  1. That last Carrom match was expertly played, @S.C.G That last match of Pool... Not so much. Laughed like mad at that, though! Way too funny!
  2. Heads up @S.C.G, L and R let you change the angle of your shot.
  3. OK, @S.C.G Room's open.
  4. I remember him mentioning about how the PlayStation Move was gonna totally stop dead all momentum of Wii sales. That was funny. The true irony, however, as we all can tell now is that his Wii HD advice did end up dooming Nintendo... If they didn't have enough money to weather that storm easily. The Wii is probably the biggest reason no-one takes him seriously in the gaming industry anymore. Most naysayers who got blindsided by the massive success it got at the start threw up their hands, said "OK, we were wrong" and moved on. But he just kept on hammering that Wii HD saving move in.
  5. Oh, now that's a thing. How about next weekend, @Vileplume2000?
  6. 7pm's good for me.
  7. In that case, a warning. Let me know when you get to the "Floating Continent". Trust me on this.
  8. Gonna chime in with another pro tip for this segment coming up. Don't recruit him this time, he'll just sod off at the worst possible moment and leave you in a disadvantageous position.
  9. Yeah, every face button in Kirby Super Star actually has a purpose. B is jump, Y inhales and uses Copy Abilities, A creates a helper/throws away a copy ability hat for player 2 to use and X lets you check a special menu in one of the games and lets you change copy ability in the last game. The shoulder buttons performs a block. It's a pretty easy going game, but has a surprisingly high skill ceiling. You should give it another crack and start with Spring Breeze. That even has an in game tutorial of the basic controls.
  10. Just got around to reading this. This sounds like Gourmet Race, one of the 6 main games in Kirby Super Star. It sounds like you didn't figure out how to actually run in Kirby Super Star. You need to quickly tap the D-pad twice, holding it on the second press to start running. That should make it possible. Kirby Super Star is a great co-op game. Gourmet Race is single player only, but the rest of the game can be 2 player co-op. It's not crazy hard like Contra, so it's a lot more fun. One of the best co-op games on the SNES. A lot of those games are available on the SNES app on Switch if you have an online account. Which means Kirby Dream Course (That Kirby Golf game) can be played online with someone on your friend list.
  11. @Kav one thing to mention is that you need to edit the first post in this thread in order to change the title.
  12. 2 Triforce shards down, Bombs, Deku Leaf and Bow acquired. Wind Waker is now an epic Robin Hood archery game due to having no sword. The lack of a Spoils Bag and Bait Bag is starting to become an issue. I have all this stuff I can't give to people because I can't set Joy Pendants to a bloody button! Anyway, after doing pretty much every platform now, the first wallet upgrade is finally found. You'd be surprised how much being able to hold 1000 rupees opens up. Gonna take a break there now because I wouldn't carry on while @Dcubed sleeps.
  13. Is 8pm (half an hour from this post) good for you?
  14. Well, @Dcubed and I have started our second attempt on Wind Waker Randomiser. We've managed to get the three Goddess Pearls and the Magic Armour. Not got a single actual weapon, but we did get a Bomb Bag upgrade. That doesn't actually count as getting the bombs, mind you. So we can carry 60 bombs, but can't actually pick up any bombs. Why yes, that does make no sense. Anyway, we were running out of places and having to start relying on the dreaded platforms before getting the boomerang. (First one we tried had Nayru's Pearl, because of course it did) And then we suddenly remembered that Tower of the Gods has an accessible chest without weapons! So we go pick it up and lo and behold! The Grappling Hook! That's opened a lot of possibilities! Now we're Treasure Charting the crap out of this ocean! This is a very silly way to play the game!
  15. Next League Night: 29th October 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @martinist @S.C.G @viceview51 Player's choice will be next week, because Halloween is closing in. As the picture suggests, you're free to choose either King Boo, Dry Bowser or Dry Bones. Anyway, they're all dead, so you can't throw items around. Poltergeists aren't real. Mushrooms only will help you get places quicker and haunt lots of different places.
  16. Lots of shenanigans for you!
  17. Pachter is notorious for being wrong more often than he is right. Whenever he claims something that must be done, it's a surefire way of knowing that the opposite must be done. The guy doesn't know jack about what makes consoles sell.
  18. It is, it's the best thing about the DLC, but I have limited funds and Hyrule Warriors has to take priority at the moment. If only I could join someone else's Dynamax Adventure (Kinda like how people without the DLC can join someone who starts a raid from Isle of Armour), I'd be all up for helping out, but...
  19. Redd is in my town on a day I'm online for once! There's a real Moody Painting and the fakes are the Basic Painting, Quaint Painting and Mystic Statue. I've already got a Moody Painting donated, so someone else can have it.
  20. Because it's spectacularly funny. It's what TV Tropes calls a "Good Bad Bug". It's definitely a programming oversight because some bosses have a weight check that tells the game that moves like Suplex won't work. But that boss doesn't have it for some reason, which results in that. FFVI is a very buggy game. Mostly because of how ambitious it is for a SNES RPG, some of these bugs have the side effect of making the game more entertaining. (Of course, there's some bugs in the SNES version that have negative effects if messed with. The Sketch nonsense springs to mind. I imagine that mod fixes that.)
  21. I haven't actually bought it yet. Hyrule Warriors is higher in my priority list at the moment.
  22. I'm normally free every weekend, but @Dcubed's schedule changes every week, so he'll have to let you know later on in the future.
  23. Here's a Pro Tip, @drahkon If you fought a Stray Cat along the way to Gau, then all you need is that rage. It's crazy useful. (Also flat out broken, in a good way, with the right end game setup)
  24. Stamina Format tonight at 9pm.
