  1. Final Fantasy VI is the epitome of old school Final Fantasy. Well ahead of it's time and holds up remarkably well. BTW, I've finally decided to continue my "Glen plays each Final Fantasy for the first time" journey with Final Fantasy XII on Switch. (I skipped XI for obvious reasons) I understand there's some fundamental differences from the original, but from what I can tell, the plot is still the same and an added job system can only seem like a benefit, quite frankly. Weird game. Especially for Final Fantasy. But I'm intrigued so far. Gambit system seems really cool and has potential for some neat strategies. Definitely feels like Xenoblade 0.5, which can't be a bad thing.
  2. Nah, sorry, can't do tomorrow. Guess we'll have to do it next week.
  3. Yeah, it is some kind of stool. Cool, I'll need to visit your town, (Or you visit mine) so we can add each other to the Best Friends list which lets me send you letters. In return, could you check a look at what colour Monster Statue is in your Nook Miles Shop? Trying to get them all and I already have Blue, Black, Brown and Red.
  4. Every single one showing you how to do Rocket Rush better. Left-right movement to provide more reaction time, no silly harsh fuel limit, and actual checkpoints. But seeing as we're talking DKC trilogy levels, what's everyone's favourite?
  5. Oh right, yeah. @viceview51, let me know if you're available today.
  6. You're totally right on the first point. But Snow Barrel Blast is an awful, barrel cannon level that gets away with it because it looks pretty. Rocket Rush is a great concept, but you're not allowed to make a single mistake on the ascent, otherwise you just won't make it. It's pure trial-and-error and that kinda sucks. The boss straight after it is crazy clever though. Makes it worth the hassle. I should point out that these are just the low points of each game. The positives of each game far outweigh the negatives. Well, except DKC 1. The three mid-game worlds all kinda suck there. But then the factory levels are great!
  7. Wait, I only started watching it because my cousin is a big Trekkie and I saw it because I was in the same room. Oh dear Arceus, I'm the unnerdy girlfriend in this scenario!
  8. Righto, @darksnowman don't have much, but I have a few things that you don't from that set. Diner Counter Chair (Black) [Might be the chair you mentioned] Diner Dining Table (Cream) Diner Neon Clock (Red/Yellow/Purple) Diner Neon Sign (Red Triangle, Blue Background) I also have a Pool Table (It's red though). Been a while since I've seen you online, so remind me what your name is on AC and I'll send them to you.
  9. Let me have a look through my catalogue and I'll get back to you in about 15 minutes.
  10. The two other forest levels in that world are way more interesting and dynamic, Web Woods forces you to a crawl because of how Squitter functions. Perfectly fine animal buddy in short bursts, but throughout an entire level filled with constant pits, it's glacial in it's pacing. The bonuses are very cleverly hidden, but that means most first-timers will be replaying it a lot and the DK coin being on the end goal (Which requires near perfect timing) also causes a lot of replays. And it's all because of that one section, you know the one. Rest of the level is actually quite fun, but that one point utterly ruins it. Quite possibly the worst level in the entire DKC trilogy. DKC1's Snow Barrel Blast and DKC3's Rocket Rush are other competitiors for that illustrous title.
  11. You're more than welcome, just keep in mind that you may not have certain vehicle parts for some of the themes here. If that happens, let me know and I'll tell you some alternate parts to use. Hope to see you soon.
  12. 2 out of 10, in case you're wondering. But it's pretty bad that FIFA keeps doing this and ripping off unsuspecting Switch players.
  13. Yeah, fair enough. Wouldn't want to tackle Screech's Sprint while angry. Or Castle Crush for that matter, that level is tough for people unfamiliar with the layout, very little room for error. Speaking of Castle Crush, there's a crazy way to skip the level. It's difficult to do and you miss the bonus and DK coin, but it's bonkers! DKC 2 has a failsafe where if something like this happens, the game skips the level instead of crashing, 9 times out of 10. Great programming on Rare's part in an era where you can't patch anything.
  14. Glad we got past Kremwood Forest, a slight dip in fun, especially Web Woods and it's stupid end-of-level DK coin. Web Woods is one of two levels I actively dislike. You've not seen the other one. For that bonus before we called it quits, you need to use the roll jump. Roll off the edge, then jump. Tricky to pull off. I'll be up for more tomorrow.
  15. Sorry, SMB 35 match ran a bit long, got to Lakitu, that ended it soon enough. Will head on now.
  16. I can do tonight or tomorrow. Just give me a time.
  17. Ah, page break makes a fool out of us all. I'll be quoting myself, so I can freely edit it here.
  18. Uh oh! More N-E shenanigans! This one features reckless armadillos, Sheikah bullying, Nana being the epitome of suck and the proudest I've ever been playing as Pichu. Can't tell you who everyone is, but it features me, @RedShell, @S.C.G, @BowserBasher, @LazyBoy and @Sprout
  19. Apparently, insomnia thinks that being awake from 7am to 1am isn't enough awake time, so I might as well do this now. Next Thursday, Steve will be released and as with every other DLC character, we'll all be using him way too much. And also as usual, I'll be making a highlight reel of the night. Because a load of people playing with a character they barely know is a recipe for hilarity. (I can't stop people from playing as them in the two days before Thursday, but try not to become super expert with them, spoils the hilarity a little if you don't make mistakes) For the sake of easy identification, it'd be great if each of you declare which version of Steve/Alex you want to use. You can see each costume here. Steve - Tennis Player Steve - Scottish Steve - @Glen-i Alex - Tennis Player Alex - Swedish Alex - Zombie - @BowserBasher Enderman - Yeah, I'm making the video, I get first dibs. And I will be wearing a kilt. People who haven't bought the second Fighters Pass I'm not gonna force people to buy the second Fighters Pass just so they can play, that's not cool. But sticking with the usual random choice will make it hard to tell who you are in the highlight video, so here are some characters that are related to Minecraft in some way. It would also look good for the video in a thematic sense. It'd be great if you non Fighters Pass guys would choose one of these characters to play as for the night. Customisable Avatar Characters Mii Fighter - Robin - Corrin - Inkling - Characters from games with world editing aspects. Mario (Builder outfit only) - Villager - Isabelle - Character who utillises Minecraft style crafting mechanics Link - Random enemy mook (Like Zombie and Enderman) Piranha Plant - Microsoft-owned character Banjo & Kazooie - Kirby Kirby - So there you have it, it's first come, first serve, so act fast. But I'm gonna mention our N-E regulars @RedShell, @BowserBasher, @S.C.G, @LazyBoy and @Sprout
  20. Forgot to put @martinist as 2nd place on the third GP, the points are correct though and he has his 2nd place recorded on the table. Next League Night: 15th October 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @S.C.G @martinist @viceview51
  21. Chess is a game of skill and strategy, but not all of the games in this collection are as dependant on the player's wits. Some games err more on the luck side of things and this next set of games aims to get these over and done with. It's... Oh no! Luck based Minigames! Might as well just play Merry Go Chomp 9 times... This week's games: War, Takoyaki, Pig's Tail Each game will be played 3 times. Bracketing: @Glen-i VS @viceview51 @drahkon VS @S.C.G War Rules: N/A Takoyaki Rules: First Move - Random Joker - On Pig's Tail Rules: First Move - Random Penalty Cards - Forbidden
  22. Isn't it obvious? You're a toilet! And that's why I needed to tell you. (No idea, that phrase just randomly popped up in my head after Mario Kart and I went to the loo before booting up Smash)
  23. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd three-stock @Sprout in a one-on-one. Just ignore the fact that I had a Rathalos and a kamikaze Dillon on my side. Anyway, I've been slowly building up a highlight reel of the past couple of months and with Steve night coming around, it's time I add those last few replays to it and then post it here.
  24. Nana's just letting us both down today, huh?
  25. Sorry for the lateness, Mario Kart ran long for reasons. Will open the room in a minute or so.
