Calza Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Whats the best Studio Ghilibi film? Might just ask a friend to get me for christmas one, but not say which (except Spirited Away which I have). Mine is probably Princess Mononoke but Laputa and My Neighbourhood Totoro are pretty good too.
Ten10 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Can't say I liked Howl's Moving castle. It felt pretty pointless to me, the whole thing was lacking in the interesting story department for me.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Porco Rosso was the best one as far as i'm concerned. Then Laputa. You know it too be true.
Guest Jordan Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Mai Otome Zwei OVA part 1 is now out from Doremi subs! Woo!
Supergrunch Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Mai Otome Zwei OVA part 1 is now out from Doremi subs! Woo! Is it any good, and what's it about?
Ten10 Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Death note 10 should be subbed either today or tomorrow. Ep 10 raw has been released as of today.
Shorty Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Why does this thread have a 1-star rating *sigh* victim of the idiot brigade like all the other threads. I'm super excited for new Naruto, and rumours abound that there's only 2 episodes of the current Bleach arc left. I'm also trying to watch One Piece. I went a long time without trying it even though it's one of the biggest names, and I'm finding it fun Edit: Oooh, the latest Bleach showcases the new movie in the OP and ED. Looks good, shame we won't get a fansub for about a year....
mcj metroid Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Mine is probably Princess Mononoke but Laputa and My Neighbourhood Totoro are pretty good too. i havent seen that much of them but i cant see any been much better than mononoke.Spirited away i think was one.it's ok bit over rated mind i feel a like a good violent manga movie with a good plot.Any recommendation?if it helps i love akira and urotsukidoji.legend of the demon womb(if i spelt it wrong sue me please)
Dante Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Bad news Death Note fans. Death Note ep 12 is episode recap. After Death Note ep 13 is a two weeks break

Shino Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 My friend has got me into death note and Suzumiya Haruhi, which I hadn't looked at until now. They are both most excellent. All the excitement here about Death Note didn't made you even slightly curious? HOLLLYYY SHIIT DEATH NOTE keeps getting more interesting. What ep did you watch?
Supergrunch Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 All the excitement here about Death Note didn't made you even slightly curious? ...I had too much work to think. Plus, I'd saved all my anime thinking space for Higurashi. But now 'tis the Christmas holiday, so all is well.
darkcloud Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Episode 11 was cool, I already knew the outcome of that episode though...... Seeing Harajuku in that ep made me miss Japan again. >.>;; I never did get the trainers I wanted from there either. ; ;
Supergrunch Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I don't know if they've been posted before, but I'm liking the parodies in Haruhi... Phoenix Wright: Higurashi:
Happenstance Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Did anyone pick up the SFX anime special? I havent managed to read it all so far but what I have got through was good.
Shorty Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I don't know if they've been posted before, but I'm liking the parodies in Haruhi... No offence man but we all found and discussed these 6 months ago glad you're liking the series, the end will blow you away. It became one of my favourite ever series, probably my favourite short anime. Just watched Death Note 9, 10, 11. 9 was awesome. That line: "I am L"... so cool!
Hellfire Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I'm watching Welcome to NHK and Nana right now and loving them.
