I'll be upgrading to vista a couple of years after it's released. By then they'll have gotten rid of most fatal bugs I hope. And getting one straight from the launch seems like a waste of resources.

Pulp fiction 10/10 What can be said? It's a classic. But I just saw the first time yesterday. "Royale with cheese"

I though it was like that a couple of years ago. Isn't it now that the people of the countries vote for their favourite? And yes the current finnish entry is the best this country has ever sent there. 7/10. It's good but imo almost all the songs from their "get heavy" - album are better.

Thank you, virtualdub seems to be exactly what I was looking for

You just described me... It's a bit scary to be honest. So yes I feel exactly like you. I just bury myself with work/hobbies. Takes my mind off things. And you just have to be patient. Suicide isn't an option. You'd just traumatize your family/ friends. But some advice that I can agree on: if you're trying to get a girl, stay sober. And it could be worse; you could be the designated driver. There's nothing more boring than to watch your friends getting hammered while you can't take a drop of alcohol.

There's actually a better tool for that. Go to start-->run...-->type "msconfig" and hit enter. On the services and startup tabs it lists all the stuff that's loaded during startup. You can also enable/disable them. So you don't have to make backups of your registry if you decide to disable some service. But don't touch anything there that you don't know about. There's a possibility that you break your current setup if you fool around with it too much. But anyone know any free video editing software?

What "NDAs expire on April 20th" thing? Seems like I missed yet another rumour.

I forgot about crysis completely But it has that EA- logo so I'm a bit worried... UT2007 would be nice too, but there's just too many good fps's coming. And I'm glad that this ww2 boom seems to be over.

There is some kind of peripheral for pc that tracks your head's position. It's mainly used in flightsims where you can turn your head too see out of the planes window. And the pc gamers have too much money? Get a job so you will have too... I mean a year ago I had little or no money to spend on games/systems. Now I could buy a kick-ass pc and xbox360+games for it. I find the post on the other forum to be pure speculation. And e3 isn't that far away.

Doom 7/10 This was better than I expected, a nice action movie. But the plot isn't going to win any awards... If you don't like excessive gore don't watch this movie. It has enough blood to fill a couple blood banks. And some internal organs are flying all over the place as well.

We all know what you are probably waiting for mostly from this years e3 but what about the pc games? Personally I'm waiting for these: 1. Armed Assault link It's a sequel or an engine update for Operation flashpoint. There were new screens released on their site few days ago, and it looks sweet. Imho nothing has yet beaten ofp in war sims. And when there's fdf mod out for this, I'll be glued to my pc for quite a long time 2. Alan wake link A psychological action thriller. This got gamespot's best of e3 editor's choice award. It's from the team that made max payne. Go watch the trailer to find out more 3. Enemy territory: Quake wars link After reading an article from edge about this game I want it, badly. 4. Spore I probably don't need to say anything about this one. So what pc games are you waiting for?

I don't know if it's a dos game or something, but this site has a list of slowdown programs that can be used. You could try some of them to see if it helps.

I'm curious, does this game feel like Battlezone 1&2 on the pc? As I love those games. When I get the time I will buy this game. Renting games is not too bad, as I played through CBFD in a weekend. Didn't have the money to buy it that time. Now I can't find it anywhere.

Just set the recording source to wave and you can record it from any recording software you like.

You have a proxy? As that might explain the IP problem.

As this is an essential software thread, I made a little wish list for programs that I would like. 1. E-mail, I have 3 different e-mail adresses and don't want to log in to the web- based inbox constantly. 2. Free video editing software, which has more features than windows movie maker. And has a built in encoder to xvid or similar. 3. A free external encoder program Can't think of anything else I need at the moment, would like to hear about how the programs have worked for you. As I find feedback from actual users more helpful than just recommendations off somewhere.

Usually MSN saves the files to my files\received files . Just checked, a couple of music files were blocked on my pc as well. But they weren't when I received them a month or two ago...

What are you doing writing to these forums? Get back to drawing the next one! NOW! :p So yes, I like it.Totally agree on anything already said in this thread. You Could update it more often though But don't let the quality suffer.

I think that if you right click on the file and choose properties, there's a button which allows you to use the file.

The dudesons: It's not a movie as it has no plot. It's like the jackass movie, but the stunts these guys do are way crazier. And if one goes wrong, it could be fatal or result in a serious injury. Actually a couple of times they do get hurt. I'll give it 5/10 as it has some funny moments. Swordfish: An action movie. Period. 6/10

You need an usb dongle or a pci wifi card for the pcs. Then you need a router and an internet connection to which you'll hook up your router. The manuals which come with the router/card/dongles will help you to get the network setup working. Remember to use encrypted connection! Unless you live middle of nowhere like me. The closest house is about 150meters away. The easiest way to get your ds to work is to buy a Buffalo whr-hp-g54-2 It has aoss which is supported by ds. A downside for this router is a not so good range. But I reckon the pc's aren't that far away. Your internet speed will be divided for the two comps, but not always as 50-50. It depends on how much the pc needs the bandwidth. About aol I don't know as we don't have that here. But I can't see why it wouldn't. Perhaps someone other can tell more about that.

Well I was kinda hoping that activisions can throw some innovations to the basic downhill skating idea. But I'm just tired of the hawk games. I don't think that much have been added to them since thps3.

He's finally 18! Happy Birthday Mr Jordan
Bogbas replied to Domstercool's topic in General Chit Chat
Habby birthday My advice: get so drunk that you don't remember anything for the night But not that much that you get an alcohol poisoning. Then tomorrow you'll be so hungover that you'll remember your 18th birthday for the rest of your life. -
Isn't downhill skating where the dude lies on his back on a skateboard, and goes downhill? So if it is I reckon that there would be no need for grinds, or 900s or the like. They'll probably add some jumps to it to make it fun, but I don't think that this will be like the other hawks. Or at least hope that it isn't.

I just want to get one. For me it doesn't really matter even if the euro launch slips to 2007. I just hope that they don't rush the thing too much. As I don't want my rev to break down because of poor quality...
