Good as place as any to ask really; Japanese Anthropological Journals/Books.

 

My lecturer has said that I probably won't be able to easily relate DN to Japanese society, being as I don't live in it, so I should try UK instead but I just feel Japanese would be better. (Actually I feel that saying it was intended for a Japanese audience but relatable to Western audiences too is better but she didn't bite).

Just watched Bleach 166, finally a good Bleach episode! It's really well done, not only because of the art, but because Ichigo's not fighting like a emo zombie and the fight is very well coreographed instead of GETSUGA TENSHOU GETSUGA TENSHOU GETSUGA TENSHOU GETSUGA TENSHOU GETSUGA TENSHOU GETSUGA TENSHOU! Thumbs up.

Group called Tadashi did a translation of Soul Eater. I don't recommend it. The video quality seems to be worse than the others and their translation seems way off when compared to the others. So far the best I've seen is LoneWolf. Rumbel subs didn't work on MPC for some reason, although they loaded fine on VLC (which then proceeded to murder them).

Well... im seeing a lot of Animes in this Spring, but the best (without counting One Piece) is without any doubt... Soul Eater :D

 

My god, is just like One Piece, it mixes humor and Action, it has great characters with great personalities, and the story is a little cliché but cool :D

 

And we're still in the Prologue, i can't wait to the next episode :X

 

Death Kid, or something like that, gosh, first we have a guy who wants to be cool but can't handle with chicks, then a guy who thinks is big but is a failure with his arrogance, and now a guy who is a big fighter but is obssesed by Perfection, its so awesome xD

Kurenai and

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki.

 

I think everyone should give kurenai a go, could be the under appreciated show for the season.

 

EDIT: oh also Mnemosyne if the 3rd episode pulls me in

I think im the only one to think that Mnemosyne is a pure Fan-Service show with no good story in it, right?

 

Anyway, Domjcg, ok, but don't spoil me, this is Anime Thread, not Manga Thread :P

I've been listening to the Eureka 7 OST recently and it's got some great songs on it! Makes me want to watch it again! :grin:

 

I watched To love Ru Episode 2 the other day and they are deviating from the manga a fair bit but it still quite funny though brainless! :D

 

I also watched Golgo 13 yesterday which felt very much like old school anime and was full of testosterone as this man Golgo 13 is ruthless i wouldn't want to cross his path! i found the pacing to be a it slow but the action was exciting! :)

 

My favourites of the Spring So far are Soul Eater and Kyouran Kazoku Nikki they struck a cord with me straight away where as others just haven't!

I posted what I thought a while ago, that's why i'll only continue to watch if ep 3 pulls me in story wise, otherwise it is just horror porn.

Anyway, and just one more thing about Soul Eater i love, the opening, is priceless :D

There's the description in the Third episode, i don't know if its worth reading, but the description is so long, that it might be good in story :o

 

The opening is great! :grin: It drew me into the show immediately! :D

 

I've been looping it for 2 hours, its pure greatness :)

If you're listening to the CDs that song Storywrite is by far the best song on them. It just has that something to it. I will check out this Kyouran Kazoku Nikki.
