  1. But great/good/etc are subjective. He wants "better" (exclusive) games from his perspective of what he likes/wants. He didn't say "there's no great and/or well received games". He's just got very specific interests and tastes and the Switch hasn't delivered that for him.
  2. I don't know why you're surprised. Final Fantasy is known for its random encounters.
  3. I'm weirdly curious what it was saying before. Probably just something off like "punch many times" but for some reason it's piqued my interest
  4. Yeah I doubt they put in a worse battery, but rather they're asking the same battery to do even more and thus it runs out more quickly. It sucks, but I very much doubt they thought "well let's make this part worse".
  5. The one time I might get something and I have no points. Alas.
  6. It was about three months. I think it was technically unveiled in October but a teaser as much as anything (maybe focused on form factor), with the main showing in January. Would I like a new console? Yes. But I don't expect it. As you mention, Nintendo doesn't really have any incentives to release one at the moment and they have shown in the past they tend to leave consoles to die out slowly when they're popular. Plus we've not heard any rumours yet, which usually proceed an unveiling by about 6 months. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo start talking to developers towards the end of next year, but can't see anything coming soon.
  7. And while I've been asleep... That policy update was removed and reversed and now he's put out a poll asking if he should step down (allegedly his investors have told him to step down and this is him trying to make it look like he's just listening to the people but obviously speculation). How some people still think of him as some kind of genius is beyond me. I wish more places would start pointing out he's been involved with a lot of successful companies rather than having created because a) he didn't create them and b) clearly they've worked in spite of him rather than because of him
  8. So this week Captain Apartheid has managed to: 1. Go against a former promise to not ban the account that tweets info on his private jet flights (public information) 2. Ban journalists who covered the story 3. Run a poll asking when they should be allowed back with a few options. When "now" won did another with just 2 options and when "now" won again unbanned *most* of them 4. During this joined a Spaces with most of them present (turns out if you're banned you can still join) and left in a huff 5. An app update a few hours later removed the spaces icon from the bottom shelf 6. An update sometime later returned it 7. Has stated that tweets that reference most other social media sites, or linking to them in your account, is against the rules and will be removed and you may be suspended. This has already resulted in legal experts saying this is against the law in various places
  9. There's no helping Final Fantasy fans
  10. And your only shipping options are like $25 and $30!
  11. Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster -FF35th Anniversary Edition is a ridiculous name, but very fitting for a ridiculous franchise. 1-3 are €10 and 4-5 €15 (prices are rough conversions from GBP) on Steam so 12.5 is about right as an average.
  12. Unsurprisingly we won't be returning to Blockbuster. https://tvline.com/2022/12/16/blockbuster-cancelled-season-2-randall-park-melissa-fumero-netflix-comedy/
  13. See that breaks my brain because it likes to think "1998 = ages ago, Simpsons episode I remember = recent".
  14. Qualified as a personal trainer yesterday. It's nice to have started the year feeling like I needed to make a change and ending it having done so, even if it's not quite the change I expected. I don't think that's going to be my future until retirement or anything, but after years in front of a computer it'll be nice to step away from that.
  15. I've watched most of the first two so far (skipped over the segments about how the two guys are BFFs because who cares) but yeah my first thought was "so that's what The Simpsons episode was based on".
  16. Yeah I did think Zelda is probably likely to get some. Guess we'll find out soon because as someone on Twitter pointed out, that game is out in 149 days.
  17. They're still pushing this grift? 😋 Jokes aside, is it just Smash they're releasing them for now? Used to be a time whereby every big Nintendo game had ones and it seems to have stopped as far as I can recall.
  18. Sony seem to be shopping out their biggest franchises lately. https://tvline.com/2022/12/14/god-of-war-tv-series-kratos-norse-prime-video/
  19. I might do at some point but I don't have the energy to change my password again right now.
  20. I think this is saying the American one is opening in February but its very much word vomit. And shame on them for shrinking Peach to make the Mario brothers feel taller.
  21. I didn't get an email (rude) but I would suspect my most played is Mario & Rabbids, or maybe Arceus. They're about equal. Plus Kirby would be on the "got at release" list too but I need to put more time into that.
  22. I think the last open world game I played was Arceus and don't recall having the same issues, but maybe because there was so little in the world that it was easier in a way. The worlds here are a bit too cluttered. It's funny really; the last game was criticised for being too corridor-ey and now this. Maybe third times a charm.
  23. Done most of the fourth world now and going to go back and do some of those challenges that require a certain amount of sparks. I'm enjoying the game but I think the biggest downsides to me are some of the puzzles are ambiguous and/or i don't care so I just look online (such as the potion one in world 4, i had no desire to decipher it and it was long-winded in the end) and i find navigating around the worlds pretty confusing. It feels like there's not enough landmarks or identifiable things so I'm running around a lot and constantly opening and closing the map. The main gameplay (the battles) are still great though and I enjoy the variety of them and the sparks do add a good new twist to it all.
  24. In fairness Holocaust denialism is a thing in the real world so...
