  1. But Samus already has an echo fighter... Real talk though. That would be a kinda weak pick for Microsoft's first Smash character. Hardcore Nintendo fans won't care and I haven't met a single kid who knows who that is.
  2. Quoting for the new page.
  3. OK, here's the teams. I'm on my mobile so no fancy formatting. @BowserBasher predicted that most people would choose to be on my team. He was incorrect. So he gets moved to my team as punishment. Now, assuming no-one else joins in, I should make this clear. The team with more members will have the lowest scorer discounted from the team score each race. This is to make sure that it's fair, obviously. It only affects the team score. Team Toadette (Red Team) @Dcubed @RedShell @martinist @viceview51 Team Toad (Blue Team) @Glen-i @S.C.G @BowserBasher
  4. You need Reveal to finish the game. So it's good that you got it.
  5. I'd agree with you, if it wasn't for Sakurai being an absolute mad man who generally just does his own thing. It's why we're blessed with the likes of Wii Fit Trainer, Mr. Game & Watch, Duck Hunt Duo and Piranha Plant. It's gonna depend on whether he goes for the historical aspect with Banjo or if he'll chase after the more relevant route with Steve. It's impossible to tell. As for the "Getting something out of it" My question is, does Minecraft need the boost? I remember it being pretty successful on Switch. Now, a theoretical Rare Replay port on the other hand could really benefit from the Smash effect (Patent pending) if they make it clear that "Look, Banjo's games are here! You should try them"
  6. Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i (Team Leader) @Dcubed (Team Leader) @BowserBasher (Selected Team) @viceview51 (Selected Team) @martinist (Selected Team) @RedShell (Selected Team) @S.C.G (Selected Team) EDIT: He's picked now. I'll post the Team Setup at around 7pm.
  7. My money is on Banjo personally. I feel like there's more room for a moveset just from the stuff they do in the two N64 games alone. Plus, let's face it, if Rare were still with Ninty, they would have gotten in back in Brawl. Plus, the N64 is kinda lacking in playable characters in Smash. We have Captain Falcon, Sheik, Young Link, Ganondorf and Villager. It could use a sixth.
  8. Added @Jonnas, if you ever want a few games during the weekend, give me a heads up. As for now, Stamina Smash this week. I'm available at 9:30 tonight!
  9. Oh, I'm so glad this is coming out on Switch. It was the second best thing about Devolver Digital's E3 conference. The best thing was the conference itself.
  10. Yep, pretty much a two horse race between Banjo and Steve as far as Microsoft is concerned. (Assuming Microsoft in Smash happens in the first place)
  11. Out of all the Rare characters you could have picked...
  12. Make up your damn minds! Yeah, I realise that, but I don't personally see it as that huge though. Most indie developers are more ambitious than the bigger companies anyway, so I'm not too surprised, given how much Nintendo are promoting Indies these days. I expected something like this sooner or later.
  13. I'm sitting here playing Hyrule Warriors and chuckling to myself at how much that ship already sailed. And let's not forget the Capcom Zelda games.
  14. 8-Player Split Screen is so incredibly dumb and I love it!
  15. Well, you're sorta right. But I assure you, it's pure coincidence. That particular Kecleon next to my name has absolutely nothing to do with PMD.
  16. Ah yes, the third entry, Gates to Infinity. That game ran into a few problems in it's development. It's certainly not bad, but it suffers from some problematic design choices, a severe lack of Pokèmon and after following the lofty heights of Explorers of Sky, it garnered a lot of criticism. I still enjoyed it, but I would not recommend that unless you really enjoy the series and want to get more. Super Mystery Dungeon on the other hand is my favourite PMD. (Although Sky has a better story) It fixes all the problems the previous game had and shakes up the method of recruiting Pokémon into a kind of side quest bonanza. The game is easily the hardest one though, so I would never recommend it to newcomers. Anyway, yes, Kecleon is the shop keeper, I have no idea why they chose one of the weakest Pokémon from Gen 3 to play the role of God of Merchants, but I'm not complaining. The cool difference with Kecleon is people who have way too much time on their hands can actually recruit one. And it's just as strong as when you fight one! Of course, by that point, you've probably done everything in the game...
  17. I think it'll be 2, she's too desperate to keep the Tories in power for as long as possible.
  18. While that's the case for most of them, Blue/Red Rescue Team does actually make you lose everything you're carrying.
  19. My heart stopped for a moment when I checked the site and saw you mention me in this thread. You see, the pop-up notification on mobiles cuts off the end of the thread name. So all I saw was "Pokèmon Mystery..." So yeah, thanks that pre-breakfast excitement. I never did say hello to you, did I? Sorry about that. Hi, welcome to N-Europe. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is quite frankly my favourite gaming series. I've played almost all of them (One of the 5 entries is a Japanese only WiiWare Title). That bolded part there is pretty much a massive positive to try the game out. While PMD is made by a different company (Chunsoft), the basic gameplay is fundamentally the same. But with a Pokémon flair, of course. @Julius is right when it comes to the stories of these games. They're unlike anything you've seen in Pokèmon games. The whole premise revolves around the basis of "Everyone's a Pokémon so everyone speaks English". Which allows the series to add a lot of character to the Pokémon they feature. The best part about the stories though is the subject matter. I won't go into specifics, of course. But I believe @Julius once described it as "mature". Not in a sweary, violent sort of way, mind you, it is still Pokémon, after all. Power of Friendship is probably going to be the most important thing. But the series can have some unnerving undertones that can catch people off guard, given the series. It's why I love it, though. Although, do keep in mind that PMD games are pretty notorious for having slow burning plots. The story arc doesn't tend to kick off until you're about a third of the way to the credits. But once it gets going, it doesn't stop until then. As for the gameplay, you're already somewhat familiar with it, as I mentioned. While there are definitely harder dungeon crawlers out there, PMD tends to be pretty hard compared to other Pokémon games. Preparation is just as important as the dungeon exploration, and the randomised dungeons mean you need to keep on your toes, lest you run into some bad luck and get battered. But I know you're a fan of Etrian Odyssey, so you can definitely handle PMD. Red and Blue Rescue Team are great games to dip your toe in. They're certainly not my favourite and being Gen 3 games, some mechanics might feel a bit outdated after playing Pokémon Sun/Moon, but the main plot is not too long and it's easier than later games. I assume you have a 3DS, so go with Blue Rescue Team. Red and Blue are essentially the same game except for a handful of differing Pokémon. But Blue Rescue Team uses the DS features for some Quality of Life improvements, slight visual upgrades, and better audio. EDIT: Just noticed you've already ordered them. Red Rescue Team is a tad redundant when you've got Blue Rescue Team, but hey, at least you can stack Blue on top of Red and marvel at the gorgeous and clever artwork! It sounds like you're the kind of player who would get a kick out of it and if you do enjoy it, well, there's three more entries that you can play on the 3DS. But I will give you one piece of advice: Don't mess with the Kecleon, because the Kecleon don't play nice.
  20. Close enough, it was made in the 90's. Drugs were the big "Think of the children!" thing back then.
  21. That one sounded so fake, I had to check it out. Yep, it's real.
  22. Did you know that @Dcubed has an actual copy of Hatris? Mental, huh?
  23. @Nicktendo, when you say SMB 2, do you mean the Japanese one (Lost Levels) or the Western one (Doki Doki Panic)?
