were a lot less, which was a shame. (Also didn't help that I may have spoiled a few of them for myself. Damn you, Bowser Jr. and Duck Hunt Duo Leak...) Of course, if Smash Switch is a Smash 4 Deluxe, then I won't mind as much. But a new Smash with no secret characters would make me a bit sad.

Great, no-one cares about Gold Mario anyway. What about vehicle parts?
-
Depends on whether @Dcubed gets his. @Ashley, important question. Are the Mii's unlocked from the start? I need to get my silly Mii voice ASAP.
-
I've started playing this as well. (You've probably noticed that though) Honestly, I'm not sure how people can stand playing this by themselves. After the first set of fights, there's a whole bunch of barriers thrown up to impede decent progress. Using Gem Apples to get better weapons? Now you don't have enough to open the next boss. Typical microtransaction based bull really. The only way this becomes even remotely tolerable is the fact I've been playing the entirety of this game with @Ugh first aid. Only the host uses up Vigour, so whenever one of us runs out, we just switch to the other person. So that's not an issue. And because she mains Doctor Healmore (Computer AI sucks with Doctor Healmore, BTW), I don't have to use up my Apples buying equipment for that class. In return, she doesn't have to bother with Sword Hero stuff. So I'd only recommend this game if you have friends.

No you won't. -
NO! EFF OFF! You leave my Monster Hunter alone! I like having more than 10 things to fight.
