OMG Chuck Norris game on the PS3? Sony is quite good with games in Europe if you ask me. I've been out of the PlayStation loop since 2004 though, when my system broke. Personally I think Sony has a great bit of kit, much like the PSP. They've not got the content, and they've just not got the online service that Nintendo and Microsoft has. Hardware can't carry this system into the nth dimension. Mini Disc, beta max and to a lesser extent UMD are examples of this. Blu-Ray will fail because consumers aren't asking for a new format. Sony will do okay, but not great.

Literally, who is gonna let kids play in their GAME store on Nintendo WiFi? There will be no-where to sit.. if you sat on the floor playing a round of Mario Kart you'd probably get kicked out by security. I suppose it could increase sales if potential DS buyers saw you having fun.. but in my town people are pikeys and would milk it. Personally I'd rather sit in a warm McDonalds with a machine hot chocolate or something. At least you won't get hassled and can sit down. I think Nintendo is wasting it's money with these in store connections.

RupertMurdochSpace.com, formerly known as MySpace. I like it.

Hmm, interesting. Yahoo! did let flickr keep it's branding.. but they said that about Konfabulator too: now known as the tasteful 'Yahoo! Widgets' Google is a bigger name, even than YouTube.. it would be wise for there to be some cross over. But maybe that's part of the owners terms. They came up with YouTube and they want it kept.

YouTube has done fucking nothing to make it easy to organise? Have they seen their pages.. they are cluttered with adverts and links to poorly meta linked videos. Google will no doubt streamline and clean it up, make it more reliable. But YouTube really has done well.. they built rome in a few years. For Microsoft to worry AOL + Yahoo! and Google would have to get together to take on Microsoft. I don't see that happening with AOL's huge empire. They got an okay deal, Google video will be merged.. the YouTube name will no doubt get rebranded over time as to not confuse.

God just get this: So much better than anything that followed (I played 3/4 and one of the gimmick jackass spin-offs) I'll admit 'Project 8' looks like it's going back to the original formula thus far.

Sorry to veer offtopic, but it's loosely related. Anyone tried Sprite 3G? The reviewers canned it as a rip at £1.19 seeing as it had less caffeine than Red Bull at 99p. I liked the new coke energy drink Relentless, half a litre, fruit flavoured and vaguely tasty. QUITE HYPOCRITICAL saying you shouldn't drink bare sugary drinks, then I admit to drinking energy drinks.

I watched the late night Korean film on Film Four last night. R-point I think it was, was quite atmospheric but it didn't flow very well. It didn't seem like the modern classic that it was touted as.. but I was a bit tired. 6/10, worth it if you're into your foreign shit. otherwise give it a miss unless you're really open minded. Might get a rerun on Film Four this week.

Apparently the guidelines of what is considered clinically obese has changed making nearly half of all kids and 15% more adults clinically obese. We haven't grown overnight, they just reclassified the fatties. Personally the only diet I think that works is going Vegetarian. it forces you to cut off the fat, to ensure you get a decent meal and it's low in lots of nasty stuff.

Sci Fi Channel Australia coming December 1st 2006
Nintendork replied to Aussie's topic in General Chit Chat
When I had Sky (now I've got freeview) I barely watched this channel. And I'm a hardcore geek. I liked some of the b-movies though, har har that one with the chainsaw aliens.. ROFL. Blood everywhere. AHAHAH. I'm done reminscing, this isn't such a big deal for the hugely European demographic. But I suppose some geeks who can't afford box sets of their favourite shows might enjoy this. -
I'd do it, if they were smoothies of milkshakes. But I'm not a huge fan of sugared flavoured coloured water. So I don't care much for free refills. Basically Pizza goes with Beer anyway. It's like the heart and lungs. Drink more (Buxton) water too.

Not bad art and design work, more authentic than Sony's stab. Which got the reply: "I'd rather teabag a mime before I give Sony Corp. another dime."

http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/games/archives/2006/10/09/my_god_is_psygnosis_back.html I'll get it. I don't even have a PC. Solely because I support this kind of shit. Liverpool rules.

GameStation, relatively indie.. meets Microsoft corporate marketing blitzkrieg.

Pinball? Not heard of this thus far. I doubt it could beat the feeling of a real machine. But who can afford one of them these days?
-
Not more fun, but it ups the pace to that of a PC. Which means it is 'as fun' as the PC based FPS games.
-
(not on a DS lite) outside games..

Wii motes, likely. Virtual Console cards? Unlikely I say. Iwata said they're following a hybrid of the Xbox Arcade and iTunes models.. seeing as $20 on iTunes buys you 20 songs individually and only about 14 on the UK store lots of people would import. iTunes stops this because of VAT etc..

Virtual Console - All you need to know
Nintendork replied to Tellyn's topic in General Gaming Discussion
What sort of shoot 'em ups can we expect in Europe besides Gradius on the MSX? I really want to catch up on that genre.. good value for money those games as they're so hard. -
I heard flash photography and microwaves/similar devices. Not sunlight.

£29.99 I've said all along for online retailers.
