Wow... Out of all the dates you could have chosen this year, that is literally the worst one. Kudos!

Oh, first Pokémon RPG ever? OK, let me clue you up. The main difference between the two versions is that there are some Pokémon you can only catch in a certain version. Let's GO Pikachu has Sandshrew, Sandslash, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Growlithe, Arcanine. Let's GO! Eevee has Vulpix, Ninetales, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebell, Meowth, Persian It's usually meant to be an incentive to trade with friends and such, but seeing as you can transfer Pokémon from GO, you can just do that. It really just depends on whether you want a Pikachu or a Eevee in your team. (Pikachu is way more useful) Yep, you're definitely new to Pokémon. That's not happening. Ever.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2018 (Final results now in)
Glen-i replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
While I wait for @BowserBasher to get Thursday's results to me, here's last week's. Note: The scores are before usual recalculation, GP1 was discounted due to team games providing an unfair advantage to some players in Shine Thief (Players on the same team couldn't hit each other and therefore, couldn't steal the Shine easily). Renegade Roundup scores are determined by the number of players you caught/busted out. Due to the GP1 oopsy-daisy, I couldn't implement my Random Task that week, so I'll let you off any bonus points you might have gotten/lost. Because there were only 2 GP's this week, there will be no Player who made no Bloody Difference either. -
Nope, first 151 (and Meltan) Pokémon only. It's the biggest reason why this is the first Pokémon game I'm skipping.

Take your pick. Or choose Entei. Entei is actually decent. Oh wait, you can't!

Pokémon Dash was released for the DS in 2004 and developed by Ambrella. A racing game of sorts that was one of the launch titles for the DS in Japan and Europe. Playing as Pikachu, you take part in a variety of races that involve passing through a number of checkpoints in the correct order by sliding the stylus across the screen really fast for a long, protracted amount of time. So you can imagine the kind of impact that would have on a touch screen. With 25 courses available in the base game, this game didn't really have much going for it. Although, it had an interesting feature that utilised the GBA slot. Inserting one of the Gen 3 games would give you access to courses designed around the Pokémon you had caught in it, effectively giving you an extra 417 courses, which sounds neat enough. It also has support for 6 players, but because this doesn't support DS Download Play, good luck finding friends who would actually play this game with you. You see, the problem with Dash is that it just wasn't very fun. It was very repetitive and the actual gameplay is ropey at best. Also, this is one of those spin-off games that decided that Pikachu screaming at the top of it's voice wouldn't get incredibly grating after a while. That would probably explain why Dash sold 0.77 million copies. That's atrocious for a Pokémon spin-off and a DS launch title. Yeah, I was one of those sad saps. I got this with my DS because innocent younger me expected better from a Pokémon Spin-off. If there's one thing I learned from this game, is that I shouldn't judge a game based on the franchise it uses. A hard lesson. Luckily I also had best poker game Mario 64 DS, so it wasn't all bad. I guess this game also taught me to stay away from Ambrella. So two things. This isn't coming back, not after that performance. And no-one will miss it. Did anyone else have this? Well, apart from @Serebii, who once claimed this was a better game than any of the Mystery Dungeons. That got me riled up, for sure.

Honestly, I'm surprised they lasted this long. I mentioned it in another thread but I had this bad boy. @Dcubed can attest to how freaking huge it is. (Seriously, it's massive) Full of lovely artwork too.

Without Intimidate, Arcanine will lose a lot of the competitive edge that it just got in Sun/Moon. Now it's just an average Fire Pokémon again. You'd be better off using one of the Mega Charizards/Moltres.
-
Let's face it, Sylveon was only introduced because Gen 6 needed to introduce as many fairy types as possible to catch up with all the rest.
-
I don't really play ARMS, so I couldn't tell you.
-
I mean, they kinda did? It uses the recently added automatic chat room feature when you're in a room with friends.
-
I can only guess that it's because those games are already out. We know that Smash Ultimate is getting some app functionality with the whole replay/screenshot thing though. So my guess is that future games will take advantage of it.

I can't say I enjoyed the original Spyro. Granted, I had played Mario 64 first and it was never gonna compare to that for 8 year old me. But it always felt quite stiff. Then again, this was before the Playstation controller had analog sticks. So maybe I never gave it a fighting chance. Oh well, don't have a PS4, so eh. Am I right in remembering that Elijah Wood is a voice actor in this? That always surprised me. It's like the 90's equivalent of that Doctor Who assistant playing Melia in Xenoblade Chronicles.

Oh snap!

PlayStation Classic Announced (3rd Dec 2018)
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Other Consoles
It was only a matter of time, really. I was looking forward to him making a rare appearance on the "Other consoles" thread. Yes, I'm well aware that I show up even less, shut up! -
Around 1999?
-
Well, duh. It's got a Pikachu on the cover. Eevee can't compare to that popularity.

I want to see this UI. I would like to see it without trying to look through a 9 minute video on my phone. EDIT: Wait, so they're using an open-sourced emulator? If so, definitely a cheap cash grab. Also doesn't have that awesome rewind feature the SNES Mini has. I love saving moments with that. -
Holy crap, EX bosses decide to show up after all! Yay! Hope there's a true arena to go with them as well. Also seems to be a new level of sorts. Double Yay! This is quite a substantial update, no wonder it took this long.

I'd be up for that, provided it's a Saturday.

You know, I never did get a score of 20 on Crazy Orders with Mario. I just Golden Hammer'd the crap out of that challenge in the end. I got 20 with a few others though. Crazy Orders is great fun for quick games though. Nice to see it lives on through Spirits Mode.

My word, that looks gorgeous! The soundtrack in this game is proper tops, so it's all a winner.

Woops sorry. Forgot about that. -
Well, we can agree on that at least. I like Sylveon the least too.
