Hero-of-Time Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Come on Nintendo. Give me the Christmas Present I want. I'll love you forever if you do. THIS! I wanna get my Mana on it time for Christmas!
Guest Captain Falcon Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 THIS! I wanna get my Mana on it time for Christmas! Who doesn't?
Hero-of-Time Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Just scored this off Eurogamer Nintendo plans to add brilliant Square Enix Super Nintendo action role-player Secret of Mana to the Wii Virtual Console on Boxing Day. This is one of our all-time SNES favourites, and at 800 Wii Points (GBP 6 / EUR 8 approx) we've no need to be asked twice. Consider the three-player co-op, upgradable weapons, ridable dragon and epic plot and you shouldn't need much prompting either. Punchable rabbit-things, too. Even now the words "ring menu system" give us chills. The same day also hails the arrival of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 from the days of the Master System. Sonic was good back then, and at 500 Points (GBP 3.50 / EUR 5 approx) it's a cheap trip down memory lane, where Tails is invited to cross the road without looking. Splat.
Serebii Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 This moment is so good that I want to have sex with it.
ShadowV7 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Yes. YES. YES. YES. Finally, we get this on the VC, and Sonic 2 at the same time. T'is gonna be a good Christmas. I love this moment so much I want to have sex with Serebii since he slept with it.
darksnowman Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Great stuff! I'll leave you guys to orgy it out between yourselves though... Is that Sonic game any use?
Hero-of-Time Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Yes. YES. YES. YES. I'll have what he's having! Is that Sonic game any use? All the Master System Sonic games were a bit naff, I wouldnt bother.
nekunando Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Is that Sonic game any use? If you're gonna go for a Sonic 2, spend the extra 300 points and get the Mega Drive version.. top game
ThePigMarcher Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Just scored this off Eurogamer Hell yeah. : peace: I have a huge backlog of games to get through but this one will need to jump the queue.
Serebii Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 They've added online co-op o__O Say what? What are you on about
ShadowV7 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Online co-op? No such mention of the thing.
Ike Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 No early update this year then? I'm glad to see we're finally going to get Mana though. I have my points ready to purchase it with.
dazzybee Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Sorry I was just being silly! Nintendo don't change their VC games!! Shame
Portlett Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 so glad secret of mana is out friday, but how am I gonna have enough time to play that and all the games Ive invested in and been bought for xmas?
Guest Captain Falcon Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Yay! It's finally here (about blooming time too) - just downloaded it. I really should get some sleep as I'm worn out but I'll give it a quick go anyway.
ShadowV7 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Hmm, I should get round to downloading it this very instant, but I just got home and i'm tired to later
Hero-of-Time Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Look what Japan is getting next month Famicom (500 Wii Points) - Detective Saburo Jinguuji: The Dangerous Duo Part One* - Getsufuu Maden - Zoids: Mokushiroku Nintendo 64 (1,200 Wii Points) - Super Smash Brothers Master System (500 Wii Points) - Fantasy Zone II: Opa Opa no Namida Mega Drive (600 Wii Points) - Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair PC Engine - Rastan Saga 2 - Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu (800) - Spelunker mark 2 (800) - Champion Wrestler Why the hell do they get a release list for their VC games yet we have to play the wait and see game?
Tellyn Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Why the hell do they get a release list for their VC games yet we have to play the wait and see game? And even then, our releases are mostly lacklustre. Speaking of which, I have a spare 800 Wii Points and I fancy a VC game. What should I get?
Tellyn Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 Secret of Mana Aha, I thought you'd say that. I'm not sure, RPGs don't tend to hold my attention for more than a few hours. Golden Sun, Paper Mario and Super Mario RPG are the three in which I've made the most progress. I was thinking of getting Dynamite Headdy, Ristar or something on the SNES. Suggestions other than Mana please?

Ah, but those RPGs are all Turn-Based which are boring (yes I realise I'm the one saying that) Secret of Mana on the other hand is more like Zelda with a level-up system

If you haven't got either of these... Streets of Rage 2 Streets of Rage 3 Then get 2 but if you allready have 2 then get 3, that's my recommendation, I was playing 3 the other day (because I'm less familiar with it) and it's awesome.
