DiemetriX Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 The 1up show. Click the 09/15/2006 Episode. We get to se them testing some games. And talking about them. Zelda with swordslashing looks soo amazing. Overall they wheren't so pleased with the Wii. But I think everything looks like a blast. Some foul language in this clip.
blender Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Yeah saw this. Good episode. I think they are right. Not enough games that are particularly interesting at launch.
demonmike04 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Downloading now...pretty big file too, how long is it?
Phube Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Yeah saw this. Good episode. I think they are right. Not enough games that are particularly interesting at launch. Hmmm, surely this is a very personal statement, and as such should be preceded/ended with "In my opinion". Whereas in my opinion I really want (and will get) 3 launch titles, and would like about 3/4 more!! Isn't this enough for any sane (read 'non-millionaire') person!!!
blender Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Hmmm, surely this is a very personal statement, and as such should be preceded/ended with "In my opinion". "I think they are right." .... i.e. I think their opionion which seems to be .... "Not enough games that are particularly interesting at launch." is correct In my opinion, you are nit picking which is boring
DCK Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Can't be bothered to download it, but they can't possibly be dissappointed by the launch line up. Zelda, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, Red Steel... Best launch lineup ever I tell you.

Of course it's his personal opinion. Would he write it if it wasn't? I'm sick of that political correctness crap.
DiemetriX Posted September 19, 2006 Author Posted September 19, 2006 You don't need to download it. Just stream it ^^
demonmike04 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 streamings shite..well with my computer. So i download. Still downloading..need faster internet..

Caris Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I have a bad feeling about the Wii, i know IGN and Gamespot were also un-impressed when they tryed it a few month back.
Phube Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Of course it's his personal opinion. Would he write it if it wasn't? I'm sick of that political correctness crap. It's not PC, it's just a bug-bear of mine, people who state opinion as fact!! Just annoys me...
DiemetriX Posted September 19, 2006 Author Posted September 19, 2006 I have a bad feeling about the Wii, i know IGN and Gamespot were also un-impressed when they tryed it a few month back. I also feel doubt building up inside me. Hurry Nintendo, playing is beliving.. right? I wanna belive!
Kurtle Squad Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I have a bad feeling about the Wii, i know IGN and Gamespot were also un-impressed when they tryed it a few month back. Actually..didn't IGN just dislike some of the Red Steel & Metroid controls?
Caris Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 The main thing that really worrys me is look at zleda shaking your hands etc i think they will ache to hell after an hours worth of playing...
Colin Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 The 1up show. Click the 09/15/2006 Episode. We get to se them testing some games. And talking about them. Zelda with swordslashing looks soo amazing. Overall they wheren't so pleased with the Wii. But I think everything looks like a blast. Some foul language in this clip. Considering that all of them except one had had extensive play time with the console at E3, then it makes sense for them to come out with these comments. Software wise though (except Zelda), it looks really weak for must-haves at launch.
Teppo Holmqvist Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Actually..didn't IGN just dislike some of the Red Steel & Metroid controls? Red Steel and Metroid controls, yup. And latest build of Metroid fix'd that.
Owen Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Perhaps Nintendo's approach of keeping it a secret for so long and releasing little snippets every 8 months has had a slightly bad effect and makes playing the Wii for the first time a Anti-Climax after wating so long? I reckon the more you play with it the better it gets. I'm hoping it's not a unatmospheric experience, espicially Zelda. I'm not that worried, i reckon i love it. And the launch line-up ain't that bad. It's missing Metroid and Smash Bros though, but i keep being told Nintendo can't release all there games at once. Warioware (even though it's coming out a week or so later) should have made day one, but i'm nit picking now. Although i thought this would be for the best? Just go into launch with all guns blazing? It's not like thats it for Nintendo games! We still have Disaster, Project Hammer, ForeverBlue etc...
Pit-Jr Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 something i noticed in the video, despite all the sacrasm and price bashing, theyre actually laughing and shouting while they play and commenting on every little movement. Whether they want to admit it, theyre having a good time Fast forward to the God of War 2 hands-on, they seem really emotion-less when they talk about it, even though they dont have anything bad to say about it
Teppo Holmqvist Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Although i thought this would be for the best? Just go into launch with all guns blazing? It is pretty stupid thing to do from pure business standpoint. If you put too many major titles into launch, they simply cannibalize each others sales and make 3rd parties life even worse. This is especially true for Nintendo which must prove 3rd parties that their games can also sell well on Nintendo's new console. If you release games in steady pace, you give players something to wait for each month and give more breathing space for 3rd parties.
gj15987 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Seems they think the Wii is shit apart from Zelda. Especially the hairy bloke lol.
Dcubed Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 What do the 1up guys say about the games? (Can't be bothered downloading it :p) Personally I think the Wii has a great launch lineup (My personal picks) Twilight Princess Trauma Center SO (Have to use the game's spelling ) Excite Truck Wii Play (Not for me since I'm picking up a US Wii, though I'm definately getting this one once it comes out) Red Steel (If the game sorts out it's controls) Super Monkey Ball BB Rayman RR Elebits (If it gets decent reviews, I like the look of this one but I'm not 100% sure) That's a great launch in my book! (Even without MP3, SPM and SMG)
Teppo Holmqvist Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Especially the hairy bloke lol. The hairy bloke is 1UP's own Xbox fanboy and is known for raising controversy just for sake of it. Attention whore really. Don't remember his name, though.
