  1. Shame that it gave rise to a glitch that could render the game impossible to 100%. And the camera's crap. And the cutscenes are borked. And the cheats are useless.
  2. No, thankfully, this isn't the XBox version. The Engine Room is by far the most difficult platforming section in the game. You wouldn't want to gather all the notes in Rusty Bucket Bay and then die in the Engine Room. All that hard work would go to waste. Do it first and the rest is relatively smooth sailing.
  3. Tomorrow would probably be when I'm free, in that case. Any time is fine.
  4. Fair point, but I'd be surprised if those posters hung around for 2 weeks.
  5. Yeah, and these days you have to sell your soul playing mobile tat. I know which one I prefer.
  6. I've been meaning to ask. And considering you're active here, I think I already know the answer, but still.

You OK after your COVID positive?

Still on the mend, but doing much better now thanks :peace:

  7. Oh right yeah, I remember you telling me about that now. Welp, that's just smashing then!
  8. Uhhh, duh? It's the N64 version, why would they be broken? Anyway, Ocarina of Time's Dark Link room has been fixed!
  9. Remember kids, clean out the notes in the engine room first.
  10. Majora's Mask will be February's game.
  11. I find it funnier that it says "You've had a great year" in the last pic. Gives the impression that not playing the PS5 is a fantastic use of your free time.
  12. I was gonna say that they couldn't be bothered to make 2 posters, but then @Dcubed informed that this is only for Europe, so... Maybe it's their way of saying you should use the American version on NSO?
  13. Actually, it's worse. It's ResetEra. Now that I think about it, I bet even dirtier sites are full of spoilers now. Pokémon fans are weird.
  14. Not really. Pokémon leaks are so textbook, I've got avoiding them down to an artform. For the next week, I'm only going on this site, and Serebii. Anywhere else, and I just risk seeing something I don't want to. Helps that those are two of the three sites I periodically visit every day.
  15. Yeah, gonna have to correct you there. It's the third slowest grass starter ever. Torterra and Chesnaught are slower, everything else is quicker. EDIT: I'm agreeing with @Julius though. That screenshot showing an Oshawott at Level 50-ish early on was very suspicious. They're hiding something with the final evolutions. I'm sure of it. I don't agree that the regional variants have been as mixed, almost all of them have been hits for me. Whether it be cool takes on old designs ("KISS fan" Zigzagoon) mechanical tweaks that save a Pokémon from mediocrity ("It's better when it's dead" Corsola), or a mixture of both ("Best regional variant" Marowak) I can't think of a single one that I don't think is better then the original version. But hey, if the starters have regional variants, maybe Decidueye won't be so slow!
  16. Not gonna lie, those are pretty cool. Shame Majora's Mask isn't out on NSO yet, that has some great poster art!
  17. To simulate the experience of having to wait for N64 games to release in Europe. Authentic!
  18. @Ugh first aid is gonna get the game, so I'll probably use her console for a "Try before you buy" kind of deal. I don't have utter confidence that I'll like this. Catching Pokémon over and over again to progress doesn't sound great to me. That said, the choice is easy. Typhlosion is easily my fave of the three starter evolutions here. Assuming I actually commit, it'll be the first time I use it, seeing as Totodile isn't there to immediately make my decision for me.
  19. Pokémon was a general victim of this because almost all of Nintendo's handheld consoles aren't region locked, while region locking was rife throughout the PS1/PS2 eras. So there wasn't much point in importing home console games for retailers. Combine that with Pokémon being the killer app of their respective handhelds, and that explains why paying a little extra in order to sell those games early was so desirable for independent retailers while simultaneously mostly ignoring other big sellers.
  20. The big retailers of the time (Game, HMV, Woolworths) didn't have the need to import Pokémon games, they were profitable enough through other means. And when the games were officially released, most people would buy them through the big shops. This is likely why smaller retailers got that idea that they needed to sell early, before the big dogs ate most of the pie. It's just persisted since then.
  21. It's Tony Hawk, quite a few people refer to him as such. (Skateboarding is probably the one sport I actually know terminology for...) Toys for Bob and Vicarious System were doing well, until Activision reassigned them to support teams for Call of Duty. Naturally, this bummed out a lot of people because those studios are talented and it's a big waste to just have them churn out CoD games. Hopefully Microsoft reassign them back to other projects.
  22. @MindFreak is spot on. Pokémon games only developed this problem once worldwide releases became the norm. Before that, you'd see quite a few independent retailers order in American copies of the Pokémon games to get some early sales. (I got Ruby, Emerald, Platinum, and even Explorers of Sky because of that) Like I said, retailers just cannot wait to get those Pokémon sales.
  23. The person playing B-K in that trailer has K.K. Slider as their profile pic. Nice touch.
  24. What can I say? Game outlets can't help themselves. Gotta sell Pokémon ASAP.
