Reggie would own you if he heard you saying that. He has explained, core gamers are still important.. but it's just like the only child who has a baby brother or sister. Gets jealous because Nintendo has a new kid. It's perfectly natural. Wii Sports doesn't impress.. but just wait, there will be a hardcore Tennis game where you can move the character, run dive and put spin with the controller. As long as hardcore gamers have money, and no girlfriends they will still make games for you.

Hello? Is anyone there? Im going... (Wiimote speaker discussion)
Nintendork replied to Haden's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It only has enough memory for sound files that are a fraction of a second. Sorry.. in theory it could stream, but I don't think there is the bandwidth and there are syncing problems. It's really just intended to be surround sound on a budget.. you can use it for creaking doors as they open.. or a heart beat, a tap of a conductors baton or the hissing of a diving tank valve. There's plenty of ideas, but really it's just to enhance the atmosphere, make it a bit more involving. I am sure some genius will come up with some gameplay elements that involves the controller. Think Boppit. But it's hardly going to have the potential of the Wiimote's motion sensor. -
China could. I reckon

That's suprising the barcode's the same. Might get rid of my Meteos haven't played in 6 months. Ta.

Toshiba, IBM/Lenovo, Apple and Dell have all had battery recalls, it seems to be in the same time frame as me. Check the Toshiba website with your serial to see if you can get a free exchange.

Welcome to the forums, there's an 'everything you need to know' thread about the Wii at the top. Be sure to check there if you have any more questions. It's pretty good I hear.

Free mate, once you buy the game, and have paid for your internet access you can play unlimited for free (at the time of posting) However downloadable content, such as a SNES game will cost you Wii points in a one-off payment format. Hope this helps.

Haha, funny. If you check the dictionary. Outshine: To surpass in obvious excellence; outdo. I see no outshining, anywhere.. in terms of graphical style or performance. This is of course an entirely subjective statement. (you don't understand this bit) I consider the leap from XBOX to XBOX 360, and PS2 to PS3 to be truely outshining the previous games. Minor improvements? Yeah sure.. but outshining, no. My point is, stop being fanboys, it's not as good as you claim it to be and on Christmas day you'll just be letting yourselves down. I mean how juvenile.. of course Twilight Princess looks better than Wind Waker.. it's a completely different style, thus a flawed comparison. Mario Galaxy isn't all that. Don't get me wrong, I'll buy both.. but the difference between the 'whingers' like myself and you fanboys is simple: I am not kidding myself that the graphics will rox0rz my b0x0rz. I will just enjoy the game for what it is, you will be getting hooked up on the graphics right up until the day the Wii launches.. then you'll realise. It's not much better. I am done here.. the reason why I am the only one arguing is because every sane forumite who knows anything about graphics has given up on you fuckers and can't be arsed to post. I am now joining them.

Shut up you hypocrit, it was you yesterday running around saying it's just a GameCube with waggle.. it basically is. If you're trying to be a smart arse and think I'm referring to PS3 or 360 games then whatever. I will rephrase it. Nothing on the Wii thus far outshines the GameCube, in motion or not.

North Korea and Iran have balls. They can handle their own. Something George W. doesn't understand. He'll get his bluff called.

Ashley will tell you that they don't take imported games, of course Japanese games will go for more, they're imported. And people are scared of importing thus will pay premiums for UK sellers. Big Brain academy is still a premium game, selling well. Are you sure you'd get £5? Most DS games are £25 second hand in GAME.. I really doubt they'd mark you up 300%. It'd probably have a resale value of £15., thus probably getting you £10.

Happened to mine too, used to last 6 hours on average use.. now it lasts 20 minutes. Mine is part of the Sony recall which is currently happening. You should check if you are qualified.. Sony are picking up the bill for faulty batteries.

It is expensive because the controller. Simple as that. Nothing outshines anything on the Cube thus far, in motion or not. The controller technology, sensor bar and stuff is 70% of the system's cost I heard.
-
Absolutely subjective question, it's near impossible to compare.. except for the XBOX. As that is based directly on PC architecture. People will argue.. but it's a pointless question really. Sorry I don't have an answer for you..

Clever consumers will use wireless, end of the day very few people will use these.. it's being produced in small batches.. probably only a few thousand initially. It costs a lot to distribute devices in small quantities. Most retailers know it wont sell so they want a decent profit margin on it. Which is why it costs more. The DS WiFi dongle works fine, that's a reasonable price.

I make up statistics to back up my own conclusions. 76% of you are arseholes. 24% of statistics are bullshit.

Listing fees, plus PayPal fees, plus postage fees (+ increase) plus packaging, plus work. Makes trade ins not such a bad deal these days.. it's not so bad for Cube games because eBay isn't swamped.. but for the PS2 trade-ins aren't so unnatractive in town. Even with shops' markup prices.

Sci Fi Channel Australia coming December 1st 2006
Nintendork replied to Aussie's topic in General Chit Chat
Bum farts it was, a woman space captain? What a ridiculous idea. (I am not sexist) Next Generation was. -
Our GameStation has a bin for games without cases, they're all a couple of quid. Obviously the disk is the priority.. but if you lose the manuals, or the cases and sleves you get less. GAME do this too, but they only have a few. I picked up Double Dash for a couple of quid because it had no case or manual. It was just wrapped up in a paper sleeve and placed in a see through plastic wallet. The GBA games are real bargains.. you just get it in a little plastic case without anything. You can get GBA stuff for like £3

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Nintendork replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Zelda is hardly known for it's engrossing plot twists and turns. You'll all ruin it for yourselves I'm sure. I'm gonna play it slowly. -
You don't have to use the big swings if you don't want to, the Wii is able to scale the movements. If you want to sit down and only flick your wrist around in your lap.. then that's absolutely fine. It will pick up your spin.. direction and speed exactly the same. However it will be more sensitive. The big swings and dramatics are merely for effect.. it makes the system look more fun. The other one was too big. and shit.

If you have enough games then you can, but you'd need a lot of games. Their trade in prices are really poor. I was offered £1-2 for some premium PS2 games in great quality. Went into GAME and got £5 each for a couple of them.. I've never noticed them forcing you to pay cash as well.. but I've not traded in there since it opened about 2 years ago.

International Forum favourite, it has been posted before in the flash junk thread, but I think this deserves it's own thread. Hapland is a adventure flash game.. you have to explore objects, timing and interact them to light up some temple portal. It's tough.. some take days, some people get them in an hour. Could've posted this in Other Consoles.. but it's pretty mainstream and everyone can enjoy it. Please don't post spoilers, it really is quite rewarding doing it yourself (or with a friend via instant message) Good luck. Hapland. Hapland 2. Hapland 3. Raining today, i'm working on Hapland 3.. add me on [email protected] if you want to work in a group convo on it.

Nintendo invented trees? OMG.

It's not that big of a deal, he probably just picked it up off someone else. I remember spouting loads of bullshit when I was his age.. back on topic please.
