The license fee on an internet cable, and the implications it would have had to the design are reason enough to not support ethernet as standard. I don't have a router or wireless yet, but I acknowledge that Nintendo did the right thing. Wireless is the future.. it is your responsibility to secure it and set it up properly. Ethernet is for people living in the past.. or those who lack the knowledge to get wireless running. You can't say wireless is expensive.. it's a very competitive market and i've seen routers and dongles for less than £30.

Don't go to the Apple store, they rip you off often. Get a generic Sony one, dabs/ebuyer are typically good for such devices.. though if you are familiar and confident shopping on eBay then give it a go. Apple Store is great for Apple products at retail price.. but for accesories and other devices you get a poor selection, often from premium suppliers which will charge extra. Sony are strong supporters of Apple for external burners, there was an article about a year or two ago before Super Drive went mainstream.

WiiConnect24 = Patches, which means freeloader will have to be periodically updated to evade Nintendo's patches. That is innevitable. I really wanted to take advantage of the virtual console a lot.. which is why I'm waiting.

Nobody likes paying Nintendo Europe's prices, especially with the prospect of getting a poorer and later selection of games. Just wait and see what the facts are first.. the fact that it is region locked does not mean that the system will have only region specific titles. That is unless Nintendo Europe is retarded. I wish Nintendo UK could gain independance from Nintendo Europe meaning we get games the same time as the US because there will be one language conversion.

It's not. People just want NintendoConnect24 to be there at launch (WHICH IT WON'T BE) On another note, if you want to be gay and play Pong online there's a Firefox plugin that allows you to do so. I really don't think there will be loads of patches in the way you guys are thinking also. Patches won't be like ones on Steam.. they'll probably be minor bolt on content and expansion packs. Nothing core to the gameplay experience.

IGN Cube is reporting that Capcom has Resident Evil 1, Zero and 4 planned for a collector's tin priced at $39.99 (about £21) No word on any collector's goodies but apparently the game will simply be the retail versions, no added content or original artwork. Might get a plushie or some left over promo stuff. With the launch of the Wii.. a less than mature line up and GameCube backwards compatibility I'm sure this will be a huge success at that price. e.mailed Capcom Europe to see if we can get it too.

It's the 10th anniversary of the N64 right now and I don't think OoT has dated one bit, the visuals might be a bit drab but I love it hard. I didn't play it first time around so the bonus disc was a real uber bonus. SHUT UP

Metal Gear Solid: the Twin Snakes, Killer7, Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 1 (I don't care what you said above), Ikaruga, Mario Sunshine, Star Wars Rogue Leader? Splinter Cell? XIII?
