Shenanigan video from the Steve night last week. Includes really stupid looking animation, people playing Minecraft and a magical supersonic block of dirt. I'm Scottish Steve, @BowserBasher is Zombie, @S.C.G was Alex. @Sprout was default Steve, but switched to Isabelle and Kirby (in the three player fights) near the end. The non-Steves are @Nicktendo as Piranha Plant, @LazyBoy as Mega Man and Mr Game & Watch, and @RedShell as everyone else (Including Kirby on Big Blue and 4-player fights).

No dispute there.

By this point, if you're surprised that a Nintendo anniversary themed game is limited time only, that's on you. It's been a thing since well before the Switch. Don't fall down the "Mother 3 English release" rabbit hole. Only sadness lies there. It happened with Earthbound Beginnings. Don't let Fire Emblem reignite that fire. @Ike, it's certainly more effort, but there's no denying the similarities of "Old, unreleased NES game gets an English release" between the two.

This week, I'm falling back on an old favourite of mine. Koopa Troopa's Morning Constitutional Bowser's minions don't get to work from home, so you still have to get there quick. Last person to get there gets fired. And it's Bowser, so you know that's a literal term.

Promising! I'm a lot more confident about the script in this mod now. Ted Woolsey was one of the best localisers in the 90's because he didn't do a straight up translation from Japanese. It gave his work a lot of personality back in a time when most localisations outside of Nintendo were a bit dry. He wasn't perfect, mind. He was, after all, one guy working on a big RPG. But changing his script too much would definitely rub me the wrong way. Here's hoping this mod just changes the minor mistakes as far as script goes.

I've always been interested in this mod. I do have one question. Does Kefka still shout "Son of a Submariner!" after that castle buries itself in the desert?

Probably right, in a sense. But there are some Pokémon that got new models for Gigantamax forms. (Charizard, Pikachu, a lot of the new Pokémon) I have to wonder if most of those Gigantamax forms were meant to be Mega Evolutions at first? It would have meant having to tweak stats, typing and abilities though. So it was probably changed to Dynamax (Which only doubles HP, for every Pokémon) to save time.

The Pokédex cut for "balancing" issues is even more insulting than it was before with this stuff coming to light. And of course, Mega Evolution was never meant to be cut initially. I always thought so, because it made a lot of Pokémon more viable for battles (Beedrill was not utter garbage anymore), even with the side effect of Mega Rayquaza. Dynamax is a poor substitute. When I wrote up the N-E review, I decided to give Game Freak the benefit of the doubt when I scored it an 8, but now that I'm certain stuff was dropped to save time, I'm wanting to lower it to a 7, maybe even a 6. An extra year would've made a whole lot of difference.

Someone just unlocked her on FE Warriors and are staggered by how crazy good she is? Because seriously, she's in top 3 most OP characters in that game, at least.
