About the "Home" button, I asume it's like the button in the 360 controller which pops up the main menu, and the "+", "-" buttons for the changing of the channels, just like the TV remotes.

As for the on-screen keyboard, you won't need to use it, if you have a USB keyboard.

Nope, I've had a 3-way WiFi ad-hoc network up and running before. It took ages to get working though....

What were the difficulties setting this up? Just to see if Nintendo would be able to work around those pitfalls.

But now that I think about it : they were able to do it with the DS. Granted, that is't Nintendos own protocol, but they could do the same with the Wii.

Suddenly I think that the chances are high that you can have a Wii lan-party without bringing a router.:bouncy:

Where do I put the bread?

In the PS3 of course. Right next to the sausages.

The point of the blue light. MIND BEAM!!!!!!one one

On the Nintendo fusion tour and apparently the Wii units at the conferences, the blue light wasnt on apparently. Im looking into it now..

EDIT: Looked at conference pictures, light is on.

Fusion tour however...

Doesnt look very promising, but the picture is taken from a slight distance.

EDIT2: Made thread, more proof there.

Also, the Wii DS connectivity hasnt been discussed.

I can't really remember, but it was mainly due to the internet coming into 1 PC and sharing it to 2 other computers, the other computers couldn't see each other. I had to put in multiple DNS addresses and stuff.

+1 Rep to Moria for not using "Wii" in the Topic title.

I hate it how there have been so many puns, its got to the point now where people don't actually say 'we' anymore when talking about the Wii but just change it to 'Wii'. I would expect The Sun to do something like that, but not a dedicated Nintendo forum 5 months after the name was announced.

Is the stand a power supply?

We still don't know whether Wii will be a success or failure for Nintendo.

I call success, it's cheap, it's quiet, it's small, well designed.. fun, accesible.

Nintendo has an army of DS owners on right side and a pretty solid launch.

The PS3 will get nothing more than a slight utter of press this Christmas in Europe.. I guess Nintendo and Microsoft will have very solid Christmas'

I don't know tbh.. cynics will say yes.

It doesn't make sense why they would to me, I think Nintendo UK's David Yarnton has a reputation of being an absolute dick head.

'DS is definitely not getting a remake'- 2 days later Iwata unveils the DS lite in 3 new colours.

I've not seen anything from Nintendo of America/Japan that says explicitly Wii games will be region coded.

Not that I've been looking that hard because I want it to be untrue.

Edit- Nintendo of America spokesperson (no name accountable to this statement) via Joystiq says that the Wii and all first party titles will be region locked. No mention of third party titles.. the statement says that there have been conflicting reports.

I'd like to hear it from Reggie or Iwata if I'm honest..
