Netflix is way better than lovefilm. Not just the library but the interface, easy to get around, seamless queueing of the next episode, remembering where you're up to etc.. And yeah there's free ways to access the US version on your laptop and some cheap ways to access it for other devices (pay for a VPN such as Unblock US and then just change your DNS settings, eg on PS3, Xbox, tablet or straight on the router). As Rowan said one account can access both and even remembers your history/favourites separately. You get free trials with each (and cashback through quidco essentially making the second month free too) so I'd suggest just trying them both out. On Netflix you can cancel the upcoming payment online before the trial ends.

Ah, oh well. You could tether to your phone? Insta-3G-Vita! Who doesn't have Wi-fi?? :P

Watch Dogs is probably the one title that stands out. Although it's going to be on current-gen consoles, I'll probably give it a miss until I do get a next-gen system. That said, there's no guarantee it's going to be as great as it looks.

Same here. It's not a bad line-up, but there's no system sellers on the list for me. Same for XB1. It's quite a relief in a way, it means I can take my time, examine the reaction to the consoles, maybe even wait for the first price drop

I don't have a Wii U and haven't bought anything new for the 3DS for a bit (except the SMT: DS Overclocked bundle thingy), and yet for some reason I still get really excited for Nintendo Direct! 39 minute though... not sure I can afford to slack off work for that long :p

Vita software update today is pretty great. Adds a smartphone style toggles menu on holding the PS button, to control 3G, wifi, brightness, volume etc.. Found myself heading into the menu mid-game for those things a few times, so a welcome addition

I just completed my NG+ on Persona 4 Golden. My clock is at 145hr+ and I still didn't get all the trophies. I should've read the list first, I probably could've gotten Hardcore Risette Fan quite easily, but I power-levelled at the beginning and wound up doing most of the game with a level 99 Futsunushi :p Which means Rise's comments are only along the lines of "It's puny! Use ice on it", "That one's easy, use fire" and none of the other end of the scale (the trophy is to hear 250 different lines from Rise during battle, in one playthrough). It was great the second time through, I'm actually glad I failed to max out Marie and my compendium the first time, that meant a whole new dungeon and also a new boss on my second play. Still undecided as to whether I should give it one more run through for those last couple of trophies or move on to P3P

Although I didn't really like the controls or the inclusion of NPCs in 3, I can safely say I loved this entire trilogy. It's a properly amazing series, from the alone in the dark atmosphere, to visuals way ahead of their time, eerie music and awesome weapons, enhancements and boss fights. For me the first is pretty much part of a holy trinity of outstanding 2D-to-3D transition with Mario 64 and Zelda OoT.

I've seen it a few times but I still watch it all the way through every time....

And if both were released today, you'd want a Godfather sequel more than a Man of Steel sequel? Enjoyment is king, post-enjoyment reflection of depth and quality is a distant second, to me anyway!

I had a lot more fun with Tomb Raider than I did with The Last of Us. Much more to do, much more gameplay variety.

So use wisely, get a max of 4 years out of them on new releases I gave up on Stars a long time ago, right when they introduced expiry, just as all the complaints above, they all expired before anything decent came on. It was as if they expected me to spend all my points on wallpapers :/

Do stars expire before you input the code? If not, why don't you just hang onto the cards and only register them when something good goes on the shop?
