Yeah. But a word of warning... those bulk sets are probably best watched using VLC media player. It has a blend interlacing option that will eliminate the "movement lines" that preside over bootleg kingdom. I was looking at this set myself - it's a real bargain. This is not to say that set has interlacing errors, but it's something to be aware of. Also be aware the subs will be a bit Engrishy. For example some names are wrong... but aside that it's great. I have most of the Manga International DBZ sets and couldn't be happier with them.

I've been rewatching the nastily edited episodes of DB on Youtube, and I intend on giving Z another shot afterward.

ZeldaFreak
Went in travelling man to buy Final Fantasy: Unlimited (Phase 2). Also went into Virgin Megastore in Newcastle, no anime at all.
Domstercool
If it is the same set I have then it is brilliant. But it doesn't seem to be as it's only on 6 discs, mine was on 18 discs. That one seems to be a homemade custom set done by downloading episodes. HKDVDs are usually DVDrips or very good TV rips done by large Hong Kong companies. That one seems to be a homemade custom set done by downloading episodes. HKDVDs are usually DVDrips or very good TV rips done by large Hong Kong companies. It's practically the same set you have. What it is is essentially an even lower cost bootleg of the original bootleg. This is why I said about the interlacing and stuff since my friend picked up a bootleg of MI's original DBZ DragonBox bootleg and it was full of vertical movement lines. Deinterlacing set to blend usually sorts this. The three disc collection is definately going to be slightly better quality than the 6 disc one. Shame the 3 disc sets don't seem to pop up as often anymore. How old is the Dragonball series?30 years old? Over 20. It began in Shonen Jump in 1984 a year before I was born. It ran until 1995 incorporating DragonBall Z.
Domstercool
The quality must be pretty low if it's all the eps on only 6 DVDs. The one I have is great quality, each disc has around 9 eps on spanning 18 discs. Now I read alot into HKDVDs as I buy a huge load of them, and they usually get really pixelly when you start to add more than 9 eps per disc. This is true. 9 is pretty much the most you can fit before it starts to get dodgy. I haven't bought a bootleg for ages, saying that. I really need to pick up the new Guyver series. demonmike04
Dom, were do you get your HK-DVD's from? Didnt you get the entire Naruto dvd collection a while ago? Im interested in getting it myself.
Domstercool
Still watching my Naruto DVD here. I'm on episode 158 at the moment. Edit for Demonmike04: I've got them from many places. EBay is a decent place if you know what you are actually getting from the customer. http://www.importanime.com is also a good place to check on reviews of HKDVDs to see the quality of them. They also sell them, but don't really stock all that much. Other good sites that I have used are: http://www.nextdayanime.com/ http://www.sundevildvd.com/store/home.php http://www.discountanimedvd.com/ Hope that helps

Domstercool
Ah thank you Just one more question, is each DVD part half or the full series? Depends on the series you get. Most 26 episode ones are usually all together in one set.
Shorty
ひどいよ。 ひどいよ、圭一くん! Yes, I'm bored enough to quote tsumihoroboshi-hen. Why not quote it in English, I know you like showing us how good your Japanese is, but quoting it to us in Japanese isn't really much use to the majority

Supergrunch
I still don't know what it says ¬_¬ what does it says?! Horrible. You're horrible Keiichi-kun! Quoted from (I think) episode 25 of Higurashi... I just like the way Rena says it. Edit: If you want romaji, its: "Hidoi yo. Hidoi yo, Keiichi-kun!" Shino
Hmm, i've been asking a few of my friends this question and i've been getting mixed responses, so im gonna see how it turns out on this forums. Death Note: Would you use it? Damn right I would! I can imagine myself, watching a football match, and when my team is about to strike, I would kill the opponent's goalkeeper. That and people I dislike even if it's slightly.

The3rdChildren
Hmm, i've been asking a few of my friends this question and i've been getting mixed responses, so im gonna see how it turns out on this forums. Death Note: Would you use it? No. For one, I'm not a mentalist that believes through murder one can accomplish a utopia. I believe it's wrong to take the life of anyone or anything needlessly and therefore using Death Note would be out of the question. Perhaps the death of criminals is warrented, but the innocent lives lost along the way certainly puts it out of the question. I'd set it aside but never use it. That way it wouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

Shorty
Rofl at Osaka picture. As for death note... erm, no, obviously I wouldn't use it. Because, I'm not a murderer? Perhaps if it saved the lives of good people at the cost of one terrible person.... Eeek, it's a bit of a Vash the Stampede style crisis
