Right, here are the results and table. No screenshots because of a mixture of disconnects and Battle mode. @Vileplume2000 has been temporarily removed due to Gray's Anatomy binge. No, hang on. That can't be right... Oh right, 3 week absence. The obvious change is @viceview51 and @punio75 switching places. An interesting tidbit. Everyone's (Those who took part) averages went up... Except for @BowserBasher and me. I tell you, they have no respect for the higher ups. @RedShell continues his Top 3 streak for the 3rd week in a row. BowserBasher has sent me a theme, but I may hold it off for a week if RedShell sends me certain things before Sunday. No rush, we could always do it the week after if you don't have the time. Either way, the theme will be posted by Sunday.

Looks like good mental mean-spirited fun! It'd be nice to play online, but I get the feeling this game won't exactly light the charts on fire. Might be hard to find other people.
-
Well, I don't know about you lot but @Dcubed and I thoroughly enjoyed itemless coin runners. Where 73 points gets you in last place. Results will be posted later on tonight. Or tomorrow. When I get the laptop to myself.

It's fine if you don't have it, just let me know in advance next time. So I can suggest an alternative.

@viceview51 OI! Use the correct setup next GP!

If you can find me a high quality European version of that thumbnail, go right ahead and let me know. Get me Melody Motorway while you're at it. I've tried to find one, so very much.

Obligatory Still, you reminded me to post alternate parts. There's no alternate part for the Bone Rattler. Off-Road or Triforce Tires have the same stats as Retro Off-Road. Super Glider is available from the start.

If someone supplies me with some QR codes for a selection of those Mii's, I'd be happy to make a theme for that. I'm rubbish at making those kinds of Mii's. I've already got some perfect courses in mind.

You don't know how tempted I was to throw the theme out for a Fresh Prince one... How would that even work though? Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Group 1 @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @martinist @punio75 @viceview51 @RedShell @S.C.G Still to declare @Dcubed @Sméagol @Nicktendo

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Glen-i replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The physics are the best thing about this game. I said this somewhere before, but BOTW shows a promising baseline for a future game. Just touch up the combat quirks, make the world not so massive, have some actual good dungeons and there's potential. I've fully completed every Zelda to date, but couldn't be bothered after around 70 shrines, called it a day and went to beat down Ganon. If I have to go finish the game because I'm bored, then I can't really say the game is as good as everyone else thinks it is. It's the ultimate gaming sin in my opinion. -
Monster Hunter Stories is a Turn-Based RPG that released on the 3DS last month. (Last year in Japan) It's a spin-off of the Monster Hunter series, which is normally more of an Action game. The game follows you, apparently. You're a resident of Hakum Village, which is populated with people known as Monster Riders. As the name suggests, they befriend monsters from birth and ride them around, doing all sorts of good deeds. Naturally, you can't wait to join that gig. But little Hakum Village gets attacked by a nasty Nargacuga with an ominous purple aura. But you can't do much because you're too young and it's a hulking big monstrosity that can shred you to death. A year later, you start your Rider initiation and get your own Baby Velocidrome friend, that you most certainly won't replace with a bigger, stronger monster later. Naturally, finding that Nargacuga and exacting swift revenge is the name of the game. Can you beat the Nargacuga? Will you be able to find a baby monster that isn't incredibly cute? And will you question the fact you're basically stealing babies from their parents and forcing them to fight with you? Probably not, it didn't affect Pokemon... The story isn't anything amazing, but it oozes charm, thanks to the great dialogue and fun characters. Just like Monster Hunter then. I'll get the obvious thing about Gameplay out of the way, it smacks of Pokemon. You nick eggs, hatch them and then add use them in your party to help you beat the crap out of other monsters. It feels completely natural, what with Monster Hunter having a smorgasbord of well-designed Monsters to use in a game like this, from hyper little Velocidrome to Bifftastic Brachydios (My personal favourite), you'd be hard pressed to not find a handful of monsters you like. Oh, I just want to squeeze that Barioth! Battles revolve around a "Rock-Paper-Scissors" system and in true Monster Hunter fashion, each monster has their own preference for fighting, so you can use this knowledge to turn battles in your favour. It's a simple, easy-to-learn system that gets steadily more complex as you progress through the game. It even has a multiplayer mode that plays a lot like Golden Sun, except a lot more thought out and balanced. The world Monster Hunter Stories takes place in is fun to explore with all sorts of secrets to find, monsters to fight, side quests to complete and dens to raid. Getting to the credits isn't particularly hard, but once you see them, all sorts of Post-Game content gets unlocked and all the challenge is there. Along with plenty of rewards. There's a hell of a lot of stuff to do here, and a steady stream of DLC is currently getting added. In case you haven't noticed, the graphics are stonkingly good! Colourful, and full of life. It's all in 3D as well. There are a few moments when the framerate dips a little, but it's no big deal. Soundtrack is good too, lots of different songs help to make the battles feel fresh. I particularly like the strangely catchy Desert Battle Theme. Monster Hunter Stories is a game that didn't do particularly well in Japan and I'll never understand why. It's an amazing, well-thought RPG that pushes the 3DS to it's limits, has plenty of stuff to do and a surprisingly deep battle system. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't play this. I'm also gonna take this opportunity to add some games I don't want to write up about. Namely, Splatoon 2, Super Mario World, Super Metroid and Star Fox Mario World and Metroid I've already written about in the past, Splatoon's single player isn't the focus of the game and I found Star Fox thoroughly meh.

New Trailer. Why do they keep buffing legendaries when there are plenty of weaker Pokemon that could use the help? Mega Kecleon should have been a thing in ORAS and I will forever be upset about that. Still, there's this... O-Powers (That awesome feature Gen 6 nicked from Gen 5) seem to be back. Which is great, because grinding to Lv 100 in S/M is excruciating! I should know, I trained well over 70 Pokemon in that game from Lv 1.

I don't think I can make a dictionary definition for that one... That's perfect though! Typi (Ti-Pee) 1. v. Incorrectly spelling a word by accident due to being unskilled at spelling that word. Ex. Jason totally Typi'd the word "Objective" at the Spelling Bee, like he always does.

Where can I sign up to this?

I don't believe you. I think you're backtracking just to hide the fact you got Odyssey early. We're onto you...

Maybe it's a review copy? Does @killthenet review games for anything?

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Glen-i replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, OK. Fair enough. Fair warning though, this is before the forum change, so the formatting is a bit messy. It's also before Photobucket decided to be stupid, so a lot of the images no longer work. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Nope, not going to get into that again. I've already given my thoughts in the Gaming Diary thread and I thought I was very fair. -
If it means we get to see more of Bowser's amazing dance skills, I'd be all for that!
-
Awww... Bugger! Guess I'll have to demean myself by going to GAME.

I'm seeing that people are still forgetting that we're getting NES and SNES games when the online service launches from January. Silly people! If anything, this shows that people still want to play retro games. This would make me not buy any though. Oh? Don't have a reliable internet connection? Screw you!

Such an incredible, blatant tease. All that build up, and it ended up as just a corridor with a trainer fight at the end. It was FF13, basically. One of the many disappointments I had with S/M.

Tetris GB is a very different beast to later Tetris games to be fair. Not being able to rotate when blocks hit the ground could throw off people who are accustomed to Modern Tetris. That person just utterly failed though, hilarious!

Playing SNES Mini and 8-player Smash. I mean, it's nice they're pulling a Distortion World, but me? I want more Battle Facilities. I like playing Battle Tower, but when you expect it to be the only thing available, it's hard to get excited. The new Ultra Beasts are ranging from OK to eh. Adhesive doesn't really feel strange, alien and weird like the other Ultra Beasts. Feels like a normal Pokemon, which is kinda missing the point of UB's to begin with. None of them are as great as Buzzwole though. I'd also be more excited if we got some more non Gen 1 Alolan Pokemon.

So, what? 7 hours then?
