  1. Oh... Well, definitely discount what I said there, because I certainly didn't trawl around on the right hand side of the map for 10 minutes because one of the pirates mentioned seeing it on the "Starboard side", no sirree!
  2. You thought it would be on the right side of the map, didn't you?
  3. Seriously, you again, @Ike!? That last video is a bit of tech I stumbled upon last week. Angle yourself just right, and you can take the top path on all three laps.
  4. That is miles better then the second season one! That one felt a bit generic compared to the lovely stop-motion first season opening. Can't wait for this! One of the few animes that truly captured my attention.
  5. Oh crap! Did not notice that. Will sort that out sharpish. EDIT: It never happened!
  6. Theme night this week! AWWWW YEAH! Obligatory December Winter Theme plus places that would probably be quite cold because there isn't 12 snow tracks! See you at 8!
  7. I started the game with a Thief, a Monster Wrangler, and a Priest. Mostly from previous Dragon Quest experience, I guessed that Thief would learn "Nose for Treasure", which is immensely helpful for getting every treasure chest/hidden item. They do. Monster Wrangler turned out to be very beneficial because they get an ability that tells you if a frienddly monster is nearby. Priest, well, that's self explanatory. Once someone has learnt every ability/spell a vocation can give, I change it. Every spell and ability carries over, so my priest can still heal things, even though they're not a priest anymore. Hero there functions well enough as a backup healer, so I'm not desperate So with that in mind, here's how I've been reclassing them. Thief - Monster Wrangler - Warrior Monster Wrangler - Thief - Merchant Priest - Merchant - Thief Yeah, Thieves are just insanely useful, what with their increased chances of getting an item drop. Gotten quite a lot of seeds from that, which I've pumped into Hero, seeing as he can't change class, so his stats are a bit limited compared to the others (I say limited, but they are still pretty damn high, so...). Merchant was a bit of a bust, none of those abilities are that useful. Unless you want every skill, you can safely skip that. Monster Wrangler has excellent skills, but they take a while to learn everything, and some skills are tied behind finding friendly monsters. Well worth it though. Monster Pile-On absolutely melts bosses if you keep up with that. Attack Attacker is also helpful to blunt bosses as well. Anyway, the plan is to end with Gadabout/Sage for every character. Will probably revert one back to Thief, just for the extra item drop chance. Jury is still out on Warrior and Martial Artist, but if my hunch is right, Multifists should be on Martial Artist, and that's always been a great move. Warrior normally has some good skills as well (Metal Slash, I'm guessing), so I'll likely get everyone on that.
  8. I was gonna call you out on this, until I remembered that I spent a good 10+ hours sailing around, and scavenging every little sparkly morsel I could find on the map. But hey, Hero's level 40+ now, the other three have a full ability list from three different vocations, I have 68 monsters, and a quarter of a million gold with nothing left to spend it on at the mo. Grinding in a different sense there. Got the last orb this morning, so off I go to use them somewhere.
  9. Having DLC be in the running is quite icky to me. I'd be more believing that it's not just to have Elden Ring win again if there was other DLC there. In short, what I'm really trying to say, is that Ode to Castlevania was robbed.
  10. Will the Concord episode abruptly end halfway through the runtime? Yeah, cheap shot, but I have to imagine the directors are not exactly pleased with having to do one on that game now.
  11. You did not just turn your nose up at one of the best Game Boy games ever!? Donkey Kong 94 is amazing!
  12. I've been playing through this this week. Just got the ship myself. Just a heads up, if you want more Sages. A level 20 Gadabout can become a Sage without reading.
  13. You can tell he spends too much time on ResetEra. Doesn't even read previous posts.
  14. Might be time to put your money where your mouth is soon... This happened with Octopath Traveler, it was temporarily delisted to change the publisher from Nintendo to Square, and then shortly after, it was ported to other platforms.
  15. Nailed it! No-one can compare to Lucina & Lucina & Knuckles! I really have to stop using Kaclang when other Heroes are around...
  16. Spark Cutter is by far, the most effective power combo in that game. The cutest Sith Lord Seriously, if you didn't need specific powers to get some Crystal Shards, I would use nothing but. It's way too good. Also, this game has Checkerboard Chase, an absolute top-tier multiplayer minigame. And I know people who'd agree! Everyone's dead, Dave.
  17. Well, assuming no massive revelations come to light, I'm gonna stick to the original lineup. The others are too vague to go either way. Bum Fight There is a costume restriction. Hero - Dragon Quest 4 version only (Pictured above) Stages lack buildings you could live in. Can't have people squatting during a fight now, can we? The items are the standard fare. Format: 3 Stock, 10 Minutes FS Meter: On Custom stages start at 7:30.
  18. This is a good point. I mean, going by how much Male Robin and Chrom show up together outside of Awakening (Smash4, Ultimate, and even FE: Engage), I'd say there's just as much of a case for them being the canon pairing. I don't have anything to say on Ike's case. I've never played the Tellius games, so I'll have to watch that discussion on the side, but... I'm happy someone noticed this. In a reverse of the Ike situation, Dcubed hasn't played Mother 3, while I have. When we had our initial discussion on every character, I had to pull the "You're just gonna have to trust that I'm right on this one" card when we got to him. I mean, yeah, both Dcubed and I eventually had to agree that it was more likely then not that Little Mac has a place to stay. It's Ridley that we both stubbornly refuse to budge on! Pirate Homeland is an inhospitable wasteland! I'm not even convinced he was born on that planet. And speaking of... NO! BAD! Don't you dare try to discount one of the few legit cool things about Other M's mess of a plot! You know that's not Ridley! I will die on that hill if I have to! MB's the other cool thing about that plot, and I don't care what anyone says.
  19. Probably on the Japanese app, seeing as there is no Game Boy version of DKL 3 in Japan.
  20. OK, so @S.C.G. Simon has seem to have fallen ill. (Didn't realise you could catch flu through Mario Kart), so it'll be you, me and Dcubed tonight at 8:30. Unless... Someone here wants to join in Perfect Dark?
  21. God, it bothers me that they imply Tropical Freeze happens before Returns...
  22. OK, so there's a theme coming up. Got an idea, but there's a few characters not currently on the list because I'm not entirely certain, so I'm gonna post the idea and the characters, and see if I can get a more concrete consensus. The title of this theme, which will certainly get censored in the game itself, is... Bum Fight The characters here, as far as I'm aware, do not have a place of residence. Effectively, they're homeless. For what it's worth, characters who lose their house during a game, but then get it back later don't count. That's why Sheik is there, but not Zelda. Spoilers for Ocarina of Time, but by the time Zelda gets her castle back, she's no longer Sheik. I am counting characters who live in some kind of personal vehicle. Samus and Wolf bascially live in their car, and that's not a home. Compare Fox and Falco, who live on the Great Fox; A ship clearly designed to also function as a home. You know? Like Star Trek. As for Hero, only the DQ4 style Hero (Pictured above) would remotely qualify here. Now, the floor is very much open to questions and debate, but there are also a few characters that @Dcubed and I can't seem to come to an agreement on. These characters are; Daisy - Have you ever seen her castle? I certainly haven't! Why is she always hanging around the Mushroom Kingdom, anyway!? Starting to think Sarasaland doesn't actually exist and Super Mario Land was all a fever dream. Meta Knight - The Halberd makes this tricky. Even discounting the possibility that it never gets rebuilt after Planet Robobot, does he have a house? Dedede and Kirby do, but we've seen nothing for Meta Knight... Pit - I think Pit must have a house somewhere in Skyworld. Dcubed thinks that Palutena is such a massive troll, that she wouldn't give him one for laughs. I can't catagorically deny that possibility. Alph - Not Olimar. Olimar definitely has a house and a family, but Alph is a bit more vague on that front. He has a job, so it's not unfeasible to think he has a house, but there's no evidence there. Little Mac - There's no confirmation of a house of some kind, so this one depends on whether a gym is good enough. Is the gym public access? Robin - Dcubed thinks he's homeless, I think Chrom is the kind of bro that would at least give him a house after the crap they went through in FE: Awakening. Duck Hunt Duo - If the dog doesn't count, then the duck does at least. But it all depends on how you determine the off-screen sharpshooter and their relationship with the dog. Ridley - You ever played Metroid Prime 3? Ain't no houses on the Pirate Homeworld! Dcubed disagrees. Richter - OK, so Dcubed doesn't know this, but during my research, I found out that Simon Belmont would go on to found his own town! So he definitely ends up with a house. As for Richter? Well, that depends on whether he would end up inheriting some kind of Belmont residence. They do pass the Vampire Killer whip down the generations, so why not a house? So that's it? Thoughts?
  23. Oh right. Forgot to say this. Sorry about Cloudtop Cruise. It didn't benefit me one bit, yet I still rammed you off. It was pretty funny, though.
  24. Oh, and @lostmario, don't think that we didn't notice you trying to get early Baby Park on the second GP because that GP was a wash for you. Very shrewd! I love it!
  25. Yeah, @martinist was scarily effective with the star tonight! I think he nailed, like, 4 people on one corner with it on DS Mario Circuit! Also, this!
