Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (19th November 2021)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yes, except Mesprit and Cresselia, seeing as they're roaming Pokémon. -
OK then.

Right, it's a theme night tonight. And what better way to celebrate Christmas then finally giving @BowserBasher what he wants. Wild Pokémon Battles! Hold your horses, I know what you're already thinking. Simply put, 8 characters is too slim for my liking, if it's less then Smash 64, then it's not good enough. So apart from the obvious Pokémon characters, here's my reasonings for the other 4 bozos. All Pokémon stages are naturally here, but there's a few others to help diversify things a bit. Basically, stadium type arenas, and Onett, which could pass for a town in a Pokémon game. Format: Stamina, 6 stock, 80 HP FS Meter: On In the spirit of Pokémon, it's stamina matches. I've also doubled the amount of lives everyone has, due to each trainer being allowed to have 6 Pokémon. But to avoid having matches drag on too long, I've almost halved the HP you have. Still, at least falling off with full HP won't be as devastating as usual. The room will be open tonight at 8pm.

Exactly what I needed to fill in. The difference is that I actually do have a Twitter username, so I put it in. Most people here would know it by now anyway.

You know what I like in a battle theme? One woman wailing along with it. I'm not thinking of choirs, those are all over the place. No, one singular woman belting her lungs out really hammers the "Epic" in. Case in point, Octopath Traveler's brutally difficult optional final boss. And then there's Bravely Default II, with it's woman of impeccable vocal chords! Just when you think she can't belt out a higher pitched note, she does just that! Anyone else got some examples?

N-Europe has gotten a new CMS. I imagine that's part of it. I don't know the details though, you'll have to ask someone more in the know then I am.
-
Considering Friday is Christmas Eve, Thursday might be the way to go then.
-
Yeah, I was thinking about that, and while I'm up for any day, some people might not. Gonna shout out @Ike (and anyone who might be interested) what day would be most convenient.
-
Oh right, I get that. I'm just pointing out that AoC is a game that has a different, more weirder tone to BotW. I never meant to suggest that it's somehow a replacement for a Zelda same-engine sequel like MM in its gameplay, that's silly. I just get the feeling that BotW 2 won't really depart much from the vibe the first game had in comparison.
-
You realise you're talking to the guy who thinks BotW is very un-Zelda, right? I don't understand your argument.

See, if Hyrule wasn't so ridiculously massive, they might be able to pull this off, but it's precisely because it's so huge that Ninty are reusing it mostly wholesale. The plus side is that most of the heavy lifting is already done, so they can experiment more with the new stuff that is there. Kinda like how Mario Galaxy 2 could go crazy with new and existing mechanics compared to Galaxy, or how Pokémon Black/White could focus on those animated sprites and far more elaborate looking places because the engine was already there. That said, anyone who thinks that the Sky sections in this are going to be as stupidly humongous as Hyrule itself is only setting themselves up for disappointment. I'm not even convinced that this idea of a complex underground section is going to be a thing.
-
No-one knows. But it's a very weird shift that no-one liked, so Ninty pretends that it doesn't exist. You know, like the CD-i games. Nice try, I was prepared for Sabrina.
-
Weird, considering there's someone called Zelda, and she's playable in it.
-
That already exists. It's called Age of Calamity. The game where I defeated Calamity Ganon by setting the Great Fairies loose on him and literally kissing him to death.

KONAMI - What the hell are they doing!?
Glen-i replied to RedShell's topic in General Gaming Discussion
That's been in Bomberman for ages now. It's old news. -
They received such positive praise for those two screenshots, that they're taking two extra months to make the whole game look like that. Is what I'll tell myself as I cry myself to sleep tonight.
-
Oh right, forgot to mention. I'm not gonna be online until the 21st. So gonna have to postpone it until after that.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (19th November 2021)

New Mystery Gift Distribution. Code is MERRYCHR1STMAS and it gets you some of those rare statue variants. (Pachirisu, Lucario, Electivire, Glaceon, and Rhyperior) -
It's likely because when we went to that pop-up Pokémon Center, I traveled from that area. It's possible I mentioned that. Can't remember though.
-
Appreciate the suggestion, but I live near the west of London. I totally get why you'd think otherwise though. That said, if I have the time tomorrow, I might just go there anyway.
-
Eh, none near me. (Last update for Walk-ins in that regard was 5 months ago)
-
If it's any consolation, @Cube, I've been struggling to book a boost as well. I don't think my internet is good enough to handle trying to get through that high traffic nightmare.

Your 2022 Gaming Plans and Predictions
Glen-i replied to Ashley's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Kirby's the big one that I'm certain is coming out in 2022. Apart from that, meh. I agree with @Dcubed that Bayo 3 likely isn't coming out next year. So not much I know about that I'm looking forward to. I had to hold off on Shin Megami Tensei V. (Why would you release it around the same time as Pokémon!?) So I'll likely be getting that next year. And that's about it. 2022 isn't off to the most stellar of starts for me. Hopefully some of my wishlist games get some sales to fill out the gaps. -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Honestly? I have a bad feeling that NES/SNES are done as far as new titles go. -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

Oh, so it's a separate date for the two consoles to be updated. Odd, but OK. I do have to wonder if NES/SNES will get something next week.
